The day started off badly with a little casual catastrophic motor failure that left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. Luckily my bad luck was luckily timed and my day only got better from there. The tow truck arrived in ten minutes, which was a relief as the only nearby sign of civilization was a cemetery and I didn't want this day to be my last. The big tough mechanic who declared my soccer mom van dead on arrival was followed around by an adorable little pupper named Abby with a pink heart tag. With my lovely mother approximately 2.5 hours away, I decided to explore the sights of Wabamun, Alberta. I tried to buy some cookie dough but I had spent all my cash earlier on a double big mac, large milkshake, and medium fries and the store was cash only (I'm trying to cut down my order size but even with this reduced order I am ashamed to have my bank judge my spending habits). I left disappointed and set off to find the library. My quest was successful yet underwhelming. All of this cardio left me hot and bothered so I discovered the village's beach while buying a cookie from a friendly lady. Thus the great Wabamum Iceberg of 2017 was spotted floating right by the beach. I melted away from the scene and stumbled upon a very cool local museum where, among other neat things, I played Duck Hunter (orange gun and all)! Then a young fish tried to bum a cigarette off of me but I am not that gillable and told him to stay in school. He flipped me off as he left. Finally, an angel arrived and after treating her to ice cream, we left for the megalopolis of Hinton, even though a crazy hail storm tried to hold us back. #cantholdus #hailthenightking #wabamun #everyonestaredatme #lostacar #gainedsomememories #novel

Amid a sea of foreign sounds and unique aromas, we mingle and come together, sharing what we love and discovering something new from others, items that are handmade or gathered from faraway. At the marketplace, connections are made and communities are built - not unlike our beloved Frock community, which gathers online to share and explore things we love. When we were growing up in Sydney, Australia, our Mum knew she could always find us scouring the local Bondi markets for one-of-a-kind artisan pieces. We would work for hours babysitting and stockpile our hard-earned cash for the inevitable treasure quest. As gleeful, enthusiastic hunters, we would pursue every corner of the market to discover that one magical thing that would make our insides dance, plastering smiles on our faces as we proudly displayed our newfound discoveries. We could never get enough.
In our travels, together with our families, our first stop is always the local markets. Chaya and I are like eager children, hungrily taking in the new, exciting foreign sights, sounds and scents. It’s the way we acclimate and feel at
home.

We get a sense of who the people are, what they buy, what they like, their stories, their most treasured possessions, what they eat for breakfast. People gather, we connect, we talk, we share, we explore, we taste, we buy, and we leave with not only that exciting new item, but a story to share once we buy that pillow and display it on the couch at home.

On our trips to Israel, we always love paying a visit to the Shuk on a Friday. It’s hard to describe the energy, yet it is palpable. It’s more than just what we buy. It’s the atmosphere of connection, newness and diversity. There’s always something new, yet strangely familiar because it comes from real people, who become family as we share our stories through our shopping.

Now, we are thrilled to bring to life our Shuk experience with you, at TheFrockNYC.com

Stay tuned, for #TheShuk, a marketplace by The Frock. #shuastrong

This majestic fort in Agra was a sight to behold! But the entrance fee was too high for my budget so I just admired it from the outside. It cost 500 rupees, which is about £5.50, for foreign tourists and only 30 rupees for Indians. My daily budget is 900 rupees and my hostel cost me 400 so I decided I'd rather eat than go inside. Things like this are usually more impressive from the outside anyway.
I understand the idea of charging foreigners more, the vast majority of us are away with cash to splash and earn higher, but as I told a tour guide trying his best to convince me to buy a ticket - I'm not on holiday.
Also, I don't understand why they'd make a rubbish tip in its surrounding gardens. It is a shame. Perhaps they should use some of the entrance fee to employ people from the slum over the road to collect the rubbish, sort it for recycling / dispose of it properly, thus making it cleaner and giving the people a chance to earn a better life.
Anyways, I like Agra much more than Jaipur, but I had another tuktuk driver incident... Trying to charge us 1000 for driving us to a few different places. The day hire rate is generally around 600 (or 400 if you're alone) from about 10am - 5 30pm. We took him from about midday until 4 30pm and we told him he didn't have wait around whilst we went in a cafe for an hour, we'd call him when we needed him again. Then he tried to charge us for waiting time... Which, by the way, is included in the day rate anyway.
Honestly, face palm moment. We were stood on the street arguing about it, making a nice scene for the passers by. We'd offered 500, which is more than if we'd just taken separate drivers to each place anyway. Until one of the hostel workers came out and I couldn't understand the language but I'm pretty sure said stop being a douche, take the money and go. So he took it.
And then this morning the same driver was outside all fake sunshine and false smiles saying he'd take me somewhere for free. Oh hell no you won't, nothing is for free. I put my headphones in and kept walking. I had to cross the street so he'd stop tailing me down the road.

In my experience, having listened to people in studios through out my travels , many tattooers tend to buy into very limited belief systems . Not everyone , but large swaths of people. They say things like, this is how it has always been done, or should continue to be done. They get upset with change or artists pushing toward new levels . We tend to be a cynical group, fearing much and gossiping more. If you work in a studio I guarantee you’ve seen or heard someone shit talk someone trying to break out of limitations. Shoot I guarantee my writings although appreciated by some are shit talked by more. I for one will not let someone’s opinion of me dictate my life. I’m sharing this, because my format is altering and expanding some. When I speak, I speak from not just what I’ve studied and learned but what I’ve lived (and yes I study and read extensively). I do not talk from situations I don’t live (unless I am asked to and I get enough information from people that have , that can offer them a format to speak from). People continually tell me I can cash in on what I’m sharing, yes of course it would be nice to make some money from the time invested . But I do it because I want to help. If people doubt my intentions , they can only be upset that I’ve freely given away my time to help others , so in my opinion their opinion means jack shit. Please take time to read the Creative Journey Posts. They are for you and I guarantee they are informative and useful. I wouldn’t waste your time or Mine if I didn’t think they could help.
As for the cynics and angry little shop folks that merely spit venom, expand your beliefs beyond theirs and your life will open amazing doors. Let them sit in small cynical Back pat circles talking about how they are right and everyone else is wrong , while you grow into your greatness!

I hope and wish that I can spoil them with love and gifts they truly deserve. I surprised my dad with @zegnaofficial shoes today because I know he really wanted them. He probably would’ve never gotten them because he puts me and my mom first so I called, put them on hold and went to buy them cash! I love you dad you are appreciated I see all the hard work you do to get ahead and get what you want and that’s what has taught me to NEVER rely on someone to get it for me but to get it MYSELF. Work hard play hard!! Now when you wear these shoes just know I follow your footsteps and I admire you as a role model and true father. I love you ❤️ and for everyone PLEASE LOVE your parents SPOIL them LOVE them and give them what you can from your heart wether it’s affection, attention or support! Proverbs 31 is written by King Lemuel and he is sharing what his mother taught him. This is important to me as a mom of boys! The Proverbs 31 woman isn't just an example for women, she is what King Lemuel's mother describes to him as a wife of noble character. She is a woman who can be trusted. Over my twenty years of being a wife and mom, this verse has been a constant reminder to me. How do we live this out personally? When I was raising little boys, my husband trusted that I was taking good care of our children while he was at work and school. When our budget was tight and the economy was bad here in Michigan, my husband could trust that I would be as frugal as possible and make our dollars stretch. We lacked no good thing! I've also realized that being content with what God provides for us is not only trusting and being grateful to God, but it is a way to love my husband. If I am discontent or always wanting more, my husband will feel pressure to provide more or feel that what we have is not good enough. When we set financial goals, I want my husband to trust that I will do my part. I won't buy all the cute dresses and shoes 😉, but will select what I can purchase with the cash I have. I won't forget the bigger goal when I'm purchasing things for our home. I'm certainly not perfect, none of us are, but the Lord will continue to work in us if we have a willing heart. #proverbs31woman #proverbs31

I see all over scripture how God is for blessings and prosperity. So many strong Christians do not believe this. Or they say, He blesses us only to be a blessing, kinda true; but here is the thing, the blessing should never have us. We should have the blessing.

Meaning, we should have a generous heart. When we see a need, we should give. We shouldn't be penny pinchers, I love it when God puts on my heart to buy someone a grocery card, gas card, or hire someone to do work around the house/yard because they need to earn some extra cash to get by.. if we weren't blessed, we couldn't do those things.
Deuteronomy 28:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)

11 The Lord will give you great prosperity, in the offspring of your body and in the offspring of your livestock and the produce of your ground, in the land which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.

What a promise! Even our children will prosper. I see this over and over in our lives, and our children's lives.
Today's challenge
Get to know God's promises, and begin to declare them. Believe them, act on them.

Going all in on your convictions is scary but exciting. When something tugs at your heart so much that it can’t be ignored you have to do something. Last year I partnered with an organization called @homesforhomes who are doing some incredible things to change the world. They build homes for people who’s needs and living situations are unimaginable. I thought “what if I donated $250 from every closing to Homes For Homes instead of the basic realtor gifts like a fruit basket or a candle and see how we can make the world a better place.” We were able to build 2 homes which is great but when I was invited to got to their appreciation lunch I was extremely convicted. I am sitting in a room full of big time realtors who have made 100s of millions of dollars and we could have done so much more... I couldn’t shake the fact that for only $3,500 we could give a new life for a family... a new life for their children and their children’s children... we can provide jobs for local workers allowing villages to thrive... and I wanted to do more... what if I became the “Toms of real estate?” What if I designed my business in a way that for every home I help my clients buy and sell we in turn build a house for someone in Uganda , Guatemala or Mexico? I am tired of sitting on the sidelines doing as little as possible to change the world. So I am ALL IN... I know it sounds crazy but I also know in this country we have WAY more then we need. This decision isn’t easy... I have a family I am responsible to provide for but I want my kids to see that it’s more important to build a legacy the build a nest egg of cash that won’t make a difference. So that is my calling ... and we are going to change the world!!! If you are buying or selling a home (or know of anyone that is) and want to take something as mundane as a real estate transaction and use those funds to make an actual difference let’s take this opportunity to change someone’s life forever!

I continue the Plastic Free July challenge with @mcs_uk and @roamresponsibly and many others and happy to share some of the tips from my regular routine of a conscious consumerism.

I love doing bulk orders for everyday essentials. It’s sustainable and saves me a lot of time. Or, if that’s not possible for whatever reason, I then choose the biggest pack at least, this way I save some packaging materials (I try to pick brands that use recyclable materials)

Things like soap. It’s used everyday, runs out pretty fast so I choose to buy the biggest size available and then cut in half’s. This way I get to save not only purchasing time, packaging materials but also some cash, all equally important.

We have an ambitious goal for this year's total revenue, and while we're trailing behind the goal, we are seeing more revenue than last year. And we may finally get a line of credit from a bank. Since we don't have investors, and our profit margins are small, this would be huge to have more cash flow! After 8 years of business, I'm finally figuring that out...
*
To reach our sales goal, we have things in the works one by one, and then we run with them. It looks more disorganized than it really is (ha!). However, when those dollars are met, our nonprofit partners could fund ALL their border stations to make sure not one girl in Nepal gets past the Indian border as a sex trafficking victim. It's sad to know girls are currently being sold for sex, and we cannot help fight it as much as we want to, but we are grateful we are getting closer!
*
Thank you for providing the means to work toward this by choosing to buy your clothing fairly made and mission minded. You've been knocking our 25% off Sale on Sale items out of the water and it's already broken records for July dollars (and it's only the 11th day of the month). Thank you for partnering with us! ✨

P.S. That's @hannastolzer wearing our Roxanne french terry dress while she was in Greece! We have less than 10 of these left, and it's part of the sale. So...if you want it, tap the link in our profile asap ;-)

::
::
excuse 1: “i’ll wait until guests come/the holidays/someone gives them to me.” wait for a perfect moment, and it’ll never happen. YOU are the reason to buy fresh flowers. no fancy party necessary or good enough reason to wait. when we squander appreciation in the ordinary NOW, we also close ourselves off to the “+” transformation we want in our lives NOW.
::
::
excuse 2: “i don’t know where i’d put a vase of flowers.” start in the kitchen. it’s a place where everyone will enjoy them. and since the kitchen is synonymous with prosperity + wealth, this TLC will
have you singing “do(ugh), ray, me!”
::
::
excuse 3: “they don’t last long enough.” i hear you – i really, really do. and i once would’ve nodded along. but flowers are brilliant masters teaching us to enjoy the present fully because no two moments are EVER the same. when we resist change to keep things the same, energy gets stagnant, stale, and the colors drain away. we stop feeling inspired; we fall into a rut and get stuck there. flowers are a convenient way to limber up energy patterns in our homes + lives, keeping everything — including YOU — freshy fresh.
::
::
excuse 4: “i bought flowers, but nothing has changed.” flowers uplift your energy — guaranteed. even if it’s not noticeable immediately, the air around you is changing. with each sip of water, flowers literally move right in front of us. and every small change there will improve your energy head to toe! xo

They’re so many reasons why investing(or learning to invest) in the stock market should apart of life itinerary. But here i’ll just single out a few.

Investing in stocks give you instant access and part ownership of a major company. That’s correct, the stores you go to every day,the products you’ve been buying for years most are on the stock exchange & you can invest your money in them and gain part ownership💵😬💵😬.

Also, you begin to make money without having to physically labor or trade your time to earn it.Most people only know of what’s called “active income”, that’s when you go to work & trade your time for a wage ($10 a hour, $16 a hour, $20 a hour). So when you aren’t working, you have no income flow.Investing in stocks is completely different.Once you buy shares, your money starts working.Though the market goes up and down every second, over the long term your money earns atleast 8-10% a year.

Getting paid two ways without moving once. The two ways you earn money through investing in stocks are “Stock Appreciation” & “Dividends”. How stock
appreciate works is: Let’s say you purchased 10shares of a company at $15
a share, well some god news is out about that company and it causes the share price to go up to $25 in two days. Well you can sell how every many of those shares you want for $25. So that means you’ve made $10 off each share with out moving a muscle. Now imagine if that happen to a company you’ve invested in for 10 years and you had 1000 shares. You just hit a good lick🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 (things like this happen all the time). Another great thing about stocks are, it’s liquid.Liquid is how fast an asset can turn to cash. No other investment can turn into cash as fast as stocks. If you sold a house, you’d have to wait to find a seller , and go through that whole process, then wait till the check cleared. With stocks, once you tap “Sell”, that money is instantly yours, it hits your account Asap!

Lastly but definitely not least, You can pass those shares down to your kids.

Chasing money will have you running a rat race or a hamster wheel forever because it will never be enough. There’s no shortage of unhappy, unhealthy, old rich people in this world that are still working day and night, chasing the bag and missing out on real valuable elements of life. Others chase material things that money can buy — due to a great business strategy, marketing tools, consumer information, entertainment content & social media — creating a collective illusion within society, which for decades have resulted in huge demands & sales for big corps, making these companies incredibly powerful without any regards for the consumer’s general health or safety. People are starting to awaken & see the ugly true colors of big companies & brands that they loved & loyally supported for years. When money or sales is the top priority, everything else such as justice, consciousness, integrity, morals, social issues will fall short, creating the problems & issues we have right now. "The ends justify the means” for some is a legit reason to lie, cheat, steal, and hurt others to obtain these things — but it only creates the lowest vibrations, frequencies & karma that will guarantee to attract the worst events & things back to that individual. There is a big difference in chasing a bag by all means to creating & manifesting abundance in harmonic alignment with the universe — the biggest difference is intention. If your intention is to get money to cop brand name shoes or a handbag, because you've been unconsciously programmed to believe by commercial & social influence that this thing will make you happy, be cool amongst your peers or to flex on social media — the end result will come with a costly price tag which is usually not payable by cash. Chase passions & dreams, honor & love yourself & others, we're all creators & manifestors — there’s no need to chase manufactured & manipulated items sold by certain groups & corps. 💯

I thought I’d never be able to get the money saved to buy a house AND pay my bills in the same month. Then I started Women CEO-while still a real estate broker-and building a new business. I was now creeping up on 30-never having owned a home, and about to liquidate my entire savings to help my family in an emergency. Then-before I turned 30 ( 4 days before ) I bought my first home with 30% down. Then before 35-I bought/built my second home cash.... some things had to really change. My mindset changed. My capacity to be told no and for failure changed. I started to monetize all of my ideas, creativity and hard won lessons. I asked for the money I wanted and thought I deserved without wondering if I was good enough to receive it. I waited on what felt right instead of what everyone thought was the right path for me. Right quick:
Yes I’m fearful almost daily
Yes-I cry-my lash lady always knows when I’ve had a bad week.
Yes I’m overwhelmed-I take breaks-regroup and hit it again.
Yes sometimes I wonder if I’m going the right way.
And yes-I move forward with as much courage as I can muster up everyday..... and you can too. Don’t look at my success only-look at the very long road I’ve taken to get there... #ButGod

So much of the "food" in our society is so far removed from its original form, the ingredients unrecognizable. You vote with your money what kind of food our nation grows and produces every time you go to the grocery store. Not only is whole food better for our nation, it's is WAY better for our health. Something else I've been really trying to be conscious of is how much waste we produce. Here in Missouri, it is extremely hard to recycle ♻️. Not only that, but it is hard to find vegetables and fruits loose in the grocery store. Almost all of the fresh produce comes in plastic bags. I've used reusable grocery bags for years. There's been multiple times that I have gotten huge push back at the cash registers for using my own bags. I feel like a real hippie folks! ✌🏻I've started buying fresh at some other grocery stores that are a little farther away, but have more organic and loose produce. As always, locally grown is best! A way I've started reducing waste in my own home is making a veggie broth from any left over peels, ends, stalks, things I would normally compost. Not only had it added HUGE nutrition to other dishes that I make with it, I feel like I'm using all the plant matter that I buy. I still compost the veggies after making my broth. Although we still produce some trash, we've really reduced it, just by being conscious, and intentional about the way that we shop, where, and what we buy. #reducereuserecycle #reducedwaste #zerowaste ? #wholefood #localfood #plasticfree #garden #growyourownfood #local #nofarmsnofood #green #compost #wholefoodliving #plantbased

THIS IS NOT A POST ABOUT DEBT: Earlier today, I was talking to my accountant about finishing up my taxes & about my finances in general. ✨ For the FIRST TIME in my life I’ve been saving money, putting it away consistently to build up my emergency fund & then some.
-
But what was looming in the background? 😬$15,000 in credit card debt that I accrued when I was first starting my event planning company.
-
When I would buy things for the events I was executing, I would pay for things on my credit card so when the clients reimbursed me, that it would be cash flow. Ya can’t pay NYC rent on a credit card FYI 🤷🏼‍♀️
-
It was actually a good strategy at the time, because I didn’t have any sense of when my next paycheck would come...ahhh the life of being a new entrepreneur.
-
So, why the hell am I still hanging onto the debt (2 years later btw), when I could just pay it off easily with my savings? I had to ask myself that today & I didn’t like what stared back at me.
-
Typically I would describe myself as super confident in my work, in my future, in investing in myself...but there was a piece (that $15,000) that I couldn’t be brave about.
-
What if I end up needing that money in $$? What if I never get another project? What if things get slow financially? WHAT IF...?
-
We don’t realize that we hold on to certain little things in our lives to grant us a sense of security, a sense of cushion, a plan B. Proverbial life rafts.
-
For me, it was the credit card debt. For you, it might be a luke warm relationship, a toxic friendship, putting off a life change, staying in a city...etc. Our individual life rafts look different.
-
What clicked for me today is that I am the only life raft I need. These things we keep are small confirmations of a disbelief in ourselves. THIS POST ISN’T ABOUT MONEY OR DEBT, it’s about our universal internal struggle to believe fully in ourselves when we let go of this things that make us feel safe.
-
So with a few clicks on my phone, I paid it off.
ALL OF IT.
No more debt but for all of us...
NO MORE DOUBT.
-
What life raft do you need to let go of today? #bebetter #lifelessons
-
Thanks @benjaminsargent for talking me through accounting/emotions ;)

A Split In Time
Because we were favoured with our clients, one of the things we used to do - and our clients trusted us - was to supply generic chemicals to them,  chemicals you could buy in the market. We were able to track the importers of those chemicals, so we could buy directly and avoid adulteration and stuff like that. We had suffered a couple of issues when we bought from third parties.
So when all this cash crunch began, I met the importers and told them that since we’d been working together for a while, we wanted them to let us buy on credit. That particular day, I happened to meet the owner of the business - Dr. Orji of Octopol Nigeria Ltd. He was very willing to give us 50% credit - that meant that for every purchase, I only had to pay  50%. Now after I met with him, something very interesting happened. His office was in Ilupeju, and as I was almost getting to my office at Agidingbi, he called me and told me that I didn’t have to use the 50% credit anymore, but rather, I could take the goods any time I wanted, and moreso, at a discount!

So when the issue about getting a financier cropped up, I went to meet him and laid everything before him. He told me, there was no problem and that he would take over the business. I went to meet my partner - all this while, he’d never been involved. He never interfered. At the end of the year, the auditors would come, we’d agree on what to do with the profit, I pay, and we continue.

I told him the situation and our need to inject money into the business. Since we both didn’t have the financial capacity, this was the way to go, but the risk was that there was no guarantee that they wouldn’t take us over, because we would have to sign them on with Seindeo. We would have to step back, and they would have to come in. This was the only thing I knew to do, so I had no choice, but he had. So I gave him the option to opt out, and he took it. We valued the business, split it into two and he accepted to be paid over time. I was now left to face the new investors. .

Sorry to break it to you.
It's almost impossible to save your way to millionaire status.
1. You need to live below your means and invest. Even though I could comfortably afford it, I didn't buy my first luxury watch or car until I was already a millionaire and had multiple sources of income. It's not "fun" to live below your means, but it's absolutely necessary if you want to become wealthy.
2. You know who lives behind the big gates in the most expensive neighborhoods of your city? Business owners & entrepreneurs who didn't give up on their dreams. Unfortunately it's not the employees. Start a business. Even if it's a side business. Push yourself... It's the only way.
3. You need to save to invest. Don't save just to save. The only reason you should save money is to put it to work for you (slowly creating additional sources of income). There are still many times that I feel broke, because my money is committed to different businesses and projects (ultimately making me more money). I am NOT rich from my paychecks, but from my BUSINESS & INVESTMENTS. This is true for almost all wealthy people.
4. Avoid debt that doesn't pay you. Rich people use debt to leverage investments (like debt to buy real estate or to arbitrage investments) in order to grow your cash flow. Poor people use debt to buy things that they generally can live without.
5. Being poor doesn't make any sense. Being poor sucks. Having just enough to get by sucks almost just as bad. Eliminate any thoughts that being poor is ok. Or that being rich is out of reach. That's just bullshit you feed yourself to make you feel better about yourself.
6. Get a real life #mentor. I try to share what I can, but having a mentor that you know is the best #motivation and #knowledge you can ever have. Study them. Copy them. Most millionaires have developed some very common personality traits in order to be successful. Learn them. Get a mentor. Almost all of the millionaires I know are very generous with their knowledge and try help others achieve success.
Hope these tips help you!
I am extremely humbled that you guys take the time to read my posts.

Guys, we bought an office building! 😱 One of the whys we had for moving our business to Austin was that we could finally afford to buy our HQ. After 14 years of being an entrepreneur and leasing an office at exorbitant LA prices for most of that time— we finally own our location!! Here are the details 1. We finalized the deal on a Thursday and started demo less than a week later. The before and after is going to be EPIC 2. The only way we could afford our dream office was to buy a nightmare and turn it into a dream. This bad boy had water damage, a crazy funky layout and flea infestation. Huzzah! 3. We paid cash. I feel like it’s important to talk about prudent business practices since I often wonder how other entrepreneurs go about things. We didn’t want to buy something until we could afford it outright and that meant saving up until we wouldn’t need a loan to make it happen. I like to believe that @daveramsey + @rachelcruze would high five us for this choice. 4. I have always —ALWAYS— dreamed of a workspace with exposed beams so I’ve got to shoutout the demo guys who backed up my belief that we should tear open the popcorn ceiling. Dave was positive it was a bad idea. When we went by today after church to see it I very, nearly wept because it looks so awesome! 5. It WILL have a mural. When I wrote down my vision for my office years ago it included the idea of a mural out front because I love few things so much as an Instagrammable wall. I fully expect the tribe to add it to your list of “things to do” when you’re in ATX. 6. When will it be done? No earthly clue, but you can bet I’ll be documenting the process throughout. Swipe right to see 👉🏻 what it looked like before we ripped it apart. Follow @theholliscompany to see daily updates on our journey. #TheHollisCompany #AustinEntrepreneur #AustinBusiness

looking your best for cheap

👑 ignore trends. they’re always changing. make your own unique style.
🧖🏻‍♀️ only wear what looks good on you. even if it’s what YOU think looks good. wear what makes you feel good.
🌸 go thrifting!
🌟 buy the basics, so you can easily mix an match – dark wash jeans, white tee, black leggings, etc.
👠 use men’s shaving cream (usually cheaper) or conditioner.
🛍 don’t always buy high-end/name-brand things. for example, target’s brand of the acne grapefruit body wash (which i personally love and use) is way cheaper than neutrogena’s version (target’s brand is also cruelty free).
💍 shop for off-season clothing and look for sales. use coupons and use cash back sites/apps.
💝 be a guinea pig. from blowouts and haircuts to massages and facials, you can find a less expensive option by participating in demonstrations, workshops or classes at a beauty school. all sessions are supervised by a pro too.
💌 look for versatility. don’t buy something if you’ll only wear it once.
🥂 don’t go for the super expensive jeans.
👄 go to a discount chain for trendy shoes.
💎 have a black or brown purse.
🌹 neutral shades are key.
🦄 look online (or on my account) for easy-at-home remedies and diys.
🍾 skip the spa. do your own nails at home. cut your split ends at home too.
🕯 look for makeup products that can be used for multiple things. ex: a blush and lip tint, like milk makeup’s lip and cheek.
🎀 upcycle your clothes. add some rips, rhinestones, patches, etc.
🍷 shop cheaper sites like romwe, wish, zaful, etc. just read reviews and keep in mind you might have to size up.

cc: internet + myself
hashtags: #fobdiyselflove
qotp: what makes you look your best?
aotp: lip gloss or my favorite lipstick color (a taupey rose), highlighter, just makeup in general tbh, clear skin, non-greasy hair lmao, and a cute outfit

You need to believe that your idea can make people's lives better. .
.
.

It is belief in yourself & the business that will move you to start even when conditions are not ideal...
.
.
.

Belief will propel you to get trained & do research...
.
.
.

Belief will motivate you to make a sale & is even one of the reasons why people will buy from you.
. .
.
.

While it may be true you need funding from other people, ask yourself if you have really given your all towards that business. .
.
.
.

True you have tried your best, but by whose standard?
.
.
.

Keep this in mind - just when you think you have done 'EVERYTHING' to make that venture work, know that YOU ACTUALLY HAVEN'T; there are still options for you to explore.
.
.
.
.

Like I always say, people only bring 'house warming' gifts to the person that has actually built a house. .
.
.

People only give money to those who have money already.
.
.
.

Now it's not necessarily about having physical cash or money in your bank account, it's about the feeling of being rich. .
.
.
.

A feeling that comes from a strong belief in your idea, your ability to figure things out and your desire to serve with excellence and add value to people.
.
.
.
.

Hold your head high because you are person to be envied and not be pitied. You are a lender to Nations and not a charity project.
.
.
.
.

Keep believing. Keep working. Keep serving.
.
.

Your greatness is very sure. .

I’ll never forget the day I woke up & realized I could actually make a part-time income from blogging.
.
I had been dabbling in blogging & affiliate marketing & online entrepreneurialism for two years & was making a small amount of money from it. But it definitely wasn’t enough to put a roof over our heads or buy our groceries for the month.
.
But then, after months of research, effort, & work. After trying & failing & fighting so much discouragement, something clicked… & I made over $3,000 in one week as a result of blogging.
.
I was shocked, overwhelmed, & humbled! And I realized that maybe this blogging thing really could be a viable income source for our family.
.
Fast forward another year & we were making a full-time income from blogging — yes, enough to pay our rent, buy our groceries, pay our other expenses, & put a little bit into savings.
.
It felt so surreal! But it didn’t stop there!
.
Now, 13+ years of blogging later, blogging has not only allowed my husband to leave his stressful job & come home full-time, but it’s allowed us to pay cash for our house, travel internationally, & give generously to needs in our community & around the world.
.
I’m so passionate about blogging because I’ve seen how much it has blessed & benefited our family. I want to help others share their voice with the world & find financial freedom for their family through blogging.

There are 3 huge and amazing reasons that joining my team is one of the best things you can do!! #1 we are the ONLY company that sells the wraps, and the wraps are NOT sold in stores! A lot of companies like this that sell candles or mascara have tons of competition at Walmart, other stores, and even other companies, but we have no competition!! And because we are the only ones with the wraps, that means people will come to YOU to buy them!!! #2 because this is a home based business, our company pays for absolutely NO advertising! It's our job to advertise for them, so instead of paying millions to advertise, they pay us the millions!!! #3 (my favorite reason) look at Avon and Mary Kay for a minute. Avon has over 6.4 MILLION distributors, and Mary Kay has around 4 MILLION! That is A LOT of people!!! Now let's look at It Works! We only have 100,000 distributors who get paid... So what does that mean? Well, I want you to imagine where the first 100,000 distributors for Avon and Mary Kay are today. They are set for life!!! And WE have that same opportunity because our company still is so small! Only 3 out of 10 people have even heard about the wraps!! There is a TON of money to be made and I would LOVE to help you make it! 💲There's 3 ways that we get paid!💲 1. Wrap cash! This is basically any cash that you make from selling the products you have on hand at retail price. When people try a wrap for $25, that's cash right in your pocket. You can make wrap cash every day!

Sometimes my son and I will go to dinner and I'll end up selling more wraps than what we spent at dinner, so they pay for dinner and things which is nice!

2. Fast Start Bonuses! A fast start bonus is when you sign up a distributor and help them get 2 loyal customers in their first 30 days, you get a $100 bonus! They pay these every Friday! If you signed up 3 distributors and they all got their 2 customers, you would earn $300 in fast start bonuses!! 3. You will make different commissions (2-15%) on all of your customers' orders, distributors' orders and all their customers' orders and so forth! They pay commissions every month on the 15th! 🗣 ANYONE CAN JOIN FOR LIMITED TIME FOR ONLY

According to Wikipedia This is the garage of the Second Nigerian Senate President Prince Nweke Nwafor from 1960 to 1966. I vividly Recall the story of a man who became popular for engaging in money rituals just to buy the 80's edition of the Honda Prelude. You wouldn't buy that car for 50k today. Some other guy brutally murdered his brother ( whom their father gave cash 2 travel 4 the purpose of re- stocking their warehouse), just cos he wanted to acquire the rave of the moment - Pathfinder Jeep. That same vehicle is now better described as a coffin.
I Remember as a kid, my whole street gathered to watch a truck deliver a very large satellite dish to my neighbour's house. Today a dish one tenth that size delivers 5 times the value and is in almost every student's room.
What about the Volkswagen Santana, Mercedes Benz V boot, 505Evolution, Toyota Crown, all overtaken by latest models of Camry, Honda, Bugatti, Bentley, X6, Acura and Infinity... Vanity! Some ladies left their true loves cos some rich guy then persuaded them with a Benz 190, which turned out to be the only car they ever owned till date. They found out too late that true love is invaluable.
A friend declared drinks because he launched the Nokia Communicator for over hundred grand in 2002. Today that phone would embarrass the owner and is a joke compared to the low cost and everyday phones. What about the MTN SIM card that many people went extra miles before they bought for over 30k, today you will not buy it at N100 because all networks are begging people to even take it for free.
People are still making the most horrific sacrifices over 'vanity' and make enemies over worthless material things. What can I say? Look back at that one thing you want to kill or die for today and see what becomes of it tomorrow. There is absolutely nothing you can't achieve. All you need is a little time and PATIENCE and you would thank God without regrets. There is actually nothing in this world that is worth dying for, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!

I woke up regretful that I didnt just stay home and be productive, as I knew I would, but the idea of drinking beers with one my degenerate best friends was so overwhelming I couldn’t resist. I woke up this morning thirsty as fuck, but there was literally no cups or even a bowl in his apartment to get a drink of unfiltered tap water cause I surely wasn’t gonna drink the Coronas in the fridge 1st thing in the morning which was the only liquid other then tap water so I put my face under the faucet and got the fuck up outta there, hopped in my Dads mini van and drove back like a 110mph this time cause I had 14% battery left on my phone and had to get home before my GPS died and I ended up driving to Pittsburgh or some shit. Before I got home, I stopped by the supermarket and picked up some Wild Caught Sockeye Salmon, fresh pineapple and 2 Lobsters with my EBT card so I could make breakfast. What did ya’ll think I always paid cash for these gourmet meals I make? What are you fucking crazy!? 😂 How would you expect me to buy my big boy toys like the 24” Wacom Cintiq or my 2 ASUS Computers or my custom million dollar Wasted Talent TOG knives from Seki, Japan or the $1000’s of dollars worth of Wasted Talent merch or allllllll the art supplies I get if I bought these meals with cash? I mean I only paid $18 for this shit and I don’t even like Lobster like that, but if I had a real 9 to 5 though and worked like a real winner, I’d have no real time to myself and be too lazy too cook anything anyway, so I would have to resort to gourmet meals from Wendys or Taco Bell cause thats what real winners do, just eat grade E beef and things fried in lard, ya know? But I’m a loser who lives with my mom still who happens to have a developed palate for decadence and class, so I just made breakfast, one of my favorite dishes... Teriyaki Wild Caught Sockeye Salmon with the skin on, White Rice, Grilled Pineapple, Scallions and Cilantro and 2 Lobsters just because. What can I say? I’m ballin’ on budget. In real life, I aint shit, but it looks cool on the internet, don’t it? 😎🤷🏻‍♂️

I met this really inspiring guy in my building last year and he works for resident services. One time, this creepy dude tried to get at me and he escorted him out of my sight. We got to know each other through a few conversations on gratitude while I did my morning cardio and his story really touched me.
-
I found out that he was homeless a few years ago and was showering at gyms - where he lives now doesn’t even have a shower. What impresses me is that he bikes to work everyday and it’s two hours of pedalling each way from his city to LA but today, someone stole his bike so he ran to work according to his colleague.
-
My friend Anthony and I both live in the same building and have always appreciated how kind he treats the residents here. How does one rob someone who works so hard and always has a smile on their face? Bad things happen to good people all the time and it’s ok, because love always conquers evil!
-
So, I finally get home and it’s 3:50PM. I check-in with him at the concierge to see what time he was done his shift which was at 4PM so we had 10 minutes to run across the street to buy him a thank you card, write a few words in it and fill up the Visa gift card for his new bike Anthony and I wanted to gift him. I jet to CVS and get stopped by a salesman on the street, then in the store, I’m delayed by transaction declines and long lines. My heart was racing so fast that I could barely speak back to the cashier because the processor wouldn’t allow my cards to pay, they only accept cash for large amounts. Luckily, I had cash in the house so I ran back to my place, stuffed the envelope and caught him just before he left for class. Normally, I don’t mention these kinds of things because it’s nobody’s business but we’re just glad he got some good karma for the good vibes he always delivers to everyone on the daily.
-
It’s people who have the least but most to give that inspire real gratitude in my days. Tell me or yourself 3 things you’re grateful for today and hopefully you’re able to remind yourself everyday of how FUCKING GREAT you have it! Happiness is 100% perspective. It’s what you see and believe you got even if it’s not visible to anyone else.

It’s about more than whether you do or don’t buy “stuff”, but one of the first ways to let go of a cultural addiction to the consumer machine is to understand what’s enough and buy enough.
Easier said than done, right?
Here’s what I’ve learned about how to avoid piling up too much stuff and how to stop making unnecessary purchases: 1 Go On a Media Diet: You aren’t born with consumerism hard-wired in your brain. We are constantly receiving messages about the need to “be what you own” from TV, radio, the internet and of course your mobile phone! Cancel your email subscriptions from zara, net-a-porter etc. You’ll save a lot more by remaining ignorant of all those seemingly amazing bargains.
2 Don’t Jump On the Sale Band Wagon and Buy What You Need Right Now: Before making a purchase, ask yourself if you’ll be using the item in the very near future. If the answer is no or not likely, pass.
3 Play The Waiting Game: When you’re tempted to buy something, wait at least 20 minutes.
4 Have a Budget: Install a budget app on your phone so that you’re accountable to yourself at every moment for what you do and don’t spend.
5 Learn Need vs. Want: Learning to distinguish between what you need and what you want is one of the most important parts of learning to embrace buying less “stuff.” Start buying only what you need and then finding a happy middle ground between need and want as you get used to saying no to things just because you want them.
6 Buy Good Quality: Instead of buying the cheapest version of something and then buying ten other things that you don’t need, save up cash to buy the premium version of something and forego the other stuff. You’ll enjoy more luxury and also find that your “stuff” lasts longer.
7 Count Your Blessings. Be grateful—not just for possessions, but also for the people, places and simple pleasures in life. When you’re feeling full of gratitude, you’re less likely to purchase unnecessary stuff.

Hey ya'll 👋🏼 okay so a question I get asked ALOT is how I'm able to travel so much. My answer is always that I work hard and save my money. While this is true, I thought I'd give yall one little insight on how I save money and that is smart shopping! I am a sucker for things on sale and out of everything in this picture nothing was over $5, which made my total $40 and some change. When I grocery shop I make a list of what I'm going to eat for that week and a budget (I usually never go over $50, unless I'm feeling fancy) and I calculate everything as I buy it. I also find a store with great value, this week I chose #heb. I know it sounds time consuming but really it isn't, especially if the end goal is to travel. Another thing is I try my hardest to buy healthy because I swear everything that isn't healthy (chips, ice cream, etc. is expensive and will add up quick!). In this picture I have enough food to feed myself for an entire week (breakfast, snack, lunch, dinner and dessert) for only $40! That legit is about $3 dollars a meal and if that sound expensive, take a minute to look at my menu for the week:
Breakfast: 🔸️Green smoothie
🔸️Avocado toast 🔸️Coconut yogurt w/ Strawberries
Lunch: 🔸️Salad w/ Shredded Chicken 🔸️mango slices
Snack: 🔸️white bean pine nut hummus dip 🔸️pretzels
Dinner: 🔸️ Garlic chicken 🔸️ cauliflower mash potatoes 🔸️ zucchini 🔸️asparagus
Dessert: (cant live without) 🔸️fudge bar (70 cal, 3 grams sugar)
I have a few jobs but one thing that I always tell people looking for quick cash is to try #ubereats. It's not my favorite job to do but I can pay for all these groceries in about 3 hours by just picking up food and bringing it to people. When you're done with your ride they even let you cash out in that moment.
Anyways, just wanted to give ya'll a tip that has helped me save money and still get to eat well! Let me know if this was helpful or not lol 😋 or if you have any other questions!
