The beauty of it is that you can do anywhere, anytime and with no equipment and it’s a decreasing pyramid of work so you can put your least favorite exercise at the end, like burpees 💪🏻🤮 if you want a little bit more of a challenge, just add in an “accidental” 2km Dead Ball Carry to start and finish 🤦‍♀️😂

Mansour & I spend four days there together with my parents and their horses. We had such a beautiful time also with our family who lives there 💗 We arrived Thursday evening and after we created a paddoc for the horses we had dinner with some of the family 😊 On Friday my parents & I did a 12km hiking tour with the horses. Mansour & I went only with the neckrope and he was so perfect 😍 (picture 5-7) back at our camp we ordered pizza and celebrated into my cousins birthday the next day 🏕🔥🍕 I didn’t had much sleep before getting up on Saturday at 6am for our endurance ride 😂 We started & rode together with friends and Mansour behaved perfectly even though sometimes the other horses didn’t 🙈😅 But we all arrived happily the finish line after 41km (picture 1-4). I’m so proud of Mansour, all vet checks where great and we got place 15 from 30 together with our two friends 🏆👌🏻
While I had some fun with the family Mansour got a long and well deserved break till afternoon. Then we went to a field and my cousin took some videos with his drone of us 😍 (picture 8) Mansour was a bit skeptical first but he did great and we cantered together with the drone above us over the field! Mansour was okay with the weird sounding thing chasing us but as it suddenly bursted into a tree right behind us he was scared of the noise and made a few uncontrollable gallop steps before I could stop him again 🙈 The drone didn’t liked the crash either... 😕 so we went back again. The evening we spend with dinner besides the horses paddoc again. It was so peaceful watching them laying down sleeping while we sat there talking till late in the evening 😊 The next day I got up early again because my cousin (without riding experience 🤓) rode the 6km “mini (children) endurance ride” with Mansour! Of course I lead Mansour but they both did a great job 👏🏻🏆 (video 9) After the winner ceremony we had our well deserved breakfast and then went on a last walk with the horses & family again before we drove home.
Such a beautiful vacation with Mansour, his buddys, my parents, cousins, aunt and everyone else from the family - thank you all so much 💛💛💛

It's not always easy and it's rarely quick. It takes time in the process, time in the waiting, time in the seeking, time in the strengthening-of-our-character, the sticking-with-it, the staying-the-path.

I love Heb 6:15, AMP: And so it was that Abraham, having waited long and endured patiently, realized and obtained what God had promised him.

The promises of God are as true for us as they were for Abraham, but it's through patient endurance, strong faith, and staying the path, that we'll realize and obtain the fullness of His promises in our lives.

But mark His word, we WILL walk in the fullness of them, whether here on earth or in heaven. EVERY promise He made will be fulfilled.

Not everything I’ve been expectant for has come to pass (yet). But it doesn’t stop me from fixing my hope and faith in the One who is able. Some prayers, hopes, dreams may be years away from fruition. I’m okay with that. But it’s also possible a fulfilled hope is almost here. Why would I stop short now? I know He is faithful.

Let's ask the Holy Spirit to stir up our faith, hope, and resolve... let's commit to doing our part, strengthening our faith, confessing and repenting unchecked sin… let’s lay aside things that suffocate our faith, hope, and joy (we’re looking at you, Netflix and aimless social media rabbit trails). Let's allow His established and unshakable word to energize and renew our minds and hearts. Amen?

For God, the Faithful One, is not unfair. How can he forget the work you have done for him? He remembers the love you demonstrate as you continually serve his beloved ones for the glory of his name. In each event, members of the team took the podium. In the Half Ironman, the team swept the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the 16-19 and 20-24 age groups (both men's and women's). 4/C Connor Suess, 3/C Jeffery Guilliams, 4/C Meg Peacher, and 2/C Anna Lawrence won their respective divisions. In the 50 Miler, 2/C Aaron Smith won the men's 18-24 age group and 3/C Mary Machniak placed 2nd overall for women, having never run even a marathon prior. Last week, 2/C Adam Thomas and 1/C Collin Rogers completed 5 laps of the course, totaling 22 miles of obstacles. #PhysicalMission

The interesting thing about these two traits is if you want to grow in them, you will have to continually sacrifice something (comfort, people, time, old habits, etc). We can't just wake up with more endurance and discipline.... it takes faith and work.

One thing I love about exercising is it teaches you to pursue pain, to gain strength. The more you train your body to be subject to the goal you set in your mind. The less you will be willing to settle for average performance or results in other parts of your life. .
The less you will tolerate the fear of leaving your 9-5 to start the business God gave you a vision for. .
The less you'll tolerate diabetes running rampid in your family.

Eu indico fortemente as avaliações para determinar as zonas de intensidade na bike e na corrida, feita com maestria pelo professor @gersonleite na @carelab.trifosfato, e também avaliações de força e potência. Isso mesmo, avaliações de força e potência são essenciais para atletas de endurance!

Treinos de força e potência são primordiais para qualquer atleta de endurance, amador ou profissional, que queira melhorar sua performance através do aumento da economia de movimento. Ou seja, treinar força e potência deixa o atleta mais “econômico” durante a pratica do seu esporte, o que permite aplicar maiores distâncias ou intensidades durante a prática esportiva. Avaliar essas 2 capacidades implicam tanto em monitorar os níveis de força e potência quanto prescrever as cargas ideais dessas 2 capacidades. Мы с напарниками #TrinityTeam @a.a.pavlov и @pavelfilippov_ показали неплохой результат ... Новый, тяжелый, но интереснейший опыт!✊🏼 Завершили первую в России 8-часовую гонку на выносливость Endurance Cup победой в классе Pro🏆(команда из 3х человек, выступающая на одном мотоцикле). Мы с напарниками #TrinityTeam @a.a.pavlov и @pavelfilippov_ показали неплохой результат и в целом всё прошло чётко и слажено, без глобальных технических неполадок🔝 Были вынуждены дважды вернуться в бокс для прокачки переднего тормоза, на что потратили в общей сложности около 7 минут. Но это мелочные проблемы для такой сложной гонки😅
Команда справилась с задачей на отлично - БЕЗ падений и БЕЗ ошибок! Горжусь нашим результатом #TrinityTeam Спасибо @antonrudov🔝😎✊🏼

Difficult but very interesting and emotional experience competing in 8H Endurance Cup🔝 We’ve got 1st place in class Pro (team of 3 riders competing on 1 bike)🏆 and showed the best result for #TrinityTeam with my mates @a.a.pavlov and @pavelfilippov_ , having finished the 8H race without any crash or huge technical problem💪🏼. Troubles with brakes had forced us to make 2 extra pit-stops - so we’ve lost around 7 min. Nevertheless these were rather tiny technical problems for such a long endurance race🧐

Racing “The Last Desert” in Antarctica is not nearly as harrowing as the fabled 1914 Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition that stranded Earnest Shackleton and his crew attempting the first land crossing of the continent. But anyone that ventures out into the harsh landscape faces challenges and struggles, you just can’t always see their pain faces behind the layers. And even aided by more modern technology the risks of being in such a remote and desolate place are very real. On day four of the six stage race runners were navigating a route marked out across a glacier when winds shifted and sent an ice flow towards the bay where racers had come ashore. If the ice made its way to the bay racers would be unable to navigate back to the ship on the small zodiac boats, an expected risk for the race mitigated by requiring racers to bring ashore an emergency bag with a sleeping bag, bivy and extra layers in case they were stranded. However organizers quickly called off the stage and rallied everyone back to the start of the loop and shuttled everyone back to the Plancius before the ice arrived. The Plancius itself easily pushed through the ice which made for an enjoyable half day of rest cruising the Antarctic peninsula watching killer whales, penguins and seals and buzzing past the Port Lockroy and the four British women who operate the “Penguin Post Office.” If you ever get a chance check out the book “Endurance” about Shackleton’s expedition which includes some incredible photographs by the ship’s photographer Frank Hurley who documented the two years stranded in Antarctica (my favorite being some of the night images of the Endurance trapped in ice and illuminated by flares). #thelastdesert #racingtheplanet #penguinpostoffice #portlockroy #4deserts #endurance #antarctica #fortitudinevincimus #mydearpolarexplorers

We will present an overwhelming amount of information from decades of combined experiences across the broadest ranges of effort. From the millisecond contraction put into a successful snatch to a 63-hour nonstop push, energy and output must be considered, planned, and understood. Although movement will happen as demonstration and a break from conversation, peak physical condition is not required, but we would appreciate a peaked (and piqued) curious mind. What should you look for in your pre? ✨This will be dependent on your goals and when you are training. A well rounded preworkout will give you energy & focus, improve your endurance & stamina and give you a killer pump. Typically this is a combination of caffeine sources, nootropics (stimulant free compounds that help increase focus), ingredients like creatine and beta alanine for improving your endurance/stamina and a variety of compounds to improve blood flow. Because who doesn't love a good pump 🤘🏻 This pump can actually help you maximize hypertrophy too so #winning all around. If you are training late at night or are very caffeine sensitive, you may want to look for a stimulant free preworkout or take half the dose.

Do you need one? ✨ While I would not consider a preworkout a foundational supplement • like greens, protein powder & multivitamins • if maximizing each training session is a goal of yours, I'd recommend adding one in. Each time I walk into the gym I'm trying to get the absolute most out of that session so I'm doing everything to maximize it 👉🏻 proper nutrient timing, hydration and supplementation.

When should you use it? ✨This will be highly dependent on your lifestyle and calorie balance. If you're up early as hell for work and are dragging ass, a pre can give you the boost you need. If you're in a calorie deficit • aka dieting • then a pre can really help you out. It's important not to rely on the pre if it's stimulant based but rather have it at your disposal when you need it. In the offseason, I use less pre because I'm fully fed and recovered. But occasionally I want to just walk in and fuck shit up in the gym so I'll take one. During prep, I use a pre a lot more consistently but I do make sure to gradually add it in for the maximum effect.

My favorite pre workout is @1stphorm's Project 1 🙌🏻 Y'all this is the real deal. It checks all the boxes 📦 energy & focus, improved stamina and kick ass pump. Grape popsicle is also the jam. I'm not usually a grape fan but this one is sweet yet tart and oh so tasty. 🍇

One of the greatest teachings I received was about raising up boys to be men that always give and never take and raising up girls to be women to want to help the men who always give and never take. I pray for my young ladies to see only men that give to the measure of Christ. The measure of His love and loyalty He has for the church. Selfless, self-sacrificing love. A love that is always giving. Not that man can measure up to Christ’s love by himself but through the Holy Spirit of God. A lot of people may have potential but it’s the zeal that brings their potential to reality. Zeal for the Lord is evident. See the men that give and never take. Not that you need to go out and look but some just need to see. And to those who are battling this stage of life focus on God and his preparation for you. Learn your purpose and practice it with your relationship with Christ. He first loved you, He gives to always and He has a love so deep. Know Him because he might place someone in your life who does the same but you’re just not used to it or can even see it. Pray for timing, Gods timing, pray for patience, patience that only comes from the Lord, and pray for endurance, endurance that only produces good.

This is where an intelligent approach to keeping this region of your body healthy and resilient comes into play.

Para confirmar isso, saiu um artigo em janeiro de 2018 com o objetivo de verificar a influencia do treinamento de força na performance da corrida, ciclismo e natação em atletas de meia e longa distância. Foram separados 28 estudos que atenderam a todos os critérios de inclusão dos autores.

Resultados: O treino de força máxima (definido aqui como treinamento pliométrico, treinamento de sprint e séries de 4 a 6 repetições máximas para força e potência) foi o modelo de treino que mais gerou economia de movimento na corrida, ciclismo e natação, fora os aumentos de força e potência muscular. Esses resultados foram independentes do nível de condicionamento inicial dos atletas.

É triste ver técnicos e assessorias denominarem treinos com agachamentos sem peso, pranchas e saltos sem técnica (treino de pliometria é extremamente complexo e envolve vários exercícios) de preparação física. A preparação física para esportes de endurance é bem mais que isso, e quando feita de forma correta auxilia demais a performance na endurance. Fica a dica!

Foram utilizados 15 triatletas, divididos em 2 grupos: Grupo concorrente (força + endurance, 8 atletas) ... Millet et al (2002) realizaram um interessante estudo aonde o objetivo era verificar a influência de 14 semanas de treinamento de força de alta intensidade na performance de corrida. Foram utilizados 15 triatletas, divididos em 2 grupos: Grupo concorrente (força + endurance, 8 atletas) e Grupo endurance (sem treinamento de força, 7 atletas). Os treinos de força foram realizados 2x por semana, sendo utilizados 6 exercícios p/ MMII (Quadríceps, Isquiotibiais e Panturrilhas); 3 a 5 séries de 3 a 5 repetições, com uma carga aproximada de 90% de 1RM, sendo o teste de 1RM feito a cada 3 semanas para adequar as cargas. Como resultado o treinamento de força foi eficiente na melhora da economia de corrida e velocidade do vo2max.

É óbvio que existem necessidades específicas para cada tipo de corredor, além de fases de treinamento, limitações, entre outros fatores. O ponto é que já existem evidências científicas que validam a utilização de treinamento de força (musculação, funcional, etc..) com altas cargas para melhorar a performance de corredores (treinamento de força juntamente com os treinos de endurance, obviamente). Procure um profissional qualificado que este irá saber como prescrever sua preparação física!

On 12-12-05 we were at Children’s for a 10-hour surgery to disconnect the 2 sides of his brain. It has been quite a journey. And today 12-12-18 we are here again ... I was reminded today (like literally by a friend 🤣) that today is the 13th anniversary of John Lawson’s brain surgery at 17-months old. On 12-12-05 we were at Children’s 🎈 for a 10-hour surgery to disconnect the 2 sides of his brain. It has been quite a journey. And today 12-12-18 we are here again as part of our journey. We must remember that there is no perfect fix, only things to be learned along the way. We have learned that the little one from this picture has persevered through so much and for the most part has suffered well - and with a lot of support & love from friends and family. ❤️ He has taught me more than I have taught him. And so we march on! Also, he wants a “hospital bed with wheels” for Christmas 🎄 🙈🤷🏻‍♀️ “Not only that, but we also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, endurance produces character, and character produces hope. My buddy, @mcchesney30 , joined me using some of the awesome equipment that @strong_barbell_club has to offer for farmer walks, and walking with heavy weight. Then, I decided to work on some form with sumo deadlifts, and can only improve on my weak points. After that, we ended it with some belt squats and those 10-15 second isometric holds killed my booty with a smile! I generally take my off days seriously, but can never turn down a day when a bro wants to lift. I can only work on my weak points to further my progress for when I’m on stage.

At the end of the day, I got thinner, stronger, a lot more tanned(actually burned) and some nice photos are more than enough😜😜!! ———

This might look impressive, but honestly I didn't do much training for this. Lifting heavy weights strengthens your body and suddenly you can do all types of crazy shit you didn't even know you were capable. I just looked at the pull up bar one day and just thought fuck it? Why not?

I truly believe that lifting heavy will allow most people to achieve their fitness goals: be stronger, leaner and have an improved cardiovascular system. There are also a ton of other benefits:

I increased my pull ups from a whopping 2, to 12 in just 8 weeks without doing a single pull up.

Squatting heavy improves your cardiovascular system and leg power which increases runspeed and endurance. I don't do any running training, yet I've missed busses and ran to catch them at the next bus stop before.

The testosterone increase (even in women) makes you more confident and decisive. Incrementally lifting heavier weights boosts your confidence by revealing your capabilities and developing a mental fortitude for when things get tough. .
Better sex. Well let's just say increased endurance, core strength, and hip drive, happily carry over into other areas as well 😉
