Pin Oak is in the books and Soundtrack was a superstar this week! 🌟We ended up double clear and 7th in the Low Adult stake out of a bunch of entries over a very tough course—the perfect way to end the show! I’m so proud of myself for doing all the inside turns, something I’ve really struggled with in the past. 🙈 They’re not super pretty or smooth yet, but we’ll get there! I know exactly what to work on until Fort Worth: left rollbacks to an oxer are officially my worst enemy. 😂 Congratulations to everyone at #teamcoraggio for kicking ass this week! #horse #equestrian #pinoakcharityhorseshow #hunterjumper #horsesofinstagram

Hi There !! You are doing some fantastic things and a few things I would change First of all I love the setting. I'm living in Los Angeles now and we have huge "equestrian centers " unlike my friends and students I have in Texas ,So.Carolina or my home Long Island .I rarely get to see kids "riding out" trail riding .fox hunting etc etc .That's really missing in our urban settings and has reared a generation of timid riders .So YOU are lucky !!!I also like the obstacle you have elected to use for your submission. It's natural .It also lacks ground lines which I feel are used without conscious purpose . It's ramped a bit too much and a bit airy , but it's a real oxer .Many oxers I see are in fact so skinny they remain in essence verticals . This really is what we used to call a "spread fence " Good for you !! Timidity is contagious and in far too ample supply . .I am NOT encouraging riding above your ability mind you .... but along with your nice horse and who ever helps you ,you have a "go for it " attitude ,which is equally contagious !! As kids we used to be competitive between each other .We nicely rivaled each other. It was friendly and we made each other better simply by doing a little bit harder stuff each week .Most of my friends as a kid became professional horsemen/women at least for a time ...... so keep "upping your game :" and everybody will rise with you !!! OK your horse jumps great (more on him ,later) ... I have been trying to imagine what's up with your position . I wasn't there ...but based on your leg position and the general roundness of your upper body ,I'm gonna guess you arrived at the base deep in the saddle and perhaps too open at the hips .This "driving seat " has it's place ...on rare occasions such as getting a timid horse ..or a stopper over a jump .But effective as it is ,it.s never smooth and employed on a regular basis will create a dependence on it ( for the horse ) ....
