Back in @bendunnegyms today after being away for over 3 weeks. Myself and Stephen did work out on honeymoon and I took a few Pilates and yoga class too. We actually ate pretty well away but since we arrived back the post holiday blues took over and I have been raiding Tescos sweet ailse every evening 🙈😳 so no better day to start fresh than today.
Protein pot for breakfast, tuna salad for lunch and nice big steak with stir fried vegetables and a handful of noodles thrown in for dinner. And of course a pre workout fulfil bar 🤗
So felt great to be back in the zone today. Feeling better already.

Eating clean sure isn't easy. Today is my full day of low carbs and I'm not going to lie... I still crave my high sugar, carb meals. It's because my body/mind are going through a detox ... it isn't all rainbow and butterflies, it isn't easy when you start your new diet/lifestyle change. But I know it gets better because I already when through that in 2004. After my pregnancy I dropped the ball and it's taken 10 months for me to get to my former self. Sooo I just need to stick with it and fight temptations, I know I can do it but I need to be mentally strong. That is why I already made my meals for tomorrow too! So I don't run to what's the easiest and greasiest foods.

I exercised the whole week everyday and stuck to a calorie-restricted diet of veggies and lean meat, so it was a welcome treat. Today was a nice Sunday with makeup shopping and an Italian lunch, then I headed straight to the gym for cardio! Already starting the week strong! From changing her diet to working out she was able to lose a total of 338lbs all naturally!💪🏼 She began working out by slowly walking in a pool and then pushing herself to swim, once she lost a decent amount of weight Tina started going to the gym, focusing on cardio and strength training. I know it can seem simple to some, but there’s so many things we do daily that we don’t even realise we do 🙊

Many girls who I have worked with just didn’t realise that they would eat 3-4 biscuits (sometimes a pack 😜) before dinner was ready.
.
They did this everyday after work without any thought or without really being hungry. It was a habit they had created over time. But by them simply becoming more aware of what they ate, they would keep biscuits for when they actually wanted them. This saved up to 900 calories a week. Which is enough to start making a difference 🙌(2 chocolate digestives x 5 days = 900).
.
Or many of us driving everywhere. But could you cycle to work? Could you walk to a further away bus stop rather than wait or parking further away? could you take the stairs more?
.
Other simple things:
.
-Walking the dog for longer than 15 mins.
-Take the kids out to the park after work.
-Plan a walk somewhere different on your day off.
-Drink a bottle of water when you feel hungry. Recognise the difference between dehydration and hunger.
-if you are sitting down all day at work and commuting…?Go for a walk on your lunch break.
-Struggling to avoid the office snacks, eat your own lunch first then decide if you are actually hungry and want a snack or just having it because it’s there. .
Simple things can add up to big results. Find out what you do daily and make a commitment to change one thing this week 💪🏽😊.

I’ve been struggling lately...struggling to stay motivated. I think part of it is that I’ve been uninspired, bored & annoyed with the fitness industry lately, so I’ve just avoided it altogether.
For over a year, I’ve been trying to find that good balance between living freely and experiencing LIFE, and taking care of my mental and physical health at the same time. After competing, it has been really freakin’ hard to get back to “normalcy”...like understanding balance and knowing that I don’t have to go FULL THROTTLE to reach my goals of feeling good in my body. That I don’t have to miss out on a dinner date to go to the gym, or starve myself just to have enough macros left for a steak & potatoes. Struggling to see that my body that is more than awesome, esp compared to where I started in my journey years ago. Struggling to actually stick to a plan when I don’t have a “goal” like a show to get ready for. IMO, improvement seasons sometimes feel 100x harder than prep itself bc 1) you (talking to myself here) develop a distorted image of what a healthy body is supposed to look like 2) you don’t have a deadline to meet, or a strict regimen to follow , so it’s harder to stick to a routine 3) you use this season off as an excuse to just eat like an a-hole and skip the gym & then it turns into a viscous cycle & you end up feeling like poo💩 and get down on yourself & then feel even less motivated to do anything to get out of the funk. Shew 😅 the struggle is real, y’all.

But I’m not a quitter. I refuse to let anything keep me down forever and I know that I just gotta take that first, small step to get back into my groove and my happy place again and know that I can still enjoy life and pizza 🍕 and drinks🍷and late nights and still be healthy & feel good in my body. 120g salad mix
80g marinated feta
2 cups roast pumpkin roasted in olive oil (or 1/2 butternut pumpkin)
2 baby beetroot
1/4 red onion
2 tbs pumpkin seeds
30ml balsamic vinegar
338 calories approx per serve .
✅ EXERCISE. So today I got up super early for the first time ever and went to the gym. For some reason I woke up at 4.30am (alarm was set for 5.30) So I got my butt up and went, it did take me a while to get into it properly but all in all I think I did a pretty good fasted cardio session. I did end up feeling pretty tired throughout the day, but went to boxing again in the evening. .
✅ FOOD - I went really well today. Breakfast was a smoothie bowl.
Snacks - carrot sticks and garlic hommus + coffee
Lunch - this salad (pictured)
Arvo snack - coffee + protein ball
Snack pre gym - 3 grain rice crackers with a slice of cheese.
Dinner - salmon, salad and sweet potato chips. .
💧WATER intake probably wasn’t great. I had about 1 litre. .

Also thanks everyone for your kind and motivating messages just about exercise and getting up early, training times ect ❤️I really appreciate it and love hearing what works for others, plus I’m surprised how many people get up before 5am... Not sure I’m converted to a morning person yet, maybe after a few more sessions 😉. .

I live quite a hectic life as a single parent of 3 and with an abundance of responsibilities. If it weren't for my lifestyle change I would not have been able to cope with the energy my job and three children entail. It feels great to be able to finally do activities with them without being physically impaired as I was in my 20s weighing close to 300 lbs. I'm in the best shape of my life but every day I continue to work on myself. 💪🏼
I have lost a total of 120 lbs in 4 years! In January of 2014, I decided I would stick to eating healthy and exercising for 21 days until my birthday. To my surprise, I was able to lose 10 lbs. After that, I continued to improve my diet and workout but still was not consistent enough, but came back with a vengeance and lost 85 more pounds. Finally, in 2016 I decided to add weights to my workouts as supposed to just cardio and was able to get the 120 lbs lost.
I used to make excuses not to make it to the gym, but then I decided to love myself and put effort into my health. I love Zumba💃🏻 as a warm-up followed by weight training. Adding weights to my routine has made it possible to tone and lose excess skin, while my metabolism and overall performance increased.🏋🏻‍♀️ I also use my fitness pal to keep track of my calories and fat intake which is extremely easy and beneficial to stay on track for the day.
Here is what my meals would look like for a low carb day:
#Breakfast: 2 egg whites with bell pepper
#Snack: Protein shake with strawberries
#Lunch: 4 oz grilled chicken with asparagus
#Snack: 1/3 cup oatmeal
#Dinner: 3 oz of protein (chicken, lean beef or salmon) 2 cups of steamed broccoli or cauliflower
Seeing the pounds come off on the scale was initially what drove me and kept me motivated but as my journey proceeded it was being able to understand my own body and paying attention to how my clothes would fit. Fast-forward 12 years to me in the same pose, two kids later, no makeup, no styling. I don’t think I’ll ever look the way I did in 2006—and that’s okay. But I do want to get healthier.

I’m tired of resorting to yoga pants because they stretch. I’m tired of strategizing every outfit around how to camouflage my kangaroo-like stomach. And, really, I’m tired of dreading going to the doctor because I don’t want to find out about my cholesterol. So this is a new era of me trying to stay active.

At first, it was hard. I’m the type of person who maps out routes to the nearest couch. I live to sit. I have panic disorder, too, which doesn’t help. Why would I voluntarily subject myself to activities that speed up my heart and make me short of breath? So I’ve been realistic: a yoga class here; a walk around the block there; stashing my car at the back of the parking lot at Target instead of circling like a suburban predator until I find the closest one to the door.

I don’t have grand goals. I’m never going to be a CrossFit maven or the swan of Pilates. I just want to challenge myself to walk instead of drive; go to yoga instead of go out to dinner; stretch instead of sit like a sedentary teabag on the couch after work. I know I’m not considered ‘obese’ by definition. But I also know I’m not getting any younger: I turn 40 next year. It’s time.

I’m sharing my story for other non-athletes out there who exist somewhere in the middle—no ambitious weight loss goals or dreams of athletic feats. Who just want to walk more, move more, and feel better. So to anyone who was a gym class exile, or who suffers from panic and might be afraid to work out, or who just wants to graduate from yoga pants into something with a button and a zipper, I hope you’ll follow along on my journey. Upon hearing that, my friend was like "Nope, LET'S GO, we're going with you." Found me a road that circled us back to the house and was nearly the perfect distance to get my 2 miles in. Now I only have 3 runs left to go! So grateful to have such an awesome support system. 🤘🤘

The year I decided to make time for myself to workout and be the best version of myself that I needed to be all whilst enjoying a few drinks and a dance on the weekends, dinner dates and going out. the year I accepted that I love my body, I’m strong and healthy and enjoy the perfect balance between looking after myself but also having fun. The year that I’m not as lean as I used to be nor do I have as much muscle mass as I have had in the previous years but I’m perfectly happy with that. Previously you would have never of seen me with a drink in hand or eating take away, I never touched junk food or even ate my own birthday cake. Yes I was extremely healthy and I was in great shape but was I mentally happy? No way, I went to bed every night thinking about how unhappy I was, I suffered sever anxiety to the point I ended up calling an ambulance 4 times in 2 years because I thought I was having a heart attack. There were definitely other factors in my life that contributed to my unhappiness but the biggest thing for me was not having fun and just enjoying my days and my life. I still make the time to work out nearly every day but most importantly I make time to be happy, to make memories with the people that matter the most to me. And I always find the time even with 4 daughters and a busy household to give myself an hour a day and unwind in the gym, it helps me mentally but it also makes me happy for the right reasons. .

I know I have, but not for YEARS. I was very bothered the other day because I watched someone’s story (who I unfollowed and who will remain anonymous), and they were showing everything they were eating, talking about the 10 lbs or so of weight that they had gained since last Saturday. SATURDAY. 10lbs in less than 7 days, that’s crazy y’all.
Why do people binge? What I’ve found and from personal experience, is that some of these people are on such restrictive diets that they have that huge urge to binge. I’ve been there. I’ve been on stupid restrictive diets before joining @fitbodyfusion and I’ve binged until I felt sick and it’s an awful feeling.
After Portland, I did go out to dinner after the show, kept it relatively clean, and then had a cheat on Sunday. My weight is up 2 lbs - most likely from my cheat lol, but I got right back on track on Monday and I did not binge. I jump right back on track regardless if I’m prepping for another show or not.
Binging is not worth screwing with your health, because it ultimately does, and it jacks up all your hard work. Your body can only handle so much food at one time, and when you suddenly consume a huge surplus at once, it takes the surplus and stores it as fat. So if you’re someone who thinks it’s funny to show how you binge, what kind of example are you setting? A shitty one.

Around about 11pm I take the elevator down to the first floor and make my way over to the gym. On my way over there I had already put my earbuds in but without turning on my music. As I’m walking to the gym door there is a couple walking toward me(obviously had been drinking) going the other way. As I pass them I hear the guy say to his girlfriend “really he’s going to workout at this hour?!? It can’t be that important. *drunk burp*” I simply give the guy a quick look as I reach the door and give them a smile before walking inside. I just find it funny/saddening that some RANDOM GUY I’ve NEVER MET felt the need to make a comment based off the fact that I was committed enough to hold myself to a certain standard when it comes to fitness. It’s people like that who make it so hard for other people to get invested in the gym and wanna better themselves.... honestly how can you rip on anyone just for trying to better themselves? So to anyone trying to get into fitness just know you’ll never get the results you didn’t work for! So always push yourself to be better and strive for success in whatever you do! Feeling really discouraged, since Saturday I’ve been having random breaths that feel heavy and hard to take almost like I have an elephant on my chest as I try to breath, didn’t want to jump to conclusions and rack up a large medical bill over something that’s going to pass, so Saturday I tried to take it easy. Even checked my blood pressure multiple times and it couldn’t be more normal, 120/81, nearly all Saturday! So Sunday I wake up and didn’t have any hard breathing problems at all so I figured it was time to head to the gym around 11am, but I’ll keep my cardio nice and light... well 10 mins into my “light cardio” my heavy and hard to take breaths became frequent so I immediately stopped and sat in the sauna for 10 mins before I headed home. Had no issues when I got home for maybe 3-4 hours so I didn’t Pursue urgent care, but after 3 hours of meal prepping for the week and cooking dinner and laundry it started to happen again. Decided with even one instance tomorrow I’ll definitely go to urgent care on my lunch break, wasn’t going to post this, but as I lay here in bed at 11 pm my heart rate has been about 80 bpm which means it’s beating so fast I can’t sleep, so I checked my blood pressure yet again and it’s a bit higher then it was all weekend at a 124/88. He indulged in a little wasabi however after we researched, we learned that "in its completely natural form, yes wasabi is Paleo, but most of those chunks of green stuff at sushi restaurants are not wasabi at all. Pic on left: Jan 2015 (110 pounds) and just starting out my “fitness journey” in terms of competing and “dieting” I have always been naturally small, but I’ve also always been very active. I would do yoga pretty much every day, and eat really whatever I felt like. This often meant eating 2x per day and going out to eat most nights for dinner

Pic on right: September 2017 (118 pounds) after 2.5 years of being very strict with my diet and training. Lifting 6 days per week, doing cardio 7 days per week, eating 6 meals per day. This meant cooking all my meals and not really having much of a social life outside of the gym
.
So which Physique do I prefer? Honestly, I love both! Both physiques represent my goals and lifestyle choices at that time in my life. On the left i was light and flexible and able to do lots of handstands and really fun yoga poses, on the right I was strong and able to leg press some crazy heavy weight! On the left I never worried about what I ate or how much cardio I did, on the right i was very strict about my fitness regiment and knew exactly how much cardio needed to be done each day. I honestly “felt” healthy with both of these bodies. So it’s hard for me to say I prefer one over the other. There will always be room for improvement, people will always have their own opinions on how you should look, but in the end what really matters is how you FEEL. Love yourself no matter what. What you end up with is an awesome group of people. Yesterday I had a delicious steak dinner with clients and friends @mirjamvdmark, hubby Martijn and @alex_the_senese.

Today lunch courtesy of @cyn_thiaaa_ gave me some energy while running on empty. @misterjeep took some pictures after his session for his photography course of Ben, who repped his previous 1RM squat for 8 singles. 💪

@nicst77 allowed me to train with her and we pushed each other resulting in a really good and fun session even though I was running on fumes. Thanks guys (will post a bunch of stuff including clips of other peeps in stories tonight)! Love it, live it. #strengthcommunity

So if you're in a hurry, or have a sweet tooth, these are quick and easy to make and you can honestly throw in whatever ingredients you prefer.

It has been almost three years since I started to be obsessed with going to the gym. Nothing was more important than my workout after school and having a suitable portion of chicken and rice for dinner. I started to prioritize exercising over everything. I refused to go out with my friends because I would miss my training.
I didn’t want to plan any trip that would be longer than 2 days - simply because I wouldn’t survive two days without the gym, I would get fat😀 When we went for a lunch with my family, I usually had a chicken and rice again because I didn’t want to risk my calories intake. Since I have been studying in Newcastle, I suddenly realized that life is about something more than chasing your kind of perfection. If you stay in your comfort zone and don’t change your habits, you will lose so many opportunities. I love fitness so much, it’s my type of relaxation, so I am not saying that I stopped with my workouts, I literally started to train even harder😁. But I realized that I should start taking care not only of my body but of my mental health too. The way how you talk to yourself, how you think about yourself, how you tackle your problems and how you treat yourself is more important than anything else. Strong and determined mind is a necessity for experiencing valued life. And to be honest, when you are far away from your home, living in a different culture without your friends and family, you really need to be that person who is confident enough and who is not afraid of overcoming every days’ obstacles.
So at the end, I will just say that I am trying not to be limited anymore, enjoy every single day, explore new things, work on myself in different ways and mainly love myself ❤️

Small steps in the right direction and the next one is to get back on my spin bike which is staring at me from the bottom of my bed every morning so that I can start regaining my cardio fitness and feel lighter on my feet again. But that's a goal for maybe two more weeks after I get my regular gymming back on track. Twice over the course of the night😞 First time because I ate a large amount for dinner and I had a food baby.. Seriously just when I was beginning to see progress I ruined my own results with food choices.. And then the second time that night was at 4am after drunkenly binging on an ihop pancake... And then tonight I had crackers and some ice cream... Uh at least I've gone to the gym everyday this week though... Tomorrow is a chance to start over. I'm just disappointed that I'm ruining my own efforts.. It's time to stop letting food control me❌ im going out again tomorrow night but I'm not going to be drinking AND I'm going to stick to my food plan for the next three days and go from there.. Year after year this is the cycle most of us find ourselves in. We change everything trying to get that perfect formula that will keep us on track finally. We change our exercise modality, we change our diet, our gym , our clothes, make the perfect play list and recruit work out buddies. This is it. This time nothing will stop me!
Then from the dark corners of the universe a metaphorical meteor crashes into our well engineered regimen and off the rails we go.
Why? Because we change everything but the one thing that matters most.
How we react to stress.
We can't control the universe or any of its evil minions.
But we can control how we respond to all the daily junk punches it throws our way.
Instead of taking down two sleeves of chips ahoy like a lion taking down an antelope. Ask Yourself "how is this reaction serving me"
When "A" happens, I do "B" then I get "C"
We can't control "A" but we can control "B"
That's the only way I'll get a more desired "C"
So next time you're cruising down the road to success and a big tractor trailer of go fuck yourself comes heading your way, pause, reflect on past responses, and choose to respond a way that serves you better.

My kids were struggling, I haven’t been sleeping because of the pain in my foot 🤪 and trying to cook dinner and clean up was more than I could handle. I don’t like feeling that way! My kids were struggling, I haven’t been sleeping because of the pain in my foot 🤪 and trying to cook dinner and clean up was more than I could handle. I don’t like feeling that way! So this morning I snapped myself out of it and decided to make the best of my day! 🙌🏼 That meant singing and dancing with my kids over breakfast and then after sending them to school, going to the gym to work glutes the best I could with a broken and sprained ankle. (Lots of band work, leg extensions and hamstring curl machine.) No excuses for this girl. The gym is my antidepressant. Who relates?! The gym can turn any negative attitude into a positive one. At least it does for me. Here’s to a new week. Wake up each day and decide to be happy. It’s all up to you! •

“What anyone will tell you after they've made fitness progress is that it takes time and this couldn't be more true. The difference in my before and after photos isn't a couple days or weeks, but 7 months of ups and downs, loss of motivation and re-commitments and Mary Jo has been there every step of the way! I couldn't be more grateful to have someone like her leading the way to becoming healthier and happier. I started with her 8 week holiday challenge and while it was definitely difficult at first learning how to count macros and get through tough work outs, it was the perfect way to jump start my motivation to be healthier both physically and mentally with the support of all the girls going through it with me. I continued working with Mary Jo after the challenge and learned the 'real life' and 'sustainability' aspects of this kind of lifestyle and now it's become almost second nature. I miss the gym when I don't get to workout, but only because I enjoy going now, and it's not the end of the world when I have pizza for dinner on a Friday night. Although I don't use my fitness instagram anymore, I still enjoy sharing health/wellness things I find interesting. In result of a long workout and lack of motivation to cook after having quite the week, I finally broke down and bought a shake at the gym. BIG MISTAKE. After ordering the shake of the month, I inquired about sugar content. The flavor was Mint Chip because I love a good alternative to a Shamrock Shake.

The first worker looked at me like a deer in headlights. The second finally pulled out a binder of nutrition facts and said, "not gonna lie, all the shakes have a lot." Although the protein, fat, and carb content was listed on the shake of the month board, sugar and calorie content were no where in sight. Now I see why! The worker scanned through the binder and guessed it was 28 grams of sugar! That is more sugar than most standard candy bars you'd find in a vending machine. It's strange that she had to guess yet they had other nutrient info on this shake.

So what's the calorie break down of this shake?
Carbs - 4 cal per g:
4×47g=188cal
Protein - 4 cal per g:4x37g=148cal
Fat - 9 cal per g:
9x9g= 81 cal
Total: 417 calories! I could've had a real milkshake! Granted, the macro breakdown of a real shamrock shake is a much less healthy ratio (as shown in the side by side photo) and has about twice as much sugar (63 grams).

Since there was a very high amount of protein in this shake, it is definitely a meal replacement. Unfortunately none of the sugar in this shake comes from fruit so I can't justify the sugar content. The whole meaning of this lengthy rant is to share that food that may be marketed as healthy can turn out to be a less than nutritious choice. Being able to read a nutrition label is so important if you are looking to fuel your body with the right food.

As much as I did enjoy my shake, I won't be using shakes made at the gym as a meal alternative unless they are better about sharing nutrition information. I hope I was able to make at least one person more inquisitive about nutrition from this post about accidentally having dessert for dinner 😊 #foodnerd #nutrition

How I did things: #Intermittedfasting when I woke up I’d have my coffee & chill/check emails or whatever till everyone else woke up for brunch. ( I’m a morning person)
_fasting leaves a smaller window in the day to eat ( I’m used to intermittent fasting anyways. & it works well for ME. Disclaimer: sharing what I do, doesn’t mean u HAVE to do it.

At brunch I asked for cooking spray instead of butter And oil for my omelette and opted for egg whites instead of whole eggs ( bc I knew I’d get fats from other sources. Like the turkey sausage Or the butter I added to my rye toast or the few bites of Anthony’s Pancakes 👅) & I would ask for fruit instead of home fries.
If I had a lot of carbs with breakfast, I’d have a salad at dinner, or vice verse. It’s really not that hArd.
I used to get so stressed bc Being our of town meant my routine was thrown off, and then my anxiety had me obsess about the food. And then obsessing about the food caused me to over eat the food. And I’d come home and starve myself and kill myself with cardio and sit in the sauna forever bc I felt so fat and guilt. ( HOLY FUCK, so glad that’s behind me) competing is amazing BUT can really fuck with your head space.
I digress...... I’m past that. Now vacAtions for me, don’t revolve around food. Hell I honestly rather drink my calories on vacation LOL 🤷🏻‍♀️ _
Since I know people will ask: ( my go to alcoholic dranksssss 👉🏼 Tito’s soda and I got pineapple on the side So I could add a SPLASH* & I had a few shots of Patron ( for some reason I crave tequila at a good pool pArty ) & I had dirty vodka martinis & red wine with dinner ( bc these are dinner drinks, and dinner drinks only lol)

My point in sharing, you should LIVE your life and stress a little less. Fitness goals shouldn’t hold you back from life goals.

Before starting my “Freedom “Fitness” Challenges I had a lot of struggles with my health which led to the unhappy feelings. For me their is a direct correlation between health & happiness. These struggles with my fitness journey causes me to overall feel unhappy and trapped in a system that didn’t work.... #1 Time.
I felt like it took me longer to get to the gym, change and get home from the gym then it actually did to get my workout done? Have you ever timed the process? Then you have the actually workout once you get there. I always caught myself taking long water breaks or waiting for a machine to open up. The process just took to long. And my excuse not to workout was “I don’t have the time” Do you ever catch yourself saying that? I was really starting to become that person.
#2 Variety!
I have the worst workout ADD. In the beginning I was doing pretty good because I know how to put myself through a workout. But after months of it I kept feeling like I was doing the same thing. Run the treadmill, with a HIT circuit hitting the arms, legs, abs. Even a variety workout like that got old! This caused me to get bored with my routines & definitely didn’t enjoy the process.
#3 Consistency!
Not having a set plan was working pretty good until events came up. All of a sudden I was traveling, going to parties and events and I didn’t have a consistent plan to keep up with my active lifestyle. I was having good weeks bad weeks and always terrible weekends.
#4 Willpower.
When I don’t have to think I am much more productive when it comes to working out. I always had to make up my numbers for reps which lots of times I would justify the lower reps. If I was tired I would even call my workouts early because I wanted to get home and just eat dinner & watch tv. I didn’t have anyone telling me what to do or pushing me.
#5 Accountability
For the first time I felt a lone and team-less.

I look forward to the resolutioners in the gym each January, the intimidation, the uncertainty, the feeling of not knowing what you’re doing. I can relate, I feel the same way 6 days a week every time I hit the gym. The only difference is I’m consistent and most any trainer will tell you that’s the key; whatever you’re doing, just keep doing it. I try (and usually do) eat right, sleep enough, supplement appropriately, and follow a training plan. So it’s not New-Year-New-Me this year, it’s new year same me, and that’s the goal - consistency. And this ties in nicely with my next tidbit of news, I just turned 30 three days after New Years! Yay me. Apparently some people take aging poorly ie. they get depressed when they hit these milestone ages, but guess what? Not me. I have the best husband, a great family and am content with my life. What’s also nice is every day since I was 26, I’ve rolled out of bed to find myself stronger, faster, and fitter. A sustainable fitness lifestyle is so much more than vanity (though that’s totally a perk) it make me satisfied with the skin I’m in. I think it’s important to note that finding your soul mate and having material things are not going to make you happy; work on you, find happiness within (hint: fitness, generosity, education, etc.) and then worry about falling in love and buying shit. #fitness “Do not regret growing older. I have had a lovely weekend, spending time with James and doing lots of fitness themed activities! It has been a very fit filled one, of @bodypowerexpo, gym sessions, walks, food prep and nutrition courses. Feeling a little tired now after all of this but just had a very yummy dinner! I had the same dinner last night and loved it so much, I thought I would have it again.
I have got king prawns, stir fried with lots of different greens (celery, green beans, and kale), seasoned with the delicious tandoori spice mix from @thegymchef , served with a HUGE jacket sweet potato and my fave avocado smash (avocado, lemon and chilli flakes). I would definitely recommend these spice mixes. We picked these up yesterday at Body Power and got a few different ones. I can’t wait to try the Jamaican Jerk flavour on my chicken later in the week! They have great macros and don’t have any hidden salt, which a lot of the regular seasonings have.
This was a perfect way to end the weekend (although I am not done eating yet!!!) More snacks for me later!!

My breakfast was donuts 🍩 with a orange juice 🥤 and a big coffee ☕️ with 4 sugars, Lunch was 2 pizza 🍕 with soda 🥤 , my dinner was a two cups of rice 🍚 with beans and chicken and no veggies 🍅 I HAD MOSTLY FAT ON TOP OF MY MUSCLES. My misconception was that as long as you workout you can eat whatever you want and I can just burn out the fat 😭. So the bad habits led to me to feeling discouraged and I ended quitting on myself and feeling disappointed ,lacking motivation,stressed etc...

Fast forward to now I have gained the knowledge of proper nutrition according to my fitness goals, I learned about portion control, healthy eating and that in order for you to get results that you want the nutrition is the most important part. .
YOU CANNOT WORKOUT A BAD DIET. WITHOUT NO NUTRITION YOU WILL NOT GET RESULTS. .
I have finally accomplished my goal of having muscles with abs , and going for more , by simply following a easy meal plan.

Years ago, I had absolutely no idea what my body needed. I ate mindlessly, simply based on whatever craving I had at the time...annnnd I was also very sick.
Changing the way that I look at food changed everything for me. I went from eating strict paleo for 2ish years (which was necessary at the time to heal my gut), to now eating completely intuitively. My body does reallyyy well with a good amount of carbs, especially given my level of fitness activity throughout my entire day.
This was what I ate yesterday, minus some protein chia pudding that I had before the gym, and a vanilla almond milk latte after! Lunch was a grass-fed burger on a gf bun from Roam Burger (they use @canyonglutenfree 🙌🏼) + fries! They have the BEST crispy fries! Dinner was grilled chicken breast with @balancedbites Super Garlic Blend, my Jalapeño Ranch (recipe on my website), greens, a baked Japanese yam with @fourthandheart truffle ghee, and green beans! All of this kept me feeling awesome and buzzing with energy!
It can definitely take time and lots of experimentation, but finding what works best for your body is so sooo freeing!
