Iโ€™m so proud of this crew all the time. ๏ธ I participated in part of the workout and it was ... What is EMPOWERED??? It is a 60 day strength program that I created to help people get comfortable with lifting weights. Have you ever lacked confidence to pick up weights in a gym setting? I know I have. ๐Ÿ˜ฐ I have also had many people come to me and tell me that this lack of confidence prevents them from beginning a strength training regimen. That is where I saw a need for a โ€œtransitionโ€ program. EMPOWERED is a dumbbell based program that can be done at home OR in the gym. It depends on your level of confidence with training in a gym setting. My hope for people who complete EMPOWERED is that they exit the program having enough knowledge and confidence to walk into the gym and execute strength training workouts without worry. ๐Ÿคฉ Many of the dumbbell based exercises can also be executed with a barbell once you hit the gym. We talk about the goal, the reason behind the goal, progress so far, failures, etc. Everyday SO MANY people fall victim to fads and plans that offer unrealistic results (at least for long term success/sustainability). ๐Ÿ˜ฐ

So Iโ€™m going to ask you to think about where you were a year ago and where you are now? A common theme I see is starting out with a 0-100 approach and sticking to that plan for period of time, eventually falling off track, binge eating, and starting over again on Monday. Wash. Rinse. Repeat. โŒ

I know many of you are in the exact same spot you were last year or maybe have even seen an increase in body fat or weight...moving further from the healthy body you envision. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I am going to give you something to think on today. What if instead of feeling like you have to go at a gazelleโ€™s pace with weight loss/fat loss, you slowed it down? Did you know if you lost a โ€œmeaslyโ€ 1/2 pound a week that youโ€™d be down 26 pounds at this time next year? Yes, a year is a long time but so is a lifetime if we are lucky. Would you be willing to commit to a realistic fitness and nutrition approach if you knew it would yield these kind of results? Making SMALL changes over time translates into a long term lifestyle change, not a short term solution. Isnโ€™t that what we are looking for? It isnโ€™t about suffering through a โ€œdietโ€ for a period of time and being done with it. It is about actual change in behavior and habits. ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ’—
