I have natural circumstances that could have caused depression, fear, doubt, stress, anxiety, pain and every single negative thoughts and words in the book..... But because I asked God to take me to a supernatural level, to see His Glory in a supernatural way, another level, He delivered. I am looking at all these Natural circumstances in a Supernatural way and I feel soooooo POWERFUL! We have been given the Grace of God at the cross, but we must use FAITH and Action to manifest that grace in our lives. God has Given us ALL POWERS on everything so we must use our words and declare VICTORY IN THE NAME OF JESUS! Get in the word of God, Faith comes by hearing! We have to believe the unbelievable, receive the impossible because in God it is DURABLE. AMEN! ALLELUIA!

What mentality do you revert back to when faced with disappointments, adversity, struggle or pain?
Do you fall back into the “old man” your pre-salvation self? Do you start cussing like Peter, doubting like Thomas, betraying like Judas or lusting like David?
Your default settings is a combination of habits, experiences and choices. It can be influenced by family of origin, social norms, religious attitudes and a host of other factors.
What lies at your core? Is it more familiar for you to worry than pray, to agonize rather than analyze, and to have conflict over comfort?
Joseph’s default setting was trusting God. The common thread through Joseph’s life is he maintained his integrity and hope in God. Joseph’s core belief was he was favored and chosen by God. His default setting was faith over fear.
Do you need to reset your default setting? Do you need to retrain your mind to choose life over death, faith over fear, and worship over worry?
God plainly told us he sets life and death before us and we get to choose (Deut. 30:19).
Choose life! Three points to help you reset your default setting.
· Surround yourself with positive people and influences
· Reduce your exposure to negative influences and toxic people
· Remember the power of choice. You can’t control everything that happens to you but you can control how you respond. #ForensicFavor

Woah! Jesus prayed that. I want that to be my prayer too. A prayer that is so faith packed that it leaves no room for fear. A prayer that is so small yet holds so much power. A prayer of recklessness that screams "God, I'm all in!"
.
Truthfully, I've been too scared to pray that prayer in the past. I allowed fear to bind me in such a way where I feared what God would ask me to do if I prayed that. I feared situations, things, and places that were completely made up scenarios in my mind. I let fear be bigger than my faith. Once I finally released that fear to Jesus, I felt like a huge weight was lifted off. Now, I crave that prayer to be my anthem ...
.
“Father, bring glory to Your name in my singleness." "Father, bring glory to Your name in my pain." "Father, bring glory to Your name in my failure." "Father, bring glory to Your name in my every day."
.
Are you afraid to make that your daily prayer? Maybe you fear what I did. Or maybe it's something else- thinking that you're not good enough for God to use you, being afraid of failing Him, or that worrying that God will ask you to do too much. My prayer for you and myself today is that we would release whatever is holding us back so that we can be all in with Jesus, boldly declaring, "Father, bring glory to Your name." And guess what we'll realize, He already is doing so and He will continue to do so.
.
"“Father, glorify thy name.” Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”" - Matthew 12:28

The table Jesus sits at is more than a table. It’s an altar. ⁣Our lives the offering. ⁣
Table fellowship is where Jesus feeds us gospel. 🔥
Restores IN us that which was lost. Makes us whole.
Biblical table-fellowship gets up under stuff. Further in. Deeper down. It's HARD. Risky even. ⁣

God is Other-Than. Then so are we. #misfits. Jesus gospel of put back togetherness is a subversive pill to swallow. ⁣

It's a verb. It isn't passive. And it isn't all about YOU. Or ME. Western culture is narcissistic. Tells us life is about us.⁣

So does religion, really. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation shows us who God is. What he’s like. Shows us he is the one doing the heavy lifting. We simply join him. Let him. ⁣

Jesus Table reconciles relationships. ⁣
Places lonely in families⁣
Feeds the heart hungry, ⁣
gives relief to hurting hearts, ⁣
helps others carry the weight of their pain. walks side by side, face to face and shoulder to shoulder, until. ⁣

Jesus Table is a place to come 24 hours a day. There is always a feast waiting. ⁣
Pull up a chair. Come as you are. God never leaves you there. ⁣

Table fellowship will make communities LIVABLE again. Isaiah 58📖🍞⁣

(Understanding below)Do you have any idea what has been done for you, and how vital it is? Consider and seek, for it is real.
2 Nephi 9:28 "O that cunning plan of the evil one! O the vainness, and the frailties, and the foolishness of men! When they are learned they think they are wise, and they hearken not unto the counsel of God, for they set it aside, supposing they know of themselves, wherefore, their wisdom is foolishness and it profiteth them not. And they shall perish.
29 But to be learned is good if they hearken unto the counsels of God." 💥In eternity there is all imaginable outside of time. All imaginable. This means never ending peaks on both sides of opposites; of perfection and goodness and love and all truth and goodness and power therein(God); and that in opposition of good; sadness, darkness and the pinnacle power thereof; in depths that are not worth considering, but it is not good.
We currently experience both sides. God's side honors our freedom and choices and simply has His arm outstretched all the time when we call for Him or seek Him, He is there when we need.
In opposition, darkness pecks at us often and pushes thoughts and things of sin to bring us to unhappiness and lifts us up in pride and ensnares.
Commandments are a guardrail of protection from this power. These pinnacle powers are giving you choice in your mind, to be carnal and sinful or spiritual on God's side.
The world is fallen and sinful.
These powers are so beyond us, for anyone to hold themselves in pride of wisdom is chains.
God is light and goodness and thereby creates all things, and opposites against in spheres as this world.
How can we ever return to the Father of all things, and our Father, even God, if we are sinful and have become fallen and not like unto perfection like God?
Resonance reigns when all is energy of God, how can we resonate again with the perfection/cleanliness of God?
Even God in His Son Jesus Christ in His perfection came down and took all the punishment of our sins that we must bare in opposition, of all of us. It made even God tremble because of pain. 🙏We accept through Faith as freedom is paramount to God. All this because He loves us🙌

God has given us the power to trample on the enemy and the authority to overcome him. We do not have to settle or submit to any of his mess. God has given us the power to trample on the enemy and the authority to overcome him. We do not have to settle or submit to any of his mess. For God has given us all the tools we need to fight our adversary.
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
Fear is not of God. Fear is an unpleasant feeling that gives you the idea that someone will cause danger, pain, and a threat to you. But God, has given us peace, love and of a sound mind. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. For greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. You got what it takes!
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
He wouldn't allow the weapons to fire if He knew you couldn't handle it. That should tell you something... God has more faith in you than you have in yourself. The battle that you're in is only a test of your faith. You see... you've been praying, "Lord, take this weight off of me. Lord, remove this burden. Father, take this away.” But God, is saying, “My grace is sufficient.” He's saying, “I'm allowing the frustrations on your job so you can learn how to exercise what I have given you. You can't learn if I'm always removing the burden... You have to learn how to fight! You have to learn how to discover and tap in what I have placed inside of you. So when I take you to the next level of glory, the stuff that used to bother you on that level what bother anymore on your new level.”
⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
There's a lesson in all the madness. Instead asking God to take you away from something, ask Him to show you the lesson He wants you to learn. Ask Him to reveal to you, what you're trying to teach me. Remember, the weapons won't harm you, they're designed to strengthen and build your spiritual growth in Christ. God is taking you to another level of glory.

When your heart is breakin' When your faith has been shaken When the road you're takin' Takes you nowhere at all When it all, seems to all go wrong Remember, nobody, can always be strong. We all fall down... I will catch you, never let you go I won't let you, go through it alone So don't ... When your heart is breakin'
When your faith has been shaken
When the road you're takin'
Takes you nowhere at all

When it all, seems to all go wrong
Remember, nobody, can always be strong.

We all fall down... I will catch you, never let you go
I won't let you, go through it alone
So don't feel left out, we all fall down
We all fall down

When your dreams are shattered

When you feel broken and battered
When every step on the ladder
Takes you nowhere but down

And you lose ground, like you can't hold on

Remember, nobody, can always be strong.

We all fall down... I will catch you, never let you go
I won't let you, go though it alone
So don't feel left out, we all fall.
I will lift you, high above the rain
I'll be with you, we all feel the pain
So don't feel left out, we all fall down
We all fall down

Everyone breaks
You'll get hurt sometimes, in this life
You fly so high, you crash and burn sometimes
And I want you to know, you are not alone

We all fall down (we all fall down)

I will catch you, never let you go
I won't let you, go through it alone
So don't feel left out, we all fall.
I will lift you, high above the rain
I'll be with you, we all feel the pain
So don't feel left out, we all fall down
We all fall.

I will catch you.
I wont' let you.
So don't feel left out, we all fall down
We all fall down

The definition of comfort in your mind is wrong.

It's watered down; the etymology of comfort is true.

We have it in our minds that we're supposed to be comfortable and if there's a God surely he should "comfort" us.

After all, He did name the Holy Spirit The Comforter.

Made this post on this day last year, a few days earlier I'd just found out about my dad's passing.

The pain, the shock, the regrets still continue, it doesn't get easier.

But the Lord strengthens you, if you so choose.

I've been asked where I get the faith or the belief and truth is the breaking down of my ego through pain and suffering brought me to my knees and humbled me.

In my darkest hour all I had was the light of salvation, Jesus and prayer.

I prayed and searched the bible for answers to my situations, skeptically at first, but he comforted me.

And not comfort in the form of ease, but comfort in the form of strength.

Since then, I put one prayer and one Bible study after the other and chose to hold on to that strength.

I simply wasn't willing to let it go.

I don't have all the answers, I'm not perfect and I don't have all the faith.

But I know who does and who is - God is!

Rest in peace daddy. We miss you.

Today my friends, WE CELEBRATE 8 YEARS CLEAN!! September 14th, 2010, I was spiritually bankrupt. I wasn’t living, I was just existing. I came to realize the drugs and alcohol stripped my freedom away way before the correctional system did. I knew deep down in my heart that it was time for a change. So I surrendered and asked for help. I started to feel spiritually free even in a place where I wasn’t physically free. This was the beginning of a life I only dreamed of.

I could not have achieved this on my own hence the words “WE CELEBRATE”. Last year around this time, we were celebrating 7 years and we were expecting a child. I was on an emotional high. And then the most devastating thing my girlfriend and I ever experienced happened. We suffered a miscarriage. Thank God for the gifts of recovery and love. We were devastated. But love saved us. And I say love meaning the program, our support, the love we have for each other but ultimately, God.

Which brings us here. Not only do WE have another year clean but WE have a beautiful baby girl. This gift is teaching me whole new levels of love, gratitude and faith everyday. If I would’ve got high to deal with the pain I felt, I know that it would’ve taken me out of the position to receive the blessings I have today. I am grateful. I am recovering. And there’s still work to be done. Thank you everyone who has played a part in my life, good and bad, for I would not be the man I am today without you. Miracles do happen. We are living proof. #recovery

But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. "Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
‭‭(Matthew‬ ‭6:31, 33-34‬)
In this passage of scripture we can clearly see that God is telling us to not be anxious and worry about what will happen in the next day or the future, because He is in control. God is in control. Many of us, including me have struggled with sitting up at night, from time to time, worrying about what happens tomorrow? What will happen the next day? But don’t think about it. Satan is constantly attacking us with everything he can. Fear, anxiety, pain, worry, and so on. He will stop at nothing for you to fear God and to lose faith in Him. But do not be shaken. Do not lose faith, because God will take care of you. Do not worry cause He is in control. He has a glorious and amazing plan for our lives. If you ever find yourself waking up in the middle of the night worrying, or even in the day, just stop and pray. God is there for you!

Behind all our adventures together, a busy travel and work life, we have been struggling with a painful journey to parenthood for longer than I care to remember. Infertility has been a rollercoaster for us, but I thank God everyday I have Brad as my rock, my confidant, and my biggest supporter (he also makes me laugh 1,200 times a day). There are times our faith has been tested, and times we’ve relied heavily on our faith to pull us through rough patches, to see the hope and the positive side of the journey leading us to make a family. There are so many decisions, options and struggles we have faced over the years. These decisions aren’t easy, but we make them with the ultimate goal of one day holding our own child. In the end we know it will happen for us. In the meantime, between the pain and the waiting, we are going to enjoy this wonderful life we are blessed every day to have in Charleston. To all our friends and family who have supported us along our journey, we love you more than words can say! And to Brad, I love you so much. Xo

I used to think that the Lord’s Prayer was a prayer we are supposed to recite word for word. And some people think that the Lord’s Prayer has some special power or influence with God. The Bible teaches the opposite. God is far more interested in our hearts when we pray than He is in our words. “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do. For they think that they will be heard for their many words” (Matthew 6:6-7). When I pray I just talk to God. I tell him the things that are on my heart. I think him for all he has done in my life and pray for guidance in all I do. And I even pray for him to bring the pain if I am getting off track. He doesn't want us to simply recite memorized words.
When Jesus spoke the Lord’s Prayer he was giving us an example of how to pray. “Our Father in heaven” is teaching us whom to address our prayers tor. “Hallowed be your name” is telling us to worship God, and to praise Him for who He is. “Your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven” is a reminder to us that we are to pray for God’s plan in our lives and not our own plan. I always pray for God’s will to be done, not mine because I know his will is always best. You should ask God for the things we need “give us today our daily bread.” “Forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us” reminds us to confess our sins to God and to turn from them, and also to forgive others as God has forgiven us. The conclusion of the Lord’s Prayer, “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one” is a plea for help in achieving victory over sin and a request for protection from the attacks of the devil.
Is there anything wrong with memorizing the Lord’s Prayer? Of course not! Is there anything wrong with praying the Lord’s Prayer back to God? Not if your heart is in it and you truly mean the words you say. Remember, God knows your heart even better than you do. If you are truly reaching out to Him, he is pleased!

God can use painful situations and turn them into victories, if we allow Him to. God is a gentleman and will never force us to let go if we are not willing to let go. The battle might be over, but the scars always remains. The question is will we let the memory of our scars consume us and finally destroy us or will we let God’s unfailing love and grace move us and ultimately save us. Will we truly allow God to turn our pain and suffering into victory. It shouldn’t be such a difficult choice to make and yet sometimes it is. The memory of pain can become a comfort zone, because many times it’s easier to accept what has happened then to get your hope up for something that might happen. The reality is even though God won’t force is into victory, He still loves us so much that He can’t just sit back. Therefore without us even realizing most of the time that He is actually there and He is equipping us along the way from a distance. We might want to listen to His voice, yet His voice is everywhere. Many times He speaks to us through the people around us. SO MY BOTTOMLINE is speaking from experience of a really long battle in my life, never give up, choose victory and know that you are never alone. Even when you feel you are alone He is still there, just sometimes in different forms. Be open, willing and grateful. That friend in the flesh that is helping you, might just be God through him/her reaching out to you. #GraceThroughFaith #FriendsForever #journey #heart #youareneveralone #believeit #faith #believing #overcome #battlescars #church #Jesus #Christ #Godly #depressionquotes #depro #depression #abuse #sexualabuse #speakout #bestrong #baptisem #wordporn #thoughts #chooselife #victory #winner #grace #deliverance

I've been through the valley (Time of test) and I've been in the muddy pit (Depression and despair) but made it to the other side. When I look back at the darkness that existed in my life, i understand that it's only because of His light that I've come this far. Even in our moments of anguish, God is there to help us and restore us. The process sometimes hurts because it's requires breaking and molding. We all have our own race to run.
Looking back on how fast summer passed amazes me. I’m so grateful for everything God is doing in my life and has done in my life. To God Be the Glory. ~He’s mended a relationship that I never thought could be mended. ~My one year of a custody battle for my 12 year old daughter has finished. Which seemed like the longest trial in my life. But will still be a journey . ~My husband had finished school for all his prerequisites for his nursing after 6 years of school and has 2 more years to go . ~I’ve seen my career in a whole new different way~ ~I’ve gotten so much clarity and freedom in my life and I am no longer a slave behind the chair, which I created my story. I’m here to rewrite my story. I’m creating a new story for myself and my family . ~I am more balanced in my life and knowing family needs to come first not business. ~I’ve learned so much through going to this heaven sent seminar for hairstylist by @dkwstyling And @garrettjwhite and am forever grateful for them and know they’re are changing and will be changing the whole hair industry . It was the biggest investment I’ve ever made for myself and my family. I went with my gut and told myself if I don’t take this leap of faith I’ll never know what’s on the other side. A lot of people will still wonder what’s on the other side and have fear. Don’t wonder 🤔 or have fear no more. Fear will trap you. Whatever your gut is telling you, Do it. Take the leap of faith . And it is so true when I heard this saying once , “ the bigger the investment the bigger the return”. I know it hurts sometime to invest but have faith it will work out. It all started with me. I’ve blamed others for not growing , when all the time I can only blame myself for not growing . Revival starts with me.
Also thankful for all the people the God has placed in my life. There are no coincidences with God. Everybody that God has placed in your life are divine appointments. I do what is required. I have the fight in me. I will fight. On the other side of pain comes the power of love. Remember that when your going through pain. ~Selah

This past Thursday Zoe celebrated her birthday. I’m really proud of her. She’s thoughtful, caring, loving, enjoys life and believes everyone should feel the same. She doesn’t focus on how cruel the world is but rather how much God desires to bring joy and love to all.
All this week Zoe has expressed concern for her courageous friend, Jaelynn, who’s been diagnosed with leukemia. If we hadn’t made plans with family already, we would’ve honored Zoe’s request to be with her friend in the hospital on her birthday.
So Friday we spent the evening with Jaelynn. It was great to watch them talk, laugh and play games together. It was a priceless picture of inseparable friendship. That’s the kind of love that provides comfort in crisis, peace in the moment of pain and affection that strengthens.
Jaelynn is incredibly brave, smart, funny and a beautiful smile that lights up the room.
At times she grimaced with pain because of the chemo treatment. Her incredibly strong, faith-filled Mom & Dad would rub her back to ease the pain. After carefully observing, Zoe took a turn rubbing her friends back.
There were tears when it was time to go. Zoe struggled to utter the words goodbye, but only expressed that she didn’t want to leave her friend. Jaelynn gave her an incredible look of confidence as if to say, “God’s in control and I’ll see you later.” I only ask that if you took a moment to read this, please take an additional moment to pray for Jaelynn.

This saying is something I learned years ago. God truly does answer prayers with "Yes", "Not Yet", or "I have something better in mind!" In some cases, it's all three! Such was the case with Mary, Martha, and Lazarus:

Imagine the great urgency with which Mary and Martha, the sisters of dying Lazarus, sent word to Jesus: “Lord, the one you love is sick” (John 11:3). But Jesus purposely delayed his coming. This was God’s way of saying, “Not yet.” Was he callous about their pain? Hardly. About a week later, Jesus stood at Lazarus’s tomb and wept. He identified with their pain.
Mary and Martha were hurt and frustrated that Jesus had not responded to their request earlier. But Jesus wanted to do something greater than heal a sick man. He wanted to raise a dead man to life.
We catch a glimpse of Jesus’ understanding of prayer in this episode of his life. When we pray according to God’s Word, we are praying what Jesus would have prayed.
When we pray, usually a gap exists between our request and the answer. We must remember that God’s delays are not necessarily God’s denials. Timing is very important to God. A request may be in God’s will but not in his timing.
God has reasons for not answering our prayers at the moment. Sometimes the best answer we can receive is, “Not yet.” (www.zondervan.com)

Lord, please help us to accept Your will and not our own, for Your thoughts are higher than ours. 💛🙏🏾🙌🏾🤙🏾 #Greater #Love #Hawaii #GreaterLove #Fellowship #Aloha #LiveAloha #Grace #Mercy #Jesus #Christ #Sacrifice #Peace #Pray #Faith #Hope #Light #Life #Repent #Forgiveness #DoGood #Prayers #Answers #GodAnswersPrayers

When ... With the anniversary of the loss of my Sweet sister Arlene I can't help but feel a wave of emotions. Although that pain never goes away, I'm so thankful that it wasn't the end of the story and I can't wait to be reunited someday in Heaven. I am so happy I know that this life is not all there is. When you experience this kind of loss or when your life on earth is in question, it will change who you are immensely. You realize that your little blip of life here can change on a dime overnight and everything you were and thought, before that news, changes. You love those that you care about on a much deeper level, appreciate the breath in your lungs when you wake up, realize that the things in life that mattered prior - just don't, and people you love and care about mean everything. You never leave without saying goodbye, you say I love you more often, you take a lot of pictures and never miss important occasions. You realize that you and the people you love can leave this life as we know it at any time, you make and record memories and you try harder to make a difference in your life and the lives of people around you. Too often you are hit with the unexpected wave of pain, uncertainty, and hurt, and you have no choice but to cling to your faith in looking beyond earths shadows in what you can not see. And even if you had any doubts that there is a God who is sovereign, you start turning towards him for answers and strength just to make it through the day - and miraculously He carries you through. Eventually you find yourself taking that leap of faith, taking your hands off the wheel, humbling yourself and asking Him to take over your life because the confusion, hurt, pain and uncertainty is too much. And you find that when you draw a line to God He draws a line to you, and in that instant your life and everything about you, changes.
As much as the loss is still there everyday - God has shown me in incredible ways over and over that He is faithful and real - and that His word is true. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. But He has a place for all of us in His house if we just ask - seek - knock and trust. He will carry your burdens and carry you too.

It is with great heartbreak that we let you know that our bassinet is still empty and that we were deceived. We chose to trust a woman and her family that we allowed into our lives and our home. We still have no answers from her. We know that the birth mom is real. We saw proof that she was pregnant and wanted to give us her baby. We chose to have faith. We have evidence from our own research that the most information she gave us was not true. Now our contact won’t take our calls or texts to give us any info on the birth mom. We feel like victims of emotional terrorism and we wouldn’t wish this on our worst enemy. We are heartbroken! We are devastated. At this point, all we can see is that there is no baby at the end of this road for us. We didn’t give them a dime. This was a heartless act and we are dumbfounded as to their reasons for putting us through this. What we do know is that God invited us on this journey. Our faith has grown to places I didn’t think was possible. Our relationship has grown stronger as we’ve drawn near to God and each other in the midst of all of this unknown. God’s character isn’t defined by our circumstances and for whatever reason He wanted us to take this journey with Him. It sucks but I know there is a baby for us. We don’t know where to go or what our next steps are. We are taking time to heal. While we never held him, it still hurts as if we lost a child because in our hearts and minds, he already was. It was supposed to be a sure thing. I want you to know that we felt EVERY prayer prayed for us. I can not even begin to tell you of the undeniable, indescribable peace God has given us. It doesn’t make the pain go away but fills us with hope because we know that God was in this. He used each of you in this journey. .

Through the Eyes of Christ
Neither of us are perfect, therefor the world we live in, likewise, will not be perfect. Death, destruction and disappointment are common in today’s society and often times a huge aspect of our day to day but we don’t have to allow these moments to dictate our perspective or behavior in life.

I’m frequently asked how I am able to stay so positive or be full of joy despite my surroundings or in the midst of a challenging situation and the answer is simple. I base my responses and reactions from life's perfect role model, Jesus. The Bible teaches us that God sent His Son not just to save our souls but to set an example of how we ought to live our life. Discovering how Jesus reacted in a difficult situation teaches you how to do the same in your time of need.

1 Peter 2:21 says this: “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:”

Whether you realize it or not, we each have a distinctive way we view life that determines our reactions. As your love for God grows and your understanding of Christ strengthens your outlook on life becomes more apparent. Instead of seeing disappointment you begin to see growth, instead of seeing destruction you see an opportunity to help, and instead of seeing pain you see hope.

Your problems may appear challenging at first glance, as if no one else has experienced the same problem or will ever understand, but they are no match for our Lord and Savior. While Jesus walked on this earth He went through His fair share of trials but His love for God and knowledge of the Word helped Him overcome. Learn from the life of Christ; be encouraged and strengthened by His walk and let your response towards future trials not be overcome by emotion but be full of hope and come from a perspective of faith in Christ. Jesus recognzied that God was in control and had faith in the Word of God, we should have the same passion in our life and have faith that God is in control! #FaithFilledCaptions

There's a kind of pain you go through that you're afraid to ask God why
Not because you don't want to, but because you're afraid of the silence after the question.

Loosing yet another son is not a feat one prays to go through especially when it could've been avoided.
You are told not to cry, to rejoice cos' you have one of your twins...
Yes I rejoice...am happy and am grateful but I mourn...
I mourn for yet another son...😢 And then I wake up to a call that Mama is gone?! God!!! Give us faith to trust you in this pain
To trust that you are good, and that your plan for us is expected
We're so broken and we need you more than ever before
We need you to Pierce through this darkness
Cos we're weak Lord

Give us strength to come through🙏🏽

This morning I took my coat off and felt something in my pocket. I pulled out an offering envelope from church. Yesterday I had grabbed the closest thing to me and written out Love Triumphs Fear. I had already forgotten I had written that down and shoved it in my pocket so those words wouldn't slip from my mind. (Good thing I wrote it down!)⠀

I try to give my fear to God but sometimes it just bubbles up before I even know it's there and consuming my minds. I have fear of the unknown, and fear of future pain that might not even come to pass. When you've experienced pain before (and who hasn't?) fear of that same pain comes creeping into our minds. We are only human. But there's good news--Love triumphs over fear. God triumphs over fear. God already knows your whole story, and as the Bible says, His plans and promises for the faithful are good. ⠀

As fear sneaks its way into my heart, I'm going to use it as a reminder to yell out to God for supernatural peace and wisdom to get me through. I hope you can too! ⠀

I had a horrible mastitis experience this weekend. For those who don’t know what that is, I pray you never do! Lol In nursing moms, it’s a plugged milk duct that can lead to infection, fever, body aches, chills, antibiotics and possible drainage if an abscess occurs. It’s the most excruciating pain I’ve experienced. I ended up missing my 7th Anniversary party at YogaBody and teaching my class at Yoga Social Day at the LA County Fair. Usually warm compresses, massaging, nursing and pumping works to relieve the blockage but none of those had been working for most of the day. I almost gave up when I started getting full body chills and aches. Every bone in my body hurt. I wanted to give up due to pure exhaustion and pain. Then I remembered to give it up to God. I prayed fervently asking God to give me the strength to persevere, for healing, and to allow this experience to draw me nearer to Him. Almost immediately Sky started to nurse relieving the blockage allowing me to get some rest. Anyway, just wanted to say that prayer works! We must ask with unwavering faith. Even if the answers don’t come to us packaged the way we want them to, God will never forsake us. "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” - Matt 7:7.
God IS our ROCK! This is a process I’m re-learning and coming to understand in greater depth. It’s a reminder to me as well. I was able to pull of this handstand even tho I was still recovering. 🙌🏽🙌🏽 Sending all my love to you on this beautiful Monday afternoon. Have a beautiful week, Friends. 💗💗💗✨✨✨🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

But you said someone loves you more than you will ever know GOD and I’m giving your number to my Pastor. You will love pa. I’ve been there I’ll tell you my story. Things got different with us but I understood that you had gained a life for God in me and that’s why we were being attack a lot. I decided to just pray more and more for you and for me and somehow we found each other as sisters in Christ again. That week vacay to Miami we had together you said I want everyone to know my name, be inspired by my style and know that I’m a proud Dominican blogger. She is a child of God
Trusting on in faith
Her confidence in Him
sufficient is His grace
She is a child of God
In His death raised
She walk not in darkness
She have the light of day
She is child of God
before time begun
And all the glory goes
To God’s begotten Son
She is God's child
of royal birth
Her Father is king
of heaven and earth
All who seek Christ
None will He cast out
His word is faithful
Trust and have no doubt
She has grace and love
Because she’s a child of God

Daniel, like so many ... “Then Daniel, because of the extraordinary spirit within him, began distinguishing himself among the commissioners... and the king planned to appoint him over the entire realm.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Why would we try to fit in when we were called to stand out?
Daniel, like so many other great people of faith in the Bible, stood out because of who they were in Christ, and we know and honor their names today because of it.
Think of Jesus - He certainly didn’t try to blend in when he yelled up a tree at a tax collector, preached in the temple to the teachers at 13, threw tables over at church, and raised a dead man. And he certainly didn’t blend in when he walked that pain-filled road to Calvary where he was crucified and lifted up as a sinless sacrifice for the sake of our souls.
So why then would we ever want to blend in? I say stand out. GOD says to stand out and let your light shine before everyone!! Be sunshine to people. Smile at strangers. Shine brighter when everyone and everything around us seems to grow dimmer. We are supposed to be different than the world. Set apart. Holy.
We cannot accomplish the purpose God has for us if we aren’t being US. Embrace the things that make you uniquely you, and walk in the confidence that God will use YOU and your unique personality + His unique calling on your life to accomplish immeasurably more than we could ask or imagine for His Glory. So as a family of believers - let’s shine the light of Christ so brightly from within us that it gets the world’s attention and they glorify the giver of all light and life with us!!!☀️💫✨🌟💛

I mean, other than agree. I usually say thank you, but that feels funny because I didn’t pick out her features or draw her. I just got lucky enough to have her. I’m in awe of this babe just as much as the next person. We belong to each other, and she also belongs to a lot of people. My whole family. Definitely Luca. He left and sent her. They both exist, but for some reason I cannot know, they can’t be on earth together the way lots of siblings are. I wish they could. I wish a lot of things. It’s part of being here, isn’t it? Embracing what is and longing for more, for better. Acknowledging what is and creating more, creating better. I can’t really look away from a story where pain precedes a greater destiny than if the pain hadn’t first come. It is breathtaking, this kind of story. We were just at dinner with new friends. He was casually telling us about the death of his father, the death of his brother. We talked of Luca. We did all this over tacos. How do we do it? Mix the sublime and ordinary every single day of our lives. Tacos and grief, both are normal to some and I find it incredible and I find it comforting. This friend, he has so much joy and faith and hope. Another thing I find incredible and comforting. We talked about sad things, and yet sorrow was not the point. The point was and is this: but God! Look what He’s done.
And now I must share this (warning: vulgar language quoted ahead (HELLO EVERYONE WHO IS NOW PAYING CLOSE ATTENTION!)): TJ and I are taking a walk and I am wearing Willa. We walk past a man who looks down and out. He’s missing teeth, his hair is unkempt. He stops and points at me, shouting, “WELL SH*T! I’D SCREW THAT MOTHERF*CKER SO HARD IF I COULD!” TJ and I keep walking. We are the kind of silently stunned you are when a perfect stranger yells curses at you out of the blue.
TJ takes my hand and I lean in, “I’ve still got it,” I whisper.
*I don’t condone this language or way of talking to another human. However, it was so wildly ridiculous to hear in front of my husband with my newborn strapped to my chest, that, more than anything else, I find it funny.

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to stay joyful? One minute you are on top of the world, the next in a pit of despair. To stay joyful is like trying to carry water in a bucket full of holes, you fill up, and it leaks out. And the Word says "be joyful always". Is this just a suggestion? It doesn't make sense and seems impossible. The car breaks, kids are fighting again, the dr gives you the bad news, your spouse walks out, your co-worker stabs you in the back, stress keeps growing, your neighbors are difficult, you failed the test and you want us to be joyful?
Being joyful wasn't impossible for the Apostle Paul, the author of the book of Philippians. He seemed to be able to live his life in a perpetual state of joy, and wanted to help others live in that joy as well. The book of Philippians is Paul's personal manifesto on how to live a life full of joy. We see this over and over again throughout the letter.
• I pray always with joy - 1:4
• I rejoice - 1:18
• I will continue to rejoice - 1:18
• Be glad and rejoice with me - 2:18
• Rejoice in the Lord - 3:1
• Rejoice in the Lord always - 4:4 The word joy just drips off the pages in this book in various forms. One thing that is true about Paul is that his life was not easy. Paul lived almost every day of his life in mortal danger and physical pain. But the secret of Paul's joy is found in the way he thinks -- his attitude. Listen, there are four thieves that rob us of joy - Circumstances, people, things, and worry. To keep them away we must cultivate our minds and attitudes. Let me break it down for you. Have "faith" in the midst doubt. Faith is a worry killer. Don't let your circumstances control you. It can't rain all the time, the sun will eventually shine again. Stop focusing on people and focus on God. Stop living for others and start living for you. Don't worry about things, they come, they go, they don't last, and they never satisfy. All in all fam, look at life like God does and look for opportunities to put your mind to work. Joy isn't unachievable. Change you stinking thinking and move forward with joyful expectations. Good morning tho 🙏🏽

The suffering of afflictions, pain, toil, calamity, provocation or other evil, with a calm, unruffled temper; endurance without murmuring or fretfulness, from a kind of heroic pride, or from a Christian submission to the divine will.

I don’t know about you, but so often
I can become impatient with patience.
When something gets in the way of my plans and strategy it is easy for me to be impatient!
Especially traffic! “Ain’t nobody got time for that! “

But God is never in a hurry, He’s always on time.
Learning to trust God’s love and goodness even when things aren’t going our way is how he works in us and for us. I become encouraged knowing that if something doesn’t go my way, that God is ultimately in control and it will still go His way, which is the best way and the perfect way. I feel as if my patience is always being tested. Not to destroy me but to prepare me for where God is taking me!

Have you ever played a video game and we’re forever stuck on a level? Did you almost just want to give up? How frustrating was it? Were you so fed up with seeing the same thing? Yet you cannot pass until you have mastered that level! I can almost guarantee that you if you don’t get the practice to pass that level, you will find yourself in an even more difficult and frustrating challenge on the next one!
Pride is the brother of instant gratification.
But patience is the companion of humility.
It’s so humbling to wait.
I just think of Moses or job...
They are in my eyes champions of meekness and humility ! All these trials and tests are what make our faith real. We can shift our our perspective from seeing problems, to seeing an opportunity to produce perserverence. Our patience is evidence of the spirit of God working in us... it’s actually a fruit of the spirit. Our patience gives us the privilege of demonstrating the fruit of God’s Love!
God’s love is patient.
I am constantly being humbled by my process... but I know it’s preparing me and producing in me
everything I need to level up! Next time you hate your wait... Remember it’s the very thing God uses to make you great! #beckahshae40

I feel so unsure As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor As the music dies Something in your eyes Calls to mind a silver screen And all its sad goodbyes I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you
Time can never mend The careless whisper of a good friend To the heart and mind If your answer's kind There's no comfort in the truth Pain is all you'll find I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you Never without your love What am I without your love? Tonight the music seems so loud I wish that we could lose this crowd Maybe it's better this way We'd hurt each other with the things we want to say We could have been so good together, We could have lived this dance forever But now, who's gonna dance with me? Please stay I'm never gonna dance again Guilty feet have got no rhythm Though it's easy to pretend I know you're not a fool I should have known better than to cheat a friend And waste a chance that I'd been given So I'm never gonna dance again The way I danced with you Now that you're gone Now that you're gone Now that you're gone What I did that was so wrong? So wrong that you had to leave me alone?

I remember the first time I saw this photo and audibly gasped. It's the photo I ran on @hellobeautiful celebrating bloggers of color. It's the photo that first introduced me to @chasingdenisse's magic. It's beautiful in its composition and depth, but it's the subject - @kyrzayda_ - that makes you skip a breath. A woman of poise and purpose. A woman who's experienced pain and heartache but never lost her sense of adventure. A woman truly at peace with herself. As I followed @kyrzayda_ and got to know her, I realized this photo only begins to capture her beauty. She was a generous spirit. She shared every part of her cancer battle to encourage us to lead fuller lives. She was fighting for her life and still taking the time to inspire other people. She showed unshakeable faith. As she shed hair, lost weight, and some days was too tired to even stand, she held fast to the belief that "God is still good." I will never forget how she ended every heart-shattering update with those words. "God is still good." How blessed are we to live at the same time as Kyrzayda, to witness her beauty, grace, strength and wonder. We are all better having known you. I pray for peace and comfort for your family, friends, and fans all over the world. I'm so glad your pain is over and you are now in the safe and loving arms of that same good God. Soar free. 🌸🕊 #kyrzaydarodriguez PC: @chasingdenisse

Week 4:Friday – I am a Victim
Read Genesis 50:19-21; 1 Peter 2:22-23; Philippians 1:12-14; Psalms 10:14; Isaiah 43:18-19
SOAP: Isaiah 43:18-19.
.
Have you ever been hurt by someone? We all have, in one way or another. We live in a broken world with sinful people. Pain is a condition of the human experience. But with God’s help, we don’t have to stay in that pain forever. We can heal and move forward in faith and forgiveness as we let go of the past and embrace the future.
.
We must remember we are never alone in our pain, God is right there with us and gives us the strength to overcome. Joseph, son of Jacob, illustrates this principle. His brothers sold him as a slave, but God used that tragic event to advance His purpose. Instead of acting as a victim in his circumstances, Joseph trusted in God’s plan. Yes, we live in a broken world but we must remember that God is more powerful than any evil, any pain…any heartbreak and He can bring good out of any horrible event.
.
So while we cannot control what happens to us, we do have a choice in how we respond. We can either allow our pain to keep us in our past, or we can choose to move forward in faith trusting God to redeem our pain and bring beauty out of ashes..
.
Father God, help me to heal from my pain. Use what was intended for evil and bring good out of it like only You can. Help me to forgive those who have hurt me and move on with my life…not allowing me to see myself as a victim but rather a victor with Your help. I know I can do all things through You as You give me the strength…may my life bring You glory! Bring purpose out of my pain. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

There is nothing like the joy of a mother's face upon seeing her newborn child which she has just labored to bring into the world. It is a supernatural mystery to witness a child enter the world, hear their first cries & hold them in your arms. God takes two cells and multiplies them into trillions of cells that make up a human being. All this done in the secret of the womb while we are mostly unaware of what is taking place. It is all nothing short of a miracle.

This is the miracle that my wife Mary and I have been witness to in these past 9 months preceding the birth of our new son. My wife doesn't have easy pregnancies, and gets extremely nauseous and weak in that first trimester of pregnancy. It literally takes everything that she has to carry the new life within her. Yet despite the pain, she knows- we know- it's all worth it. For the moment we will see this child's face and for every moment thereafter we get to spend loving and being loved by our child. "I will not cause pain without allowing something new to be born", says The Lord".
Isaiah 66:9 "When a woman is in labor she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she gives birth to the child, she no longer remembers the anguish because of the joy that a child has been born into the world."
John 16:21

In marveling over this mystery of life, I believe God is saying something to us about Faith. "Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see." Heb. 11:1

Faith is what gets my wife through her difficult pregnancies: the joy of the promised child outweighs the pain of the process.
The joy of the promise exceeds the pain of the process. "Jesus, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at right hand of the throne of God." Heb. 12:2

God wants us to believe Him for the promises to be fulfilled in our lives. What are the promises that you are believing God for? I encourage you to Believe today that the process you are in, no matter how painful, will lead to fulfillment in God's perfect timing. And that the JOY you will experience will far exceed the pain you endured! Nothing will be able to take away your joy!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Raïssa Kakisingi. I'm 23 year old and passionately in love with Jesus and the Word. My life began to change as I trusted God and allowed Him to use my Instagram as a rod in my hand to lead a nation a knew nothing of. Few years have gone by now, and I humbly want to express the deep gratitude in my heart, for the privilege you have all given me to walk alongside you in this process called life.
I admit that there were times when the last thing I wanted to do was write, days I'd be on my knees in tears turning my struggles and pain into n encouraging post of faith, nights I'd spend praying for some of you when my own life was falling apart. And today, I can't help but shake my head in disbelief of how God has used nothing (me) for His glory. Admittedly, the brokenness and price I paid to hear the heartbeat of God for His nations (people) has been worth it. And that’s because of all the testimonies and stories I get to hear that move and inspire me; the dear hearts that have trusted me enough to open up to receive answers, deliverance & healing; the gentle souls I got to interact with; the amazing people I have come across. Some may say I inspire them, but truth is, you have inspired me in more ways than you can imagine, and for that I am grateful for you. Which is why I will continue to pray for you, to cheer you on the sidelines of your race of faith. I will continue to get on my knees in the middle of the night and hear what Holy spirit has to say to that one person in need of HIS words. Words are powerful friends. THE Word, is powerful. It delivers, it heals, restores, comforts and reassures. It meets us in our needs, sweeps us off our feet, wrecks/breaks us, mends & shapes us. But mostly it brings us closer to the nearness of a Faithful Father. So as my heart grows, I hope we can continue to grow together. I hope to continue using this instrument to communicate the very heart of God to His people, to share what He puts in my heart for a soul other than myself. Wisely, and mostly with LOVE. I pray that by the grace of God I get to meet you all. And I know I will, someday. But until then, I will willingly serve you this way. 💛

It's not easy to make yourself believe that it's okay because honestly all you have inside you is pain. And thats the thing! We are focused on the problem and yet God always reminds us of how He uses simple gestures... I still feel terrible for losing my Bestfriend Mischa 😭💔 But on my flight to Seattle, God showed me His Love through this! Seated beside me is an athlete. It's so timely that in his baseball glove is a great reminder of God's promise! "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” I got teary eyed and caught myself smiling. 🙌🏼 I prayed and Thank God. 🙏🏼 We may not understand circumstances, closed doors, life's challenges and despair but in the end may we trust God's wisdom and find obedience in our hearts for His will. To accept it and embrace it.
Let this be an encouragement,
Sometimes the bad things that happen in our lives put us directly on the path to the best things that will ever happen to us. Trust the journey, Keep the Faith and Be Hopeful ❤️ God's in Control! 💃🏻 #gratefulheart

Ok, so I’ve baited you in with this photo but I believe in using this platform in a positive manner, and felt led to speak on something! 🙏🏻 I woke up this morning really feeling like a lot of people needed to hear words of encouragement this morning. I then saw this tweet • “At some point you have to stop destroying what you’ve prayed for and deal with YOU.” • It’s so easy to have the answers / signs right in front of you, but be so caught up in what YOU want for selfish reasons, to not see the perfectly laid out plan that God has for you so you can flourish. So, to really deal with YOU is to seek within and find what is pure and true to you’re heart, and what will provide lasting happiness. When my outlook was grim a few months ago, I was in church worshipping and I specifically remember God speaking to me and saying, “Do you really believe that’s the best I can do for you? ...Wait.” From that moment on, I decided to focus my attention differently and doors have been opening to new opportunities with a fresh outlook on life. I realized that all those times I may have been anxious, or doubtful, or upset, that those insecurities were a direct correlation of my LACK of FAITH in my God. That I did not believe that he would provide me with everything and more - though he always has. Here’s my bottom line - whatever troubles you might be facing just know He has already gone before you - like my pastor, @alexseeley spoke on last week - this battle is not yours to fight, it is already won. There is purpose in pain and trials. Be thankful for your battles because they are growing you! Your purpose is waiting on the other side! • Hebrews 11:1 • “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” 🙌🏻🙏🏻 Have a blessed week y’all, be kind to one another! Thanks for reading, comment with something positive that’s happening for YOU right now.

From Jonathan Pitts (Wynter’s husband) ——- Last night, Wynter was taken from us suddenly but we know that she was only taken into the hands of the God that she loves with her whole heart. Though we grieve, we are doing so with hope. And though we hurt, her life and her legacy will continue on through each one of us, especially my four daughters. Thank you for your prayers, specifically for them. ——————-From Alena Pitts our oldest daughter:

On July 24, 2018 Jesus took my precious mommy off this earth. It happened within a couple hours and was so sudden. My heart hurts like never before. Comfort seems far. Anxiety is extremely present. It still feels like a dream that I will wake up from soon. I will remember those thirty minutes for the rest of my life. And I will remember the pain I felt as I found out. But the surgeon who was on site who is also a family friend repeated this phrase to me as I walked down that hospital hallway. And for some reason I couldn’t forget them. As they told me my mom had passed, these words continued and still continue to pound in my head. “I’m gonna tell you something I need you never to forget, ok? You serve a big God. A big God. Don’t you ever forget that.” I serve a big God. Obstacles will be thrown at me but my God is still there. He knows what he’s doing and he’s got a plan. I say this not by sheer will but through faith. In the moment, his plan may seem outrageous and I may not understand. I continue to ask myself why me. Why did He choose my family? But I’m reminded He’s in control. So even as I weep and grieve, I can smile with joy because I’ll see her again. Even now she’s been throwing little winks at me. Please be praying for my family as my three younger sisters and I have lost our mommy and my dad has lost his best friend.❤️

Honesty hour... I am in a rough season. Well, the season itself is perfectly where God has me, but I am having a rough time with it. I have been looking forward to this phase of life for so long, just not the unanticipated challenges it has brought. In short, I am not okay. And that is totally okay!
‭‭⠀
(Huh?)
‭‭⠀
We often sound like mindless robots. *cue robot voice* “Beep... this season may be difficult... boop... but God has a perfect plan...” Don’t get me wrong, if you can navigate hardships with unwavering faith, I salute you!! But for the rest of us, it can be hard to align what we know to be true about God’s character with what our hearts are feeling.
‭‭⠀
I want you to know this: it is okay to not be okay!! It is okay to feel pain and be emotional in hard seasons. My life looks very different now from what I had “planned” and to be completely transparent, I have cried... a lot. But I have also prayed a lot. Because even though I don’t understand why things are the way that they are, I can still cling to the truth that my God is good!! We can know that He is good and still feel sad. Why? Because seasons end and new ones begin.
‭‭⠀
Just because we do not understand the purpose of this season right now does not mean it doesn’t have purpose. “Strength is not holding it all in and being okay. Strength is letting it all out and being okay with not being okay.” When I am sad, I express my heart by writing. Right now, I am weak, and that is okay!! We don’t have to be strong all the time. We don’t have to understand all the time. We just have to cling to the truth that one day it will make sense. And because that day is not today, I will cry and journal and pray and let myself be weak.
‭‭⠀
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 “And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me. Therefore I am well content with weaknesses, with insults, with distresses, with persecutions, with difficulties, for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.”

Excerpt from Hearts of Fire: “As Christians, we’re familiar with Roman 8:28: ‘…all things work together for good for those who are called according to [God’s] purpose.’ While that verse can often be a comfort, it can also be one of the most difficult passages in the Bible. When we see stress and suffering impacting other believers’ lives (or our own), it may be hard to reconcile the idea that something positive can really come out of such challenges.
The Apostle Paul’s point is not that pain doesn’t hurt, or that there’s no such thing as evil, or that bad things never happen to God’s people. It’s that the Lord, in the mystery of His sovereign grace, somehow interweaves both dark and light threads so as to produce a beautiful tapestry.
Elsewhere, Paul (Romans 5:3-4) and James (James 1:2-4) indicate that the good that comes to us through bad experiences has nothing to do with feelings or circumstances. Instead, it’s a question of becoming different than we were before our troubles began: stronger, more hopeful, more loving, more faithful.
Various Bible passages use the illustration of refining gold or silver through fire — a process through which contaminants and extraneous materials are burned off to leave nothing but pure precious metal. If the end result of a heated crisis is a purer faith in Christ, that’s good.”

Was your pathway to help. His thought of pain became your trail to progress. What he does will only help what God needed. You may be tested, but the failing grade is on you Stop giving him all that power in your dark days. Many times you're only in the dark because you refuse to reach for the light switch. You're only in the dark, because you don't want to pay the bill it takes to keep it on. That bill being your walk. That bill being your works. That bill being your faith. That bill being your patience. We have what it takes to pay every bill, but we do whatever we can to get extensions. If the devil is on your back, it's because you bent down to let him on, instead of bending down to pray him away. How can you give him the credit of dark, when the price was paid by the Light (Jesus)? Each hurdle you have to cross isn't always a set up by satan, sometimes it's a strengthening from God. There's power in one name... and not an once in any action of the devil. When you give him credit for your defeat, it's because you don't want to admit the failure in YOUR decisions. There is NO POWER in WHAT HE DOES and NO FEAR in WHO HE IS... When GOD is ON YOUR SIDE the devil shouldn't even be ON YOUR MIND.

A day of sorrow and celebration woven together with the golden threads of words to God and with each other. What brought us to this place is love. But what sustains us is the hope born of faith and trust in the One who knows the number of our days.
David, Cathy, Julia, Patrick and extended family—-as we heard today, life may change but it does not end. And if asked “Where is your God?” we have experienced the answer. He is with us; in the prayers, the scriptures, the cup and the bread, the tears, the memories . . . He is in the air that we breathe.
Amen. “I tell you this, brothers and sisters: Flesh and blood cannot have a part in the kingdom of God. Something that will ruin cannot have a part in something that never ruins. But look! I tell you this secret: We will not all sleep in death, but we will all be changed. It will take only a second—as quickly as an eye blinks—when the last trumpet sounds. The trumpet will sound, and those who have died will be raised to live forever, and we will all be changed. This body that can be destroyed must clothe itself with something that can never be destroyed. And this body that dies must clothe itself with something that can never die. So this body that can be destroyed will clothe itself with that which can never be destroyed, and this body that dies will clothe itself with that which can never die. When this happens, this Scripture will be made true: “Death is destroyed forever in victory.” “Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your pain?” Death’s power to hurt is sin, and the power of sin is the law. But we thank God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. So my dear brothers and sisters, stand strong. Do not let anything move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your work in the Lord is never wasted.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:50-58‬ ‭NCV‬‬

We all go through distressing times in life. These seasons of suffering may be brought about by relational difficulties, financial hardships, or other trials. But as God’s children, we can take heart in knowing that our pain is not wasted.
Sometimes our pain is for the eternal benefit of others—God uses it to reveal the genuineness of our faith so that others might see it and be drawn to His Son (1 Peter 1:7). By the way we respond to adversity, our belief in Jesus becomes visible to those around us. Believers will be encouraged, and seekers will ask us questions about our faith.
At other times, God uses trials to teach us to obey—Hebrews 5:8 tells us that even our Savior learned obedience from the things He suffered. Another purpose of hardship is to broaden our ministry. The apostle Paul’s imprisonment let him minister among the guards, resulting in the salvation of many.
Difficulties can also be the Lord’s tool in preventing a problem from happening—such as the unidentified ailment that kept Paul from becoming prideful. When disobedience threatens our walk with God, He will take whatever steps are needed to draw us back to Him. He may allow a need to remain unmet or something cherished to be removed. His purpose is that we confess our sin and return to Him.
We may not know the reasons for our heartaches, but the wisest choice we can make is to trust the heavenly Father. After all, He who saved us through the sacrifice of His Son has promised to use our suffering to bring about good (Rom. 8:28). #dailydevo #devotion

O God of love, compassion, and healing look on us, people of many different faiths and traditions, who gather today at this site, the scene of incredible violence and pain.

We ask you in your goodness to give eternal light and peace to all who died here-- the heroic first-responders: our firefighters, police officers, emergency service workers, and Port Authority personnel, along with all the innocent men and women who were victims of this tragedy simply because their work or service brought them here on September 11, 2001.

We ask you, in your compassion to bring healing to those who, because of their presence here that day, suffer from injuries and illness. Heal, too, the pain of still-grieving families and all who lost loved ones in this tragedy. Give them strength to continue their lives with courage and hope.

We are mindful as well of those who suffered death, injury, and loss on the same day at the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Our hearts are one with theirs as our prayer embraces their pain and suffering.

#God of peace, bring your peace to our violent world: peace in the hearts of all men and women and peace among the nations of the earth. Turn to your way of loving those whose hearts and minds are consumed with hatred. God of understanding, overwhelmed by the magnitude of this tragedy, we seek your light and guidance as we confront such terrible events. Grant that those whose lives were spared may live so that the lives lost here may not have been lost in vain.

Comfort and console us, strengthen us in hope, and give us the wisdom and courage to work tirelessly for a world where true  #peace and  #love reign among nations and in the hearts of all.

She has to have some major surgery, but with her medical insurance, she has to come up with some of the money to be paid out of pocket. She meets with her doctor tomorrow and will find out if she can afford her part of the surgery. Her stomach has moved to her chest and its causing her massive pain, labored breathing and other side effects from this happening. Lets Pray.⠀
.⠀
Heavenly Father, we reach out to You and know that when we call on You, if two or more gather in prayer, You hear our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to have a direct line to you through the Lord Jesus. Father we pray for Heather, that the costs of this surgery be less than what she is expecting it to be, and allow the hospital and her insurance to work out a payment plan if that’s whats in Your Will for her Father. ⠀
Be with her at this time and we pray the blood of Jesus over her to give her comfort, security, hope and renewed faith that You will carry some of her physical and mental pain, and be with her through this process, let her breathing be full and her pain be lessened. Also Father, please give her Daughter and Son comfort as well, seeing their mother in pain. We believe that Angels will be dispatched to her, to sing joys of the Lord and Blessings of the Lord over her, and their hands lifted to Heaven in praise for what You are doing in her life. Once her surgery happens- Let the Holy Spirit supernaturally guide the hearts, minds and hand of all the medical staff and give Heather quick healing and recovery once the surgery is over. ⠀
. ⠀
We petition this before the Throne of God and we ask that this be done in Heaven as it is on Earth. We pray to you God and praise you in the name of You Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Amen

Happy Mother's Day to all my sweet friends grieving. You are a mother. And to you, I say: “We see you. We have not forgotten. YOU are not forgotten.”
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To the woman looking at yet another negative pregnancy test; we see you.
To the woman holding only a memory of a heartbeat, we see you.
To the woman staring at a gravestone, we see you.
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We see your bravery every time you smile and every time you get out of bed and every time you hold a baby that isn’t yours and every time you give the honest answer about how many children you have. We see your sacrifice when you show up to church or to work or to your best friend’s baby shower even though it hurts like hell. We see your selflessness when you put another’s needs above your own, even when your heart is breaking. We see your compassion when you weep over another’s story of loss and heartache. We see your faith when you praise the God who could have stopped this pain.
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We see you. And we are so grateful for your example.
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your example has changed us.

I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to record quite a few albums in my career. All of them are special in their own unique way. None so much as this album. Today I sang a couple of songs from it at a friends funeral...one of the toughest things we can do as artists. But it made me think. It made me realize, as it has done over and over since it’s release, how much this album has taught me, as a man. I didn’t plan this album. My dad wanted it as a gift for my mom. But I’ve had many so many people tell me it has brought them joy and comfort. Today it brought that to me. Comfort. When I needed it. But It has brought me that comfort over and over and continues to do so. When we see our friends in pain, we all want to help in any way we can. To help make some of the pain go away. And in return it helps ease our pain a bit. And if you’re asked to sing some songs then ya do it. These traditional songs have everlasting impact on people’s lives. That’s why they’ve been around so long.
I consider myself a man of faith, more in the last year then ever in my life. We all need reminders. And today...this week...the last 3 months have been constant reminders. I’m not a preacher. Nor do I want to preach now. I just want you to know. Thank you for this life. I love music. Everything about it lifts me up and brings me happiness. I love this dream and cherish all that it continues to give to me. All the ups and downs. Every second of it. Good and bad. God is good. And I’m so thankful he has shown me that in a time when I needed it the most.

Hibernation is a coping mechanism. That's what we do when we fail to address the hurt or pain we've experienced in our past or present. We cope with it. Coping is not healing. Please remember, everything that hibernates, comes out of hibernation.

Let your Heavenly Father heal your heart. Let Him direct you to books, messages, divine relationships and connections to deal with the pain and face the hurt. Your loving Father wants your heart WHOLE, not filled with HOLES.

Fear is deceptive. It will lead you to fight false battles to protect you from facing the real ones. 🎶
Papa spoke the word
Again.
to my heart this morning. He is the God of again.
He said, “for I am WITH you, to save you. Praying that we LET him guard our hearts and minds as we stand up in our todays. Our messes. Knowing that we are standing on God’s strength. We don’t ask him to strengthen our strength. That is self righteousness. It’s a sin. So we, by faith, take Jesus strength. No trying straining and striving. This is all NEW to me but I want to learn. I know life circumstances will train us yes? We are being made warriors🔥 we are #misfits who take God at his word in impossible situations because he will help us navigate. Praying for provision in the pain today. To keep saying yes when everything comes at you. To stay in the crucible. To let God kill pride and our raging self centeredness. In all things shalom xx

Because we live in a world where evil runs rampant, no one is immune to these heinous acts of evil. In fact, though difficult to comprehend, Jesus promised tribulation in this life, warning us that we will be tested and tried. However, there's one thing we know for sure; He has overcome the world. {John 16:33} He is the Doctor of doctors, the Healer of healers, and a good good Father. He heals the broken hearted and He binds up their wounds. {Psalm 147:3} This life is so temporary and minuscule, but eternity is forever. After unspeakable tragedies such as this, we can often lose sight of God in the midst of great pain. We forget that God does NOT orchestrate these tragedies, yet He is able to bring a peace that surpasses all understanding that reminds us He is always with us, and has the beginning and the end in mind. In this world where there is free will, there will be evil, but we must fight evil with good. {Romans 12:21} With this in mind, we have a choice: we can lose faith in the quest for answers and logical explanations, or we can lift up our hearts and prayers to the God Who's character we know, for the victims and their families. Lord, heal Las Vegas. Let them see You as you wrap them in your arms of peace. In this time, we mourn with those who mourn. {Romans 12:15}

Yesterday (April 9) marked 3 years since the day I went into a coma and was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. In some ways, it feels like a new birthday. Revival. 3 years of life doctors didn’t expect me to have. I can only imagine the heartache Justin felt from 9000 miles away in Uganda as my body was shutting down.
.
It’s been 3 years of testing blood, counting every carb that goes into my body, calculations, injecting insulin for every meal, snack, and workout, @dexcom changes, waking up in the middle of the night to test, correct highs, and treat lows. 3 years of reading and learning more about how my body works (or doesn’t work) than I ever thought I’d know. 3 years of blood, sweat, and tears. 3 years of doing the full time job of an organ just to live another day. 3 years of battle.
.
But God. He knew from the beginning. He knew that my pain would bring about one of the most beautiful, and redemptive stories. Two months after my diagnosis, He brought a daughter into our family, who was also just diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. He was preparing me for such a time as this. He was preparing me for Zola.
.
It’s been 3 years of of waking up each morning and choosing joy, some days much easier than others. 3 years of being brave because I have a daughter that lives with the same disease and watches my every move, action, and word spoken about living with Type 1 Diabetes. 3 years of a new confidence I never had, despite having a disease that is often misunderstood. 3 years of grace and building of my faith. 3 years of new, rich friendships. 3 years of being fueled to inspire and spread hope, because a disease should never determine the depths of your joy. Type 1 Diabetes has given me far more than it can ever take away.
.
Would we truly know joy if we never experienced pain? We’d never see the breathtaking beauty from the mountaintops if we didn’t walk through the valleys to get there. The thing that brought me such hurt lead me to one of my greatest gifts.
.
Have you ever stopped to think that your pain is preparing you for something far greater than your human mind could ever imagine? I never would have pictured this, but I’m glad He did.
.
GOD WASTES NOTHING.💕

My dear Adaline Rose 🌹, It's only been a week since your birth but since the day I saw your beautiful newborn face a different and unique love grew inside me. I couldn't love you more if you were my own. I hope to share your future triumphs, your joy and your pain. I hope to be beside you every step of the way. Watching you grow for the years to come. Certain situations may not be ideal at this time but I hope as your grow older you will get to experience the calm after the storm. Every night I have been praying for you and this crazy roller coaster we call LIFE that is up ahead waiting for you. My sweet Adaline you will have moments of happiness, smiles and laughter and moments of sadness, heartbreak and anger. But I want you to remember one thing like you reminded me believe it or not this past week for whenever you find a bump on the road, "It is neither the size of our faith nor the size of the mountain but the strength of the One we have faith in." All you need is God on your side and faith the size of a mustard seed and nothing will be impossible baby girl! Also, always keep in mind each day you pray; don't continue to tell God how big your problem is at the time. Instead tell the storm how big your God is. Now as I continue to wait for the calm and peace to return once more, I'll keep praying for you , your parents and our family in this new chapter in life.
I love you!

I thanked God for my life, my family, my wife and for never leaving me. I just talked to Him like a father or friend. If I never came back to God I wouldn’t be here today. My past and pain was drawing me to a dark place where I didn’t want to be here anymore. But God had a bigger plan for me according to Jeremiah 29:11. Sometimes we don’t see them lying there
beneath the dirt. But there is a mighty miracle happening. Showered by a little faith and lighted with hope, the miracles begin growing into something we can see.
Ann says, “Miracles begin understated. They begin, and the earth doesn’t shake and trumpets don’t sound. Miracles begin with the plainsong of a promise – and sometimes not even fully believed. This is always the best place for miracles: God meets us right where we don’t believe. When our believing runs out, God‘s loving runs on.” What happens when doubt begins choking our faith? All we need to do is open our heart to Jesus, come to Him with our grief and unbelief and let Him fight our fear and doubt. Let Him perform the miracles.

@annvoskamp says, “Come to Him just as you are. Give up trying to be self–made: this is your gift to Him – and His gift to you. Simply come. The miracle of Christmas is that you get more than proof of God’s existence. You get the experience of God’s presence. You always get your Christmas miracle. You get God with you.” He is the greatest gift. And when we can remember and surrender and rejoice through our pain, we will begin to see miracles happening in us and around us. Jesus will take our fears and our tears, our doubts and our failures, and make “everything beautiful in its time” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). A miracle for sure. Pause for the miracle, watch for it begin.... #bookclub #annvoskamp #unwrappingthefulllovestoryofchristmas #marktwainlake

Day 68 ICU... guess who has breathed all on his own for the last 3 days with absolutely no ventalior or oxygen. Glory be to God alone. We are so very very thankful as we were told he may never come off the ventilator. We still have to use a cough assist machine to clear his lungs but we are so very very thankful for his breathing without assistance. Trey has been battling with a very serious condition this past week known as autonomic dysreflexia which shoots his blood pressure sky high and has to be medicated immediately to bring back down... it is brought on by pain in the body he is unable to feel...but we are welcoming his surgery this coming week to rid him off very large kidney stones that may be the cause of this condition at this time. I have fed this man like y'all cannot imagine. He has gained 24 lbs back of the over 50 lbs he has lost. His stage 4 wound is still showing signs of healing. And last but certainly not least... Trey has had some voluntary movement of his muscles right above and below his elbow in his left arm. This is below his chest line which he has had no feeling or voluntary movement below this line since the accident. This indicates great possibilities for this arm. We Praise God for this hope we have been shown and continue to pray for complete healing. I work with him everyday doing more therapy to help strengthen his body. Trey continues to have the attitude of a champion... even through the toughest moments. What I have witnessed is so powerful to me. From this pain we keep finding Power! From this dark storm we keep finding great Faith that will serve us well the rest of our days. Thank you to so many of you who keep praying us through this season of our lives. Please, please keep praying. This is a testimony of your prayers and Faith. We sincerely appreciate everyone of you. He performs wonders that cannot be fathomed, miracles that cannot be counted. I’ve been taking a break from IG to grieve and to take some time to process all that we have been through during our second round of IVF!
I’d first like to say thank you to all of you who commented about our loss, or who reached out to me via DM, text or phone calls! The love and support we have felt throughout this process has been amazing and is so appreciated. Our hearts are broken and I’m still trying to put all the pieces back together but we know God has a plan for us and our story isn’t over yet. Reflecting on our last cycle, I’ve been trying to find the positives despite the heartache that came from it and we have a lot to be thankful for even though the outcome wasn’t what we hoped for. And each time we go through the process, we are actually learning something new about why it’s been so difficult or impossible for us to get pregnant naturally. Things you can’t test for, things we would not have known had we not taken the plunge to go through IVF in the first place. And for that I am grateful.
We’ve taken time to discuss our options and possible next steps (which I’ll share at a later time) as well as met with our doctor to get his take on what happened and what options he thinks we have as well. We are still going through a healing process and the pain of all we have lost is still strong but we haven’t lost hope and we trust that God has a purpose for our pain and we have faith in His plan for us.
We appreciate the prayers and positive thoughts and thank you for following our journey...we aren’t giving up!! ❤️

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless means enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. 1 Chronicles 4:10
·
Few of us want to remain where we are without any improvement or increase. God has wired us to want to grow. But what kind of growth are we looking for? We have to be careful to focus on what's really important and within our control, rather than external results we can't really control.
·
My goals are usually qualitative, not quantitative. When I coached, my aim each season was not to win a certain number of games, but to have a team that played as well as it could and that was an asset to its community. I measured the team by whether it played up to its potential. And from year to year, I measured it by whether it improved.
·
That's also how I measure myself. When I was a young assistant, I wanted to learn enough to one day be considered for a coordinator position. Then as a coordinator, I wanted to learn and improve so I could become a head coach. Sometimes our goals are a steady step-by-step progression, and sometimes they require risk. Whenever we ask God to enlarge our territories, we need faith to move to the next level. That always comes with the possibility of failure, although we can trust Him to be with us either to help us get there or to catch us when we fall. Over time, those steps of faith pay off. We grow and improve and reach higher goals.
·
Remember to focus on goals that are within your control. As a coach, I worked on learning more and improving my coaching abilities in order to be qualified for positions with greater responsibility. I couldn't control whether I would be hired for those positions. When you do your part to prepare, you can trust God for the results. In His timing, He's the one who enlarges your territory. Your job is to make yourself ready for it.
·
Uncommon Key > A little improvement each day makes a big difference over time. Ask God typo enlarge your territory, but prepare yourself along the way to handle it well.

We want to know God, feel his presence, & trust that he hears our prayers, but in the midst of great pain, we may wonder if he really cares about us.
Even when we have both hope and hurt, sometimes it’s the hurt that shouts the loudest. Can God be good when life is not?
In Hope in the Dark, Groeschel explores the story of the father who brought his demon-possessed son to Jesus, saying, “I believe! Help my unbelief!” In the man’s sincere plea, Jesus heard the tension in the man’s battle-scarred heart.
He healed not only the boy but the father too, driving out the hopelessness that had overtaken him.
He can do the same for us today.
As Groeschel shares his pain surrounding the current health challenges of his daughter, he acknowledges the questions we may ask in our own deepest pain: “Where was God when I was being abused?” “Why was my child born with a disability?” “Why did the cancer come back?” “Why are all my friends married and I’m alone?” He invites us to wrestle with such questions as we ask God to honor our faith & heal our unbelief.
In the middle of your profound pain, you long for authentic words of understanding & hope. You long to know that even in overwhelming reality, you can still believe that God is good. Rediscover a faith in the character, power, & presence of God. Even in the questions. Even now.

Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. John 15:13-16 NKJV

Blessed Good Friday! Today we remember what Jesus did at the cross when he suffered, bled and died for our sakes. Let us never make light of the pain he went through so that we might have this access to God, so that we might draw close to him and cry out “Father!” whenever we need to. Aren’t you so thankful for Jesus?

Today I experienced Easter in a way that I never have before. In 30 years, the cross has never meant more to me than it does right now. From the ashes of defeat
The resurrected King, is resurrecting me” People say we’re brave to be walking through this and still have faith... we’re not brave... we have nothing else to cling to but our faith....and there is such beauty in that. I have heard people without faith say that when hard times strike, they will just have to become stronger, fight harder.... but what about when you can’t do anything...what about when no amount of money or good friends or family can fix what is happening to you?! Some people don’t have an answer to that but I do. The answer is the cross. Jesus took on the weight of all that is wrong in the world... the sin... my brokenness... yours... all the crap that made it impossible for us to have a connection with a Holy God... and He made a way. When he died on the cross, he not only took on the sin of the world, he also took away the fear of death. We have the hope of heaven because of the cross. I have the hope of heaven for my baby. I also find comfort in the fact that Jesus experienced pain... he begged God to take away his situation. He pleaded and sweated blood in the garden because he was so stressed. I may not be sweating blood but I know what it’s like to cry out to God for a different story. Right now I’m still in the garden... I’m still anxious and anticipating the worst that is to come.... but praise God that he didn’t change the story of the cross just because of Jesus’s pain in the garden. Our baby boy can’t save the world like the son of
God but his story can make a way for a lot of people to hear the gospel and that is the ONLY redeeming part of our story. No parent should endure this... but because of Easter, because of the hope of heaven and the fact that Jesus knows our pain and God is sovereign, we can still rejoice. “By your spirit I will rise from the ashes of defeat... the resurrected king is resurrecting me”. Ultimately, that’s all any of us have to cling to. Praise God for hope. ❤️ #jamesmichaelalsop

❤️
The year my spiritual life transformed. I experienced the true peace of the universe, and what it means to know God.
❤️
The year my physical body transformed. I have found vitality, my real body, and my strength.
❤️
The year my work life transformed. I put down the low self esteem, wild ego, the pain, the overthinking. And just started writing. It’s working. I thought it was over, I was too old. Not good enough. But that was not my story.
❤️
God willing it’s the last year I will touch drugs or alcohol. I simply cannot express the gratitude I owe to my recovery community. I don’t think I’d be here without it.
❤️
The year friendship flooded my life and drowned me in love. You know who you are. You have changed my life. It’s my honour to walk bedside you.
🙏🏼
It’s not all “good”.
🙏🏼
My finances are a mess. I’ve been running from them for a long time. I’m digging into them in 2019. Saving my company from bankruptcy and setting things right. We don’t talk about financial struggles enough on social media, and that is part of my story.
🙏🏼
My love life is a mess. I didn’t know love until it was too late. My pain and my pattern lost me the greatest love I have known. But that will never happen again.
💫
I walk into 2019 knowing TRANSFORMATION is possible.
💫
I want to grow in my spirituality, sobriety, and physical health. And I want to invest seriously to transform my experience of love and my finances.
💫
I also want to use all my mistakes to help you.
💫
I want YOU to know your identity. To claim your power. To stop old patterns, and walk in peace.
💫
I am right beside you. Fighting. And I swear to you... light will prevail.

I don’t always experience God as others do or at least how I think we are supposed to experience Him. I tend to let my pain rule my life and not the Holy Spirit. I think this is part of why I have fallen down so many times and been going around in circles. I’ve given up so many times and turned my back on God. Why? Because I thought I couldn’t hear His voice and that made me feel less worthy of His love. I felt like I wasn’t getting the healing I supposed to, because things were getting worse rather then better. When in fact I was starting to receive healing already, because a healing process was never meant to be easy. Sometimes its hard to believe things are truly changing, because we tend to look at the natural and not the supernatural as God sees it. Thats why we have to have faith to see what we cannot see yet, to feel what we have not felt yet and to hear what we have not heard yet. God is not alway going to speak to you in a natural voice in your bedroom, He can, but it’s not always the case. Sometimes God can speak to you through people, signs, victories and even hardship. We just need to be open to it. I was blind for too long, until I started asking and crying out to Him to give me the eyes and heart to see what I can’t see. If you are reading this, then this is my prayer to you, that God opens your eyes and heart and He makes you’re faith stronger everyday. In Jesus name. 🙏🏼

We all cry. We all weep. We all suffer. We all mourn.
.
There is a verse in the Bible that offers hope for people who are upset or mourning, which says that God will “wipe away every tear.” While this verse points to this happening some time in the future, I believe we can also find hope in the present by knowing that even Jesus cried. When his friend Lazarus died, the writers of the gospels mention that Jesus wept—even though he knew he was about to raise Lazarus back to life. The story describes how Jesus felt the pain of the people around him and he cried with them. While he knew he was about to do something miraculous in the painful situation, Jesus still experienced the pain alongside his followers.

I’m sure there are people reading these words today who woke up with burdens, pain, loss and stress. Whatever you’re facing today, my hope is that you would find hope in knowing that Jesus understands your pain, and has a purpose for it. As CS Lewis wrote; “hardships often prepare ordinary people for an extraordinary destiny”. Or in the words of author and pastor @levilusko, “suffering isn’t an obstacle to being used by God. It is an opportunity to be used like never before.” This has certainly been true in my own life.
I believe that whatever you’re facing today—whatever is causing your tears—God will use it to prepare you for something extraordinary.

"He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever." — Revelation 21:4

Especially around the end of the year with holidays around the corner, end of year exams, work, etc. and I'm sure that all this brings lots of stress, worry and anxiety for many. It's usually because we feel we need to be in control of everything. We feel that everything needs to be "fixed" or "figured out" at this very moment or as soon as possible. But dear friends, I'm here to tell you that you don't have to figure it all out now and especially not alone. Don't you know that there is someone who awaits for you to come to Him and bring along your worries and situations? Have we forgotten that God- the creator of the universe, the one who holds the entire world, YOU in his hands see's your situation and is ready to take away your burden? Scripture states to cast your burdens on the lord, and he shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.- psalms 55:22. God will never let you fall or be shaken because he cares for you and he has a greater purpose for all. Your life doesn't have to be figured out right now because it HAS ALREADY been figured out by God and in His right timing, those parts of your life will be revealed to you. Your pain and struggles will makes more sense and because of your faith in God, in his plan, in his promise that he's in control, God will reward you and you will be showered with blessings far from what you can imagine. It's all for a greater purpose unknown to man. Sometimes God puts us in situations that feel out of control to teach us that He is in control. Praise God for that. I hope that brings you peace and comfort and helps you see you do not need to have everything figured out. It will be all done in the right time. Pray for guidance, trust God to work in your life and His beautiful masterpiece of your life will unfold. Blessings!

As big as my smile is today, last night some things weighed so heavily on my spirit that I practically cried myself to sleep. What caused the turnaround?? Knowing that the God I serve has a divine plan for everything we endure—the good & bad. You see, life will always throw you curveballs that’ll test the limits of your spirit, mind, body & faith. My tears last night were caused by knowing that several of my friends are facing tough battles right now—hardships that are causing them a great deal of suffering mentally, physically & financially. But I know that this is something we can’t avoid, it’s a part of the human experience that will never cease. Being scared, hurt and in pain happens to us all. So as I prayed for each of them last night, sobbing into my hotel bedsheets, God came and comforted me. He reminded me of something I’ve always known, but sometimes allow the enemy to make me forget. And that is this truth...GOD IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDINGLY AND ABUNDANTLY. His promise to protect us, guide us through darkness and produce miracles before our eyes is something I cannot argue because I’ve watched Him do it over and over in my own life. So today, I smile big. Those tears were justified. I truly love people and hate to see anyone hurting. But it’s important to not cry for too long..that’s where fear and doubt gain power. This smile though, is one produced by incredible faith. I’m choosing to lean on His promise and walk by that alone...not by what I actually see out front. So to my friends who are going through some tough stuff, and anyone reading this that are also in a battle right now: I’m praying for an overflow of peace, healing, prosperity and love to pour into your lives. I command fear, suicidal thoughts, anxiety, confusion, pain, sickness, addiction, depression and the spirit of unforgiveness to be released forevermore. Amen ❤️ Before you go to bed tonight, take a few minutes to find a quiet place and just talk to God. We assume he knows what’s going on (He does), but He also simply yearns to hear us ask. So tell Him what you need. Then have the faith to take your hands off the wheel. It’s His job to drive you to your destination. So let Him :)

I truly believe with My constant faith and prayers and trust In God this is going to be a good rest of year! I believe It will be a time of birthing God's promises for us. It will be a time of recovery as we experience the harvest of our labor and a time of fruitfulness as we experience God's goodness. But in the process, we may also experience some warfare. I am going through it daily so I share your pain but Don't let the enemy get to you. Don't give up before you get to the open door God has for you...my friends
Let’s be expectant in the GOOD coming our way. Stay in prayer and connected to people of God daily, read your bible as your day starts and best fear and stay in faith,

My friends
We're in a very interesting season of transition in the world today. It may take every ounce of faith and patience you can muster to make it through. Many are cracking under the pressure. Don't let that be you. I have opened my eyes and realize I need to stay in prayer and constant presence of God. I must stay in the Bible and open my carnal eyes not just worldly living. See
All around us we see strife, division, anger, and debate. We can't even turn on the TV to get a break. You can be watching a program to be entertained and help you get your mind off things, and the world and its problems slams you in the face there too. Everyone thinks they have to chime in and have their agenda be heard. Everyone has a problem and a motive, the world is busy and chaotic
It will be crucial to press in and know the time and season each of us as well as the world is in." If you are trying to accomplish what God has spoken to your heart, you'll need to put on the whole armor of God. Don't let the toxic talk of others destroy your vision. You must rely on and trust God more than ever. If He told you so

When women encourage, and genuinely support one another, incredible things happen

“The pain of emotional rejection is one of the worst kinds of pain a person can feel. When a person feels he has been rejected, there is intense emotional pain! It hurts!
We build many elaborate defense systems to protect our emotions from the pain of rejection. Self-made walls are one such defense system. We put up an invisible (but real) wall between us and anyone who might be able to hurt us.
God doesn’t want you to live that way. You need to say, “I’m going to walk out of this place today in faith! I’m being brave! I’m tearing my walls down by faith !
God is going to raise you up and lift you out of this thing. Just keep believing and trusting Him.” 📚 book : Root of Rejection by Joyce Meyer

1 John 4:4
“My dear children, you come from God and belong to God. You have already won a big victory , for the Spirit in you is far stronger than anything in the world.”

The second resolution: Choose short-term pain for long-term gain. The third resolution: Choose God’s values, not the world’s. And the fourth resolution Moses made: He chose to live by faith rather than by fear. You’re going to face the same choice, too: Either you’re going to live by faith or you’re going to live by fear. Moses went to the most powerful man in the world and said, “You know those slaves that are building all your pyramids? I’m taking them, and we’re all leaving. You’re not going to have slave labor anymore. Let my people go.”
Moses had every reason to be afraid. He was going up against the most powerful man on the planet at that point. Pharaoh in those days was considered a god, and whatever Pharaoh said, you had to do. What he said was the law. And here comes Moses who says, “We aren’t going to do what you say anymore. I’m not afraid of you because I report to a higher authority.” It took some guts to do that! Do you want the same kind of faith in your life so that you can overcome your fear? The closer you get to God, the more you’re going to be filled with faith. The further away you get from God, the more you’re going to be filled with fear. I cannot overemphasize the importance of faith for the rest of your life. The Bible says that whatever is not of faith is sin. How many times did you sin this week? A lot. So did I. Because anything I did that wasn’t done in faith but was done in doubt was a sin. The Bible also says that without faith it is impossible to please God. How many times did you please God this week? Do you want something to change in your life? Stop complaining and start believing. God is not moved by complaints. God is moved by faith: “According to your faith let it be done to you” (Matthew 9:29 NIV). You get to choose what he does in your life. Here’s the key: What matters is not the size of your faith but the size of the God you put it in. A little faith in a big God gets big results!

I learned that there are no shortcuts to maturity. The development of Christlike character cannot be rushed. It’s not so much about how fast we grow, but rather about how strong we grow. Today we’re obsessed with speed, but God is more interested in strength and stability than swiftness. We want a quick sermon, seminar or an experience that will instantly resolve all problems and release us from all growing pains. But really maturity is never the result of a single experience, no matter how powerful it is. Growth is gradual. And the truth about growth is that it is often painful. There is no growth without change. There is no change without fear or loss, and there is no loss without pain. Every change involves a loss of some kind. You must let go of old ways in order to experience the new.  And that’s been the focus of my journey this year. Somewhere in the midst of this roller-coaster of a journey, the difficult and frustrating road bumps, the inevitable brokenness, unpredicted pains of life, a beautiful process of pruning took place. ◌ ◌
Ive learned that no matter how far in this journey you’ve come, God will allow you to make certain mistakes, torrents will still rise to test you, your strength and everything around you will purposely fail you so that all you’ve got left is your faith, your trust in His infallible Word and promises... just to make you grow! But that’s the very beauty about God- His ability to change people, seasons, circumstances, and everything else around us with the goal of revealing a new façade of who He is for our beneficial growth, yet while remaining the very same Faithful, Patient, loving and unchangeable God. I did not encounter a new God. He is the same’old Vinedresser that loves to change people so that when He pours new wine, we can handle it. New cannot go with the old as new wine cannot go with old wineskin. New wine will require new sacrifices, new habits, new disciplines and most importantly a new heart. Everyday. But our focus must remain on the purpose and not the pain. ◌

Dear Vinedresser and 2018, merci. Cheers to the season of fruitful harvest awaiting in 2019... 🍇🍎🍐🍉🍊🍓

I went to church where the message happened to be about suffering & how to respond to those who reject God because of the existence of suffering. The guest speaker responded to the common question, “If God exists why does he allow suffering & not put an end to evil?” Then we learned that a senior pastor of the church right next to ours had committed suicide which shocked our whole congregation. You wouldn’t think a pastor would ever do that right? Then later after service I was in my car & I heard about the Jacksonville shooting & listened to the audio. It was distressing & just sad. All while texting someone I had been mad at. Then later on that evening I watched the film, “Silence,” which is about Portuguese priest who went to Japan to spread the gospel during a time of persecution. The film depicts the faith of Japanese people who chose Jesus & were tortured at an unbearable level all because of their faith. The only way it would end is if they stepped on the face of Jesus & renounced the faith. This film brought everything I learned yesterday together. It made me look at my own anger I had toward this person as pretty stupid & called my own love into question. It also made me look at suffering & pain differently. I learned that God is most real in our suffering & that MAN is responsible for the pain & suffering in this world. God has shown his MERCY in allowing evil to persist because if he does away with evil right now it would mean we would all perish with it. He allows pain & suffering so man can come to repentance & more souls can be saved, but he assures us that he will rid us of pain, sorrow & wipe away our tears. Finally, God uses suffering for glory. When Jesus died on the cross he suffered for our sins, was tortured, & ripped apart, but there was glory in the end. He rose from the dead & conquered sin for the salvation of the world. Pain is the hardest way to understand God, but pain is the only way to truly know him.

By then we all have felt great pain, had our faith tested, touched tragedy in some way or another. It can bury us or it can make us better. To feel like I’ve learned from it all makes me grateful. I feel like this is the point where I have sure footing. I will still make mistakes, question, and need to do better—but the main things I have down. Grateful, grateful, grateful for that, and for God’s good love and mercy. 💓

A lot of people very close to me, including myself, have been experiencing some lows in the recent months-- heartbreak, depression, near misses, lack of purpose, change, physical pain and sickness, and the list goes on.

As I sit here and watch the rain fall, I anticipate the life that is to come for us all in the spring months. Life for the plants, the birds, the animals, and life for us. Where lows exist, may we keep faith and hope that highs will follow, as we already see that happening in the planet around us! Thank you GOD for earth and its seasons, as they have so much to share. And also for my humans to do this whole thing with.

In the same light, I must add that my roommate @kamkilla_23 is currently with her family in Utah, surrounding her brother as they watch her stem cells enter his body in hopes of kicking cancer's butt. Please pray for new life in his body and HEALING for the entire Deeb family!! 🙏🏼 #cancersucks

It’s almost the end of Holy Week, today being Good Friday. The thought of what Jesus did for me and you is amazing to think about, I mean really think about.
I don’t deserve His love, grace, or mercy yet He gives it to me freely. I don’t trust Him fully at times but He still loves me. { I just finished a book on Saint Kateri Tekawitha, the first Native American Saint. The way she loved the Lord while she was on earth is inspiring. In one of her prayers she said, “If Iowerano ( her Mohawk uncle who hated Christians) wants me dead because I have accepted the Christian faith, then I will give my life for the one true God.” How beautiful. To think she could even pray that!! Let’s be honest, I don’t know if I could.
I aspire to be like Kateri and her amazing courage and dedication to serving and loving the Lord. }

If it wasn’t for Jesus dying on that cross, going through all that pain, we wouldn’t have a chance to be with Him forever.
Praise be to God and Happy Good Friday ❤️

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
.............................................................................................
..........................................,..........................
My entire life I have struggled with “fitting in”. I’m not perfect, I’m not the most muscular or have the perfect life or look, I’m human. I make mistakes, I’m direct and straight forward in my approach to life, which can perceived as harsh, but I’m honest and I’m loyal. Typical #saggitarius . But because I know myself I accept it and try my hardest to do what I can.

If you have ever struggled, I hope you’ll keep this in mind.
........................................................................................... As written by Sue Patton Thorpe......... “I have the courage to be myself. I speak and act in authentic ways. I trust I am capable.” The greatest risk we take, one which is often painful and requires great courage, is to relate to others- especially our children.
Through example of courageously learning how to be and express our true selves, we encourage others to be who they genuinely are.

Each risk we take, each pain we heel inner dragon, we take widens the path to freedoms for others to follow, and gives us increased confidence in our ability to lead authentic lives. With each risk we have the courage to take, we make it easier for ourselves, our daughters, friends, and mothers to summon the courage to risk being themselves. 💙💙🙌🏻💙💙🙌🏻💙💙🙌🏻💙💙🙌🏻💙

To the woman holding only a memory of a heartbeat, we see you.
To the woman staring at a gravestone, we see you.

We see your bravery every time you smile and every time you get out of bed and every time you hold a baby that isn’t yours and every time you give the honest answer about how many children you have. We see your sacrifice when you show up to church or to work or to your best friend’s baby shower even though it hurts like hell. Just a little update as to how I am feeling.....well the cold/flu I had knocked me on my butt the last week or so beyond what I've been used to in getting sick like normal people (but I feel better from that). When I say being sick like normal people I just mean I deal daily with an invisible illness being sick in my own way dealing with the symptoms from it in ways that nobody can see. I may look fine on the outside but it's what y'all don't see is what I deal with. It's draining and it takes its jabs at my physical and mental health. I have no choice or option BUT to remain together and strong as I can possibly can. I really hate being knocked down below being 💯% of myself and all that I set out to do in my life. My goals, visions and dreams are big but the struggle is real when trying to fight just to stay afloat with what's in front of me. BUT I REFUSE TO GIVE UP and I'm still here standing and breathing life and as long as God keeps giving me another day it's still another opportunity to try and do my best. I believe with all my heart that none of this is a set back but a SET UP for great things to come. Everyday is a blessing and a gift right here, right now and I know there is more to come. We can not have pleasure without pain they both go hand and hand. So whatever life has thrown at you, face it, embrace it and push thru and grow from it. It will all be worth it.
God bless y'all

How do we reconcile faith, hope and love with doubt, pain, and heart-break? Are we supposed to feel one and not the other? Are they exclusive? Do they work in tandem? There is a tension here, and real life is full of it. Hope can be deferred. Hope can be everlasting. And God is present with us there in the middle of it all. My brand new single HOPE IS PRECIOUS is out today, and it's a deep dive into that tension. And I couldn't have captured it this way without my incredibly talented friends! It's produced and mixed by @jeremy_sh_griffith, mastered by @sunbears, with photography and design by @mattjonesdp. I hope it speaks to your heart as you listen just like it spoke to mine as I wrote it. It's available everywhere NOW! LET'S TELL EVERYBODY!!! 🖤 #hopeisprecious #newsingle

Everything we want, need, desire, & deserve is obtainable we just have to get the discipline, focus, & faith to put in the work! We have to leave doubt, worry, & insecurities in their resting place. Not being able to finish school does not mean that you can't be resourceful & make a way to enroll for the next semester (I Did It: TWICE)! Becoming a mother does not mean it's over (I graduated from Morgan State University with my oldest son on my hip after struggling with his stroller on campus trying my darndest to make it to classes). Heartbreak does not mean someone is not being prepared for or that you're condemned to loneliness. Remember: "A Real Queen Will Always Turn Pain, Into Power!" Go through your healing process, but don't dwell in that place for too long and then put your best foot forward. (I thought my life had no meaning after being heartbroken MULTIPLE TIMES by the same person but look at me breathing & living & surviving & what not)!

I will constantly remind you as I had to remind myself: "FAITH WITHOUT WORK IS DEAD!" Put in the work to chase after what the enemy told you wasn't possible. Baby, God didn't give you visions, dreams, & desires in your heart for nothing. Someone is waiting on you!🤞🏽🙏🏽💪🏽💅🏽👑💖😘
