When Steve and his wife were expecting their first child, he decided to buy a DSLR camera and learn photography to take beautiful photos of their daughter. Living in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, he realized that he should also photograph his wonderful surroundings. ⠀

As he began to study nature photography, he saw a magnificent photograph of a Great Gray Owl and embarked on an 8-month journey to find and photograph one. After finding his first owl, he became obsessed with photographing them and documenting their behaviors. ⠀
