Chances are, you are running some serious “not enough” conversations in your head...whether it’s consciously or subconsciously.

I’m not pretty enough.
I’m not smart enough.
I’m not funny enough.
I’m not ______ enough.

Yep, that was me. Lots of “not enoughs”. I didn’t love myself enough to be myself.
.

I was constantly judging myself and I wasn’t accepting who I really was.
.

But here’s the kicker: how could I possibly expect others to love and accept me if I didn’t even love and accept myself?
.

I was living a self-fulfilling prophecy.
.

The interesting thing about judgement and rejection is that they are, in most cases, just a reflection of our own insecurities.
.

We tend to judge others based on what we believe is acceptable and we judge ourselves by that same criteria.
.

We essentially project our judgements and insecurities onto others.
.

When you fear someone is judging you, what you are really doing in that moment is judging yourself and the other person.
.

So, if it makes you feel better just know that when people judge you, it is about them...not you.
.

Have compassion for the person who is judging or rejecting you.
.

Just imagine how much they must be judging and rejecting themselves.
.

Stop rejecting yourself and others will stop rejecting you.
.

The more you fear that no one will like you for who you are, the less you will be who you are and the less of a chance people will even be given the opportunity to actually know who you are... let alone like you!!
.
Plus, you will attract other pretzels in your life who are being fake or inauthentic. Like attracts like!
.
Be true to YOU and always accepting of yourself and others.💕💕

That being said... I LOVE intermittent fasting. I find that it greatly supports my immune system, skin, energy, focus, clarity as well as my metabolism.
.
Personally, I think it’s great for people who are serious about improving their health and perhaps losing weight without overhauling their diet.
.
THIS IS HOW I DO IT:
I fast anywhere between 18-24 hours TWICE a week— usually Mondays and Wednesday’s or Tuesdays and Thursdays. Typically I fast for around 20 hours. So for example, I stop eating by 8pm and don’t eat again until 4pm the next day.
.
On the days where I’m not fasting, I just eat normally.💁🏻‍♀️
.
WHILE I’M FASTING I drink a TON of water!! This is suuuuuuper important because a) your body needs this to maintain healthy acidic levels during a fast 2) it helps you feel full! I drink at least 9-13 glasses of water on fasting days.
.
I also drink non-caffeinated tea all day long! I probably have at least 5 cups a day when I fast.
.

And YES, I workout on my fasting days first thing in the morning but I keep it nice and light. Maybe 20 mins of cardio, some upper body and abs. Nothing too intense.
.
And if you’re worried about losing muscle, don’t. Intermittent fasting Increases growth hormone levels, which preserves muscle mass.
.

Think about it! Next time you meet someone, take inventory real quick and be conscious of what is going on in that beautiful brain of yours!!

For example, I realized I was thinking thoughts like "do they like me?" "Do I have anything in my teeth" or other thoughts that are simply just a fear of judgment or rejection.
.

How are you going to be able to actually connect with the person you are meeting and absorb anything they say if you are in your own head the whole time worrying about what they think of you?
.

When I discovered I didn't have a ‘name memory disorder’ and I actually was just so concerned of what people would think of me that I wasn't even present and connected when meeting them-- my mind was BLOWN.
.

Now I can honestly say that focusing on being present and removing the fear conversations has totally freed me from the story of "I'm just bad at remembering names"!!
.

I went from remembering the names of maybe 1 out of every 10 people I met to now remembering almost all of them! Maybe averaging 6 or 7 now 😜... which is a big improvement!!
.
And I keep practicing this every time I meet new people!! Isn't that awesome?!?!🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 .

You truly are more powerful than you think!!!✨

Even though I published the digital version of my book on Kindle a few months ago…the feeling of actually holding the physical book in my hand is such a surreal, crazy feeling.

There were so many times during the course of writing this book where I thought, “who am I to write a book?” “who is even going to read this?” “what if someone reads it and hates it?” “what if they think it’s stupid?” … Let’s just say the self-doubt creeped in a LOT. Especially right before I hit that big PUBLISH button.

What I realized was this: YES, there will probably be some people who won’t think much of it and some who will hate it. AND there will also be some who will love it. There may also be someone who I am actually able to impact through my book.🙏🏼

I used to have a super unhealthy relationship with money. I had a major scarcity mindset.

There is a difference between budgeting and being responsible VS living in a scarcity mindset and depriving yourself of your needs/wants because of certain limiting beliefs.
.
Yes it is important to spend responsibly and save for the future, but not at the expense of the present.
.
Purchases are just an exchange of energy. That’s it.
.
Believe that money can come to you in various ways.  I envision money flowing freely around me like a river. Available to me at all times.
.
It might sound weird, but it calms me enough to trust and to know I’ll always have enough.
.
If you feel that you might have an unhealthy relationship with money — affirmations and visualizations can definitely help.
.
However, the MOST effective way is to actually get out of your comfort zone and do something that would normally make you feel SUPER UNCOMFORTABLE.
.
I remember one day, 4 girlfriends and I went to the nail salon to get manis and pedis.
I was committed to breaking through my scarcity mindset at the time. So what did I do? Something that I would have never done years before. I paid for all 5 of us — manis and pedis. Just because the thought of it made me feel super uncomfortable!!
.
I’ll always remember that day. It was a game changer for me.
.
We must get comfortable with being uncomfortable! That’s how we GROW.
.
The more you give and put out into the world, the more you get back. Period.
.

AND what you focus on is what you get!
.
You focus on scarcity and not having enough... you will keep attracting that in your life!
.
Practice abundance and living with an abundant mindset. Be free — spiritually, physically, financially! 🤗💕

And when I do that, it’s important for me to forgive myself for choosing that (instead of then getting angry at and blaming myself), take responsibility for how I feel about it, learn from it, let it go and choose powerfully forward.

The definition of INSANITY is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.
.
And it is usually a powerful emotion, like LOVE for example, that drives us to do things that are pure INSANE. Lol
.
We usually look back later on in life (once we have allowed ourselves to heal and move on) and LAUGH. .
Like, WHAT WAS I THINKING?!
.
Right????
.
And here’s the thing: that’s totally NORMAL. .
AND the more you are aware of what you are doing and why you are doing it, you can ask yourself:
.
Is the short term benefit worth the price you are paying or will end up paying?
.
Sometimes it helps me to write it out. I make a list of the short term “rewards” and then a list of the prices I pay for them.
.
Usually after I’m done, I realize how meaningless the short term reward is compared to what I’m paying. IT JUST ISN’T WORTH THE PRICE of my inner peace, happiness, freedom and all of the other things I’m trading for the short term gratification.
.
So next time you find yourself in this situation, make the list. Be brutally honest with yourself. And then choose consciously and own your choice.❤️❤️

Remember the quote by Carl Jung? “What you resist, persists.” The more you resist it, the more it festers and grows.

You must embrace and accept it, especially if you want to transform and transcend it.

I get judged all the time. So do you. We also are the ones doing the judging. It’s part of human nature.🏻‍♀️ We tend to gravitate toward those that WE perceive as least threatening to our way of life and our personal perspective. The truth is: we aren’t so different. It’s part of human nature.💁🏻‍♀️ We tend to gravitate toward those that WE perceive as least threatening to our way of life and our personal perspective.

The truth is: we aren’t so different.👽👽👽 And while judgement is natural, it’s what we do with it that matters.

So if I can leave you with just TWO THINGS when it comes to judgement... 1) Accept that you will be judged. It happens. Let go of fear of judgement because that is just plain unrealistic. All that matters is that you are in alignment with your beliefs and being true to yourself. Don’t let judgement of others or the fear of judgement have power over you, your decisions or your life.

2) Pay attention to how YOU judge others and how they could be a reflection of how you judge yourself. Are you robbing yourself of connection and oneness because of your own internal fears and projections? We can all find SOMETHING in common with every person.

How can you elevate the oneness in this world by transforming your judgement into acceptance? Could practicing this help you have greater acceptance of yourself too?

The first time I did this circuit, MY ASS WAS SORE FOR 5 DAYS STRAIGHT! lol . Seriously, give it a shot next time you go to the gym. Do all 3 exercises back to back without rest in between, then take a 1-2 min rest and do it over again. Complete a total of 4 sets for max effect! . . DO NOT do the same ... There is probably some fear around it that we don’t want to face. And that’s okay.

It’s actually pretty crazy how opposite San Diego is from where I grew up. In Seattle, 70% of the year is gloomy and rainy. No sunshine. Here it’s the exact opposite and I LOVE IT! Lol

I’ve gotten DMs from some of you asking me what I do for a living and I’ve replied privately… but I’ve never really shared it publicly... only my family and close friends really know.

I had an incredible breakthrough today around this and why I’ve been hiding out.

It actually brought me to tears when I sat and thought about it.
.
Being what society considers as an “attractive-looking woman” (ugh weird saying that) has it’s perks but it also has it’s downsides…just like anything else.
.
I used to (and still do) get immediately discredited when it comes to intellect because of how I look. People wouldn’t take me seriously and would assume I was just a pretty face. The “all beauty, no brains” stereotype.
.
The sad part is, I actually started to believe it. I became really insecure about my intellect and business skills.
.
I’ve come a long way and have really owned my worth when it comes to business (I just landed 2 of the biggest contracts of my life), yet I still find myself hiding…
.
For what?!? WHYYY
.
Literally EVERYTHING has it’s downsides/disadvantages… It’s what you focus on that matters!! It’s all perception! I saw my appearance as a disadvantage in my industry and this was eating away at my confidence and robbing me of my success!
.
That’s why I am CHOOSING to focus on the upside and view it as an advantage. Because it totally can be!

I’m DONE hiding. I am fully embracing who I am and what I do. I am a CEO #BossBabe business woman and I create kickass brands, websites and marketing strategies for my incredible, successful clients and partners.

Growing up, I was taught that when someone offers something to me that the “polite” thing to do is say “no thank you” and that accepting something right away was “rude” and “impolite”. (This is part of Japanese culture btw)

When I was 6 or 7 years old I got in trouble for accepting food that was offered to me by one of my friend’s parents. I remember feeling shame and guilt for accepting it.
.
In that moment what I made up was that accepting and allowing myself to receive was “bad” / “wrong” and “shameful”.
.

This is not the truth. This is something I made up years ago when I was a little girl.
.
The problem was - I had been telling myself this lie subconsciously and NO WONDER accepting things felt uncomfortable for me and sometimes still does!
.
.
It is so powerful to take time to uncover any lies you have been telling yourself and how they could be affecting you now. AND realize they are lies and not the truth!!
.
The truth is: I am worthy of receiving and that when I allow myself to receive, I am giving to others and the Universe. ❤️

I cannot think of a single moment in my life where he was not there for me. I cannot think of a single moment where he didn’t empower me to be the best woman I can be.

He is my light when I am in the dark. Whenever I feel lost, he reminds me to trust myself to know the way.

He has taught me more lessons than I can count. He taught me integrity, courage, determination, self-belief, and most of all --unconditional love.

Here’s an example of how awesome my dad is…

Growing up, I didn’t earn an allowance by doing house chores like most of my friends did. That was just part of living and contribution in our home.
.
My dad had a shelf of books. Each book was worth a certain $ amount (self-growth type books like Who Moved My Cheese, Rich Dad Poor Dad, 10 Habits of Highly Effective Teens, etc..). If we wanted to earn an allowance- we read a book. Then we wrote an essay on what we learned and my dad gave us a verbal quiz for each book. If we passed, we got the $$. .
How cool is that?!?

My dad is a HUGE part of who I am today. Words will never be able to express how I feel about him and how incredibly blessed I feel to be his daughter. No words.

I am brought to tears thinking about how thankful I am for this man and everything he is and continues to be for me. Wow. I am so lucky…

I love you so much dad. I love and cherish our incredible relationship and close bond that we share. I know you always say how proud of me you are and what a gift I am to you. Well, I am SO PROUD to be your daughter and being born into your arms has been the greatest gift of all. I am forever your little girl. Happy Father's Day dad!

I do upper body every other day. Sometimes I’ll target a specific muscle group but most of the time I just do circuits like this that target multiple muscle groups in one circuit and I go back to back from each muscle group to the next with minimal breaks in between.

This specific circuit targets different areas of your back (including that area right by your armpit and above your bra strap), your triceps and biceps.
.
Repeat 3X for the full effect😊 with 1-2 mins of rest between sets. .

What I’ve learned so far: Shit happens. Like the dirtiest, ugliest shittiest shit. Sometimes you trust people- your best friends, your family, the people you hold nearest and dearest to your heart- and they let you down & hurt you. It happens.

This is why it is so important to practice emotional intelligence because everything in my non-emotionally-intelligent-ego-body wants to do and say the worst things right now. It wants to question all loyalty and never trust girls again...But I know better.

Everything has a purpose…even if it’s a f*^cked up one. It’s better that the people who aren’t good for you weed themselves out of your life sooner than later.

Forgiveness is in the works, though I’m not quite there or ready for it yet. As one of my girlfriends said, “we forgive for us, not for them.” Holding on to resentment and pain will only cause suffering. I know forgiveness will bring me peace… when I’m ready.

So, I’m not going to come on here and be fake or try and be all positive right now. I’m going to be raw and real because that’s who I am and what I stand for. And right now I am upset, shocked and hurt.

I share all of this to remind you that my life and yours is not always sunshine and sparkles. And that’s okay. That’s part of life and being human.

Because at the end of the day I have me and you have you…and that’s all that matters. My amazing friends and incredible boyfriend who have been there to support me is like a huge added bonus.
