This boy of mine is completely in love with this sport. Just recently he’s been starting as quarterback for his flag football team. The athlete in me loves absolutely this, but the mama-bear in me constantly questions, “but why football?!” Of all sports (and my research & understanding of brain injuries), I so badly want him to fall in love with another sport. Or better yet- dream of becoming a sports commentator 😬 But I can’t seem to deny him of this passion to play football. Any other mamas out there feel me? So for now, flag football it is. Tackle- now way Jose! And you better believe I’m having him try every other sport, especially the real “Fútbol” ⚽️ in hopes he’ll play like his Abuelito Jose. Hey it’s in his 🇨🇴 genes 😬 #mylittlefootballplayer #mamathoughts #maybetheworldcupwillconvincehim #vamoscolombia

Yousef just received a full football scholarship to play football for the Army West Point Black Knights this upcoming fall. He was All League this past football season, he played on my 7on7 team last year and he also played outstanding for our Liberty Falcons football team. He has work very hard to get every accolade that he has earned. He is one the hardest working athletes that I have coached. I can’t wait to see him dominate at the next level. Keep up the great work Yousef.

I remember cradling this little bundle of joy in my hands like a football...he was all cute and cuddly - and to this day until we're both senior citizens you'll still be my big munchkin. As you step into official middle school, know that I will be here to support you through all your work and life choices you will be faced with.
I also am very impressed how you made the track of this video montage with your cousin (1.) because it's clear that you didn't spend all your time swiping my laptop just to play mindcraft but to use garage band (2.) because you made a dope house beat even though i figured you could've defaulted to a trap beat 😝

I'm also proud that you hung in there despite worrying if you'd fit in with older kids and having to wait your turn to play because they have more experience...you walked by faith and stayed the course to meet your goal of playing tight end with (and even better than) those big boys. all that while getting on the honor roll. keep on (honor) rollin...Here is to you as you begin your 11th trip around the sun...with the Son (and bday s/o to lil Nigel) #bdayblessings #happybirthday #walkbyfaith #flashbackfriday #littleleo #heartofalion🤗🤝🏋️‍♂️💪👐🙌🙏👏

‪Willian when asked if he would be at Chelsea with Conte still at the helm, he replied: “No chance. No. I’m here because I want to play for Chelsea. I will only leave if Chelsea want me to go.”‬
.
Willian: “I think we have a good chance to turn the results around against Arsenal because now we've a different way to playing. Sarri tells us to play, to enjoy ourselves on the pitch, with responsibility. Now we've a different style, that’s why we can create problems for them"
.
Willian: “Is it fun to play this way? I think so. We have a lot of players with quality up front, like Eden Hazard and Pedro. Players like that want to play football.”
.
Willian ”That’s why Sarri talked about ‘fun’ football on arriving at Chelsea. This is what we will try to do this season"
.
Willian: "Is this like Brazil’s Samba style? Yes. This is what we do in Brazil and are trying to do here, playing with skill and movement.”

Willian: “Of course, it will be a special game against Arsenal because it is a derby. It is always difficult against them. We have to prepare well"

Today I asked my Doctor for an epidural so I can stay awake and watch my surgery (hence the anesthesiologist behind me sticking the needle in my back), the Doctor told me prior to the surgery that he will try to fix both menisci, but I had a gut feeling that the situation might be a bit more serious, and surely enough the Doctor looked me in my eyes 5 minutes into the surgery and told me "your knee is fucked badly, I'll try to fix whatever I can but it wont be enough for you to play competitively". I was then notified that the meniscus was entirely ruptured from its root, ACL was ruptured as well for the second time now, and there was some broken bone that I never even knew of.
After the Doctor told me what was exactly going on with my knee, I looked up to God, thanked him, giggled, then looked back at the Doctor and said "I would repeat this journey a million times if I were able to"
My mum forced me to play football when I was 3 years old due to speech problems, who would've ever known that the therapy for my speech difficulties would become my life and joy for the next 18 years of my life. I have literally shed blood sweat and tears for the love of the game. Now its time for a new chapter in my life inshallah. A special thanks to everyone that reached out, it means the world.

B4 Wayne made niggas want dreads, I wanted my hair hangin’ out my helmet cuz of Rick (unfortunately for me, someone wasn’t having it — @dcjfen). It wasn’t til after I was done playing, that I realized I related to him more than I knew — the more ppl that tried to paint him a certain way, the more I felt his urge to get away from it all.. and thats what he did. I did the same b4 and now this soundbite rings off more than ever. Heard sumn the other day that could only make me shake my head; pls keep talking to everyone else but me, about me — trust & believe, u only building me up & not cuz u rooting 4 me to win, but because u rooting 4 me to lose. Either way I’m gon take that energy and fix it up some 😇

I called him to go work out and he explained to me the coaches wanted his strength and his bench press to get better. He told me his max was 185.He has a messed up rotator cuff like me and come to find out while working out with him his form was wrong. It was straining his shoulder. After making the adjustment he was able to bench 225 twice and almost lifted 275. He decided that he was reinspired to play football and fo for his scholarship. That was great, but the real thing that im proud of is that he has been maintaining a 3.5 Gpa as a student athlete at Trinity Valley.
I need yall to show him some love and follow him. @chasinggreatnesss_

That statement came from a man with a huge influence in football, the late Johan Cruyff. It isn't a surprise that Barcelona had their glory days back in 2008-2010 because He (Messi) was a big part of the success. He even collected 5 ballon d'ors (the most ever player to collect the reward). .
Back in 2014 ESPN had a very rare chance of interviewing Messi himself. He was asked "Why do you say it doesn't matter to you going down to history as the greatest player ever?" and he replied "Because the only thing that matters is playing." He added, "I always say that when I no longer enjoy it, or it's no longer fun to play, then I won't do it anymore. I do it because I love it, and that's all I care about."
.
He is about to extend his contract with Barcelona for 3 or 4 more years. He's 30 now, will he play when he's 35? We don't know. But in the time being we should be grateful of what he is and all the joy that he has brought to football. While the others dream of his success, achievements, popularity even his bucket full of cash, the only thing that matters to the greatest player ever is having fun with the ball at his feet. Thank God Messi exists. #messi30

Lionel Andrés Messi was born on June 24, 1987 in the city of Rosario, Argentina. Everyone knows him now as the best football player in the world. In fact, a lot of people say he might become the greatest player ever. We’ll see about that at the World Cup. Messi is FIFA World Player of the Year. He also helped his club team Barcelona win the European Champions League and the World Club Championship.

Messi grew up playing football. He joined his first club when he was five. At the age of eight, he signed up for the famous Newell's Old Boys' youth team. His career nearly ended when doctors found out he suffered from a growth hormone deficiency. Luckily, agents from Barcelona saw his talent and in 2000, he moved to Spain. The Catalan club paid for his medical treatment and coached him until he made his Barcelona debut.

Lionel started breaking records as soon as he played his first game for Barcelona in the 2004-05 season. He became the youngest footballer ever to play a La Liga game and the youngest to score a goal. He helped his team win the league in his first season, and the league and Champions League double in the following season. In the 2008-09 season he scored an impressive 38 goals as Barcelona won the treble.

Messi has an amazing career ahead of him. He is set to shine in South Africa. Many football experts compare him to the legendary Pele and Maradona. This World Cup could be the stage for him to show people he really is the best. His skills on the ball, ability to get past defenders and his goal-scoring are breathtaking. Top soccer coach Arsene Wenger said Messi is “like a PlayStation. He takes advantage of every mistake teams make”. Because this is Messi ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ #messi #barca #barcelona #fcb #leomessi #football #soccer #respect #messiisbest

You graduated high school in 2011. Your teenage years were a
struggle.. You grew up on the wrong side of the tracks. Your mother
was the leader of the family and worked tirelessly to keep a roof
over your head and food on your plate. Academics were a struggle for
you and your grades were mediocre at best. The only thing that made
you stand out is you weighed 225 lbs and could run 40 yards in 4.2
seconds while carrying a football. Your best friend was just like
you, except he didn’t play football. Instead of going to football
practice after school, he went to work at McDonalds for minimum
wage. You were recruited by all the big colleges and spent every
weekend of your senior year making visits to universities where
coaches and boosters tried to convince you their school was best.
They laid out the red carpet for you. Your best friend worked double
shifts at Mickey D’s. College was not an option for him. On the
day you signed with Big State University, your best friend signed
paperwork with his Army recruiter. You went to summer workouts. He
went to basic training.

You spent the next four years living in the athletic dorm, eating at
the training table. You spent your Saturdays on the football field,
cheered on by adoring fans. Tutors attended to your every academic
need. You attended class when you felt like it. Sure, you worked
hard. You lifted weights, ran sprints, studied plays, and soon
became one of the top football players in the country. Your best
friend was assigned to the 101st Airborne Division. While you were
in college, he deployed to Iraq once and Afghanistan twice. He
became a Sergeant and led a squad of 19 year old soldiers who grew
up just like he did.. He shed his blood in Afghanistan and watched
young American's give their lives, limbs, and innocence for the USA.

You went to the NFL combine and scored off the charts. You hired an
agent and waited for draft day. You were drafted in the first round
and your agent immediately went to work, ensuring that you received
the most money possible. You signed for $16 million although you had
never played a single down of professional football. Your

So people are saying this was his plan all a long to lose his dream job which he COULD still play so he could “possibly” get less money than an NFL contract is dumb. Kaep could’ve have easily tucked his tail made millions on the football field and get a contract from Nike as well but he lost that plus gave up a million of his own personal funds. So he did that in order to get a potential deal from Nike, 🤔 NAW. Makes no sense! 👊🏾 Salute to Nike for giving him the opportunity. The right wingers are going crazy over this so folks go buy some @Nike stock cause that fake outrage lasts only so long then their kids expect those kicks under the Christmas tree.

These photos were taken in the early 1980s by our dad who was, and still is, a very keen photographer.
.
It was through our dad that my love of photography began; he bought me my first film camera when I was about 13 or 14, an Olympus OM-10, and he’s probably the reason I am now a photographer for a living.
.
I have clear memories of our childhood trips to the coast. This will be Mablethorpe, Cleethorpes or Ingoldmells. They probably haven’t changed that much since the early 80s, but that’s just a guess — I’ve not been back there since then.
.
The second photo was taken in our parents’ back garden, a garden which my mum still tends. More than 35 years later, my young nephews run around and play football and have their photos taken in the same spot, by the 🌸🌼🌷

Had an inspiring conversation with an Italian taxi driver otw to Axel Vervoodt gallery this past weekend in Antwerp. He is a civil engineer grad, used to play football professionally, but had 3 injuries so he can no longer play. He said he used to ponder why it had to happen to him, but now that he’s older, he realized that this is life, things just happen.
-
He didn’t let the physical injuries prevent him from doing what he loves. He’s been coaching football and plans to become a professional football coach when he moves back to Italy :)
-
This is probably gonna sound a lil cheesy, but his story reminded me that in our lives things will go wrong, but as long as we don’t give up, there’s always a way to pursue what we’re truly passionate about.
-
I hope I’ll get to see him on TV one day and think to myself “this guy drove me in Antwerp!”😊

He wants to play more even though it was a very tough decision for him! He wants to live a great end of this season with the club and hopes for a Europa League title! He always wanted to stop at Atleti but he also wants to play football for more years..the club said he could stay as long as he wants but we all know he doesn’t want to sit on the bench only..
It’s heartbreaking to see him leave again and it’s not sure where he will be going..
I hope he has a great time with the club in these last weeks!!! We are always behind you and wish nothing less for you than to win the title❤️ @fernandotorres #fernandotorres #torres #atleticodemadrid #sad #heartbroken

My cousin Rutrina Branson inboxed me one picture and it was a screenshot, so I seen where she got the picture from and I visit the page and seen all of this good stuff. It was a emotional but happy time for me! I miss my Dad with all my heart and soul! If anyone knows me they know that I am truly a Daddy's girl! I remember years ago I was working a detail and I met this older guy that told me he was from Waterproof,LA and I mentioned to him that my parents was from Gilbert and Sicily Island. He said I used to play football and we played Sicily Island but we use to say we're "Playing Stonewall Jackson team," I said really?!?! Thanks my Dad! He said well your Dad use to come whoop us in football and take all our women! I called my Dad and all he could do was laugh. That did my body some good to know that my Dad had some major skills and he came with so much Clout and Greatness! And to see proof and to hear Greatness of God' s given talent is Amazing! I didn't know how much I really missed him until yesterday! I broke down like a baby! With that being said, my advice is that if you have parents that are still alive..... Do what God ask of you concerning them, Love them, Respect them, Do right by them, Obey them, Cherish moments with them, Spent time with them, Never take them and or their Love for Granted, and Love them all over again! I love and miss you Dad!💗😘😍💗😍😘

This one is extra special because we have a new hire we want to introduce to you all, our friend Jimmy Reedy! He is originally from Tampa, but recently came to us from Michigan. His all time favorite thing to do is go to the movies, and he will absolutely need the movie theater popcorn with extra butter. Dry humor is his favorite, and he used to play and coach football! He taught himself how to play music; guitar and keys, but was developed in his craft more when he was a student at @oceansedge! He is also a killer vocalist and worship leader! His heart is for people over playing music always, and he is gifted in developing people into who God is calling them to be. He is the most attentive and empowering Dad and husband to @mrsfoxreedy. And, he has the widest variety of musical taste but his go-to for listening is anything that "feels good"! We love you Jimmy, and we are so excited and proud to welcome you to our family!

It's pretty self explanatory when a Quarterback earns the name "Gunslinger". Brett Favre was exactly that and made a career of it. When he wasn't rocking a mean pair of Wrangler jeans, he was out on the field showing his elite arm strength in heroic fashion. This wasn't a player known for being conservative. With high risk comes high reward and Favre became a fan favourite through his seemingly miraculous play. While sometimes it would be to his determent as seen with his 3.3% interception ratio, Favre has a highlight reel full of throws that "shouldn't have been thrown". Brett Favre was an ironman breaking the record for consecutive starts with 297. This was a man born to play football and i'd argue he was the most naturally gifted thrower ever. He was no surgeon by any means when in comparison to play callers like Brady or Manning, but Brett Favre's talent and body of work speak for themselves and he is without a doubt a top 10 Quarterback in NFL history. #nfl #nfltop10 #brettfavre #greenbaypackers #gbpackers #packers #packersnation #packernation #aaronrodgers #davanteadams #jimmygraham #jamaalwilliams #aaronjones #tymontgomery #claymathews

Pep Guardiola believes Jorginho would have made a ‘mistake’ by not joining Chelsea - &insisted Man City are still fighting for an alternative. City missed out on the Italy intn'l last week, furious that Napoli reneged on a deal agreed weeks previously. Guardiola, however, was calm about the situation in Chicago&reconciled that a switch to Stamford Bridge was in Jorginho’s best interests. ‘I’m not disappointed,’ Guardiola said. ‘We tried, but at the end all my advice for the players is that they have to go where they want to go. ‘For the guy, it would have been a mistake for him&for us if he had decided to come here when he wanted to go with Maurizio (Sarri)&Chelsea. ‘So it is important that English football has received an exceptional player&at the end if they want to come, it’s better they come. ‘If he decides to go to Chelsea for the reasons he has explained or will explain, then all the best for him.’ The relatively unknown Claudio Gomes could be thrown into the mix as possible solutions. Gomes officially moves to City from PSG on Monday when he turns 18 having signed a 5yrs contract. Guardiola continues to look at other potential options but Gomes has already caught the eye in America. ‘We’ll decide until the last day (of the window),’ the Catalan added. ‘We’ll see what happens. We have solutions. We have Fernandinho, Gundogan, Aleks (Zinchenko) can play in that position. Fabian Delph too. 2 players here - Douglas Costa&Claudio Gomes - can do it. ‘At his (Gomes’) age you have to play. If he doesn’t play with us he plays with the 2nd team, regularly stay with us&train like with Phil (Foden)&Brahim (Diaz). What we’ve seen from him here... the impression is so good.’

Couldn’t be more pumped for my man @shaquem_griffin ! @mjperformance knew he was capable of exceeding expectations, but he truly realized his full potential when it counted and will be regarded as one of the best performances from a Linebacker ever for a long time. Similar to a man who trained him, @mjgold4 held in the 400m. We set out to break records at the nfl combine, not just be content with an invite.
Quem beams energy, enthusiasm and excitement everyday, not just on game days and that is apparent for anyone who will ever witness this man play football, be interviewed, or when he is the only man left in the gym working to perfect his craft! Will be a hero for many to follow and look up to, and I can only pray my children can walk this earth with the charisma and happiness that this man does on a daily basis.
Couldn’t be more grateful to have played a small part of your success for this stepping stone of a process with the ultimate dream to play in the NFL. This man will be playing football on Sunday’s with the world cheering him on! #againstallodds #mjpfam #proud #grateful #speedfactory

For me these reasons are not acceptable ,cause i know my son and his abilities better than all of those professional specialists ,of course they have proofs of what they say; but we will change te rules,Arat plays so greatly with the ball in his four, that i cant do the same in my age !
He is only 4 years old and we are sure that soon the great football clubs will pay attention to him;Maybe Barcelona or Real Madrid or...?
He dreams of being the best football player in the world and he tries so hard to achieve his Goal.

People can already feel his positive influence on the team and on the style of football that the team wants to play. When we brought him here, we knew he could influence the dynamic because he could attract other people to follow him in the way he thinks football and the way he likes to play football. So we are really happy. And a part of that is his character, he’s a good guy to have around, a funny guy and a guy who always has a smile on his face. He doesn’t speak good English but he speaks with everyone and understands everyone and they understand him. Sometimes the riches of helping others is the best reward one can experience. My purpose in life seems to help and work with our youth. This young man played for me when I was an assistant HS basketball coach in Georgia. The message was after seeing him shaking hands to receive his bachelors degree from Georgia Tech. He was at two-sport athlete in HS and then went on to play football for Tech. He had a cup of coffee with the Buffalo Bills. However, while he never got to fully play for the shield, this young man is bigger than football.

Messages like this is part of the reason I enjoy my life. I may not make the most money to live my passion but to know the impact one makes is priceless. Georgia was great to me and I intend to continue helping our youth in wherever I go.

David Luiz insists he has learned a lot about himself as a player&a person after a difficult 2017/18 season at Chelsea under Antonio Conte. After playing a pivotal role in Conte's side as Chelsea win on the title in 2016/17, the Brazilian defender made just 10 Premier League starts last term, with his time at the club seemingly coming to an end. But Luiz is back in the side under new manager Maurizio Sarri,&in an exclusive interview, says he has taken the positives out of a difficult situation.

Ahead of Chelsea's clash with Newcastle, Luiz said: "I think I always have to feel fresh start because I am getting old! It is amazing to play football, of course last season was not the best for me inside the pitch, but also I learned a lot outside the pitch as a person, as a man. It is always great to be on the pitch. "I learned a lot, sometimes you have to be patient, sometimes you have to take care of your body, sometimes you have to learn from outside to be good in the future.
So for me it was great. "I got time to take care of my body; many times I was on the pitch in pain,&I never refused to play 1game. It was good to rest&be fresh. "If the manager had stayed the same, of course, everybody knows maybe I had to move clubs. Now I am here&so happy." Chelsea struggled in the Premier League last season, finishing 5th&outside of the Champions League spots, but Luiz says the winning attitude at the club has not decreased. Luiz also gave an insight into Sarri's philosophy at Stamford Bridge,&says the Italian has already taught the 31yrs-old some new tricks. "The ambition has to be to win every single match, every single competition, this is Chelsea we can't think in a different way but we also have to have humility to understand we're at the beginning of a new philosophy, so we start day-by-day every single week. "I think every coach comes with new stuff&can improve&help us,&of course Sarri are already taught me many things I never saw before. It's great to understand football - it never stops - since I started playing football I always learn from every coach, it's great. "He just gives to you [the public] 5% of the ide

24th June 1987 the day when the God gave this football world the man to cherish for eternity. The child who got diagnosed with "Growth deficiency Hormone", but that’s something that was not going to stop him from being a Legend. When you saw him you would think: this kid can't play ball. He's a dwarf, he's too fragile, too small. But immediately you'd realise that he was born different, that he was a phenomenon and that he was going to be something impressive. A 13 years old teen who started his career, where nobody must have thought this "Tiny looking little Child" will be football sensation someday that nobody will stop talking about.

The man who won 32 trophies for his club, 5 Ballon d'Ors in his career, 500+ Goals for the club and what not.
Yes, I accept the fact that he didn't put up the same show for his International team but that makes him nothing less. "If you fail at 9-5 job only few people will get to know, But when you fail somewhere as an artist the number is in million". Yes, you are an Artist who has an ability to mesmerize people with you Art of playing football. It feels sad seeing, few bad games makes people forget what you have achieved so far.  It absolutely takes nothing to mock somebody on Internet, they do that only when, "There is feeling of insecurity that they can't be someone like you and have nothing in or about themselves to talk about." "You can overcome anything if and only if you have love something enough." Yes, we all know you love football and that's something you are born for. It took you 17 years and 114 days to become an overnight success. "A lion doesn't concern himself with the opinions of the sheep" I know you will come back stronger and that's what Legends do.

Wishing you a Happiest 31st Birthday Leo. ❤️⚽🙌🏼

“He was my first coach ever. I didn’t want to play football after my parents separated. My brother reached out and said ‘You’re one of the most gifted members in our family. You can’t quit.’ He showed me NCAA, Madden and football in general. He taught me trampoline football, tackle, street… everything. He even showed me how to look up highlights on YouTube. Back then, I just assumed you had to watch the game to see highlights. He even gave me knowledge on Walter Payton and other HOF running backs. My brother knew I was athletic but he knew I needed guidance. He taught me how to do different cuts and how to study other runners. I always liked football but I began to love it when I realized I was good at it. My brother and family pushed me to go the extra mile because they knew I had the talent and drive to be great at it. He told me, ‘Just keep writing the book so I can keep flipping the pages.’ And I told him, ‘I got you big bro.’”- Khalan “Lambo” Laborn, Redshirt Freshman, RB

.
Everyone wants to talk about Becks the athlete and his competitive drive rightfully so but they often miss the other side of Becks.
.
In the last four years I'd be willing to bet there isn't a person who has donated as much of their free time back to a community as he has. From football and basketball camps to township kids day and kids carnival at the bowling alley you name it he was always there.
.
He is easily the smartest player I've ever coached, even as a freshman he'd asked the right questions. He called our defensive coverages and in weird formations we'd talk and he would put us in positions to be successful.
.
Being the leader you are, you never let little things slide, knowing that doing so isn't being a leader at all.
.
Love you buddy and am proud of you.
.
Michigan Tech you didn't get a good one, you got a great one.
.
Ps : I had to re start this post because I kept remembering different photos/videos (8th grade) I've had throughout the last five years.
.
Pss- My grandma can still probably beat you in a race.

He is still remembered by all in the Middle East. Ammo Baba was born on the RAF base Hinaidi & grew up on the Assyrian-British RAF base Habbaniya. It was there that the young Ammo watched servicemen play football, and started playing for his school’s football team - encouraged by his mother. Then, he played for the RAF Employee’s (Assyrian) Club. Ammo was spotted by the Iraqi Schools coach & was selected to play in the Pan-Arab (international) championship; he was named player of the tournament. At that time he was 16 years old.
.
Soon after, he became a huge and instant success. Ammo Baba was an instinctive goal scorer, known for his bicicletas. He was offered contracts by Chelsea, Celtic and many other European clubs, but the Prime Minister wanted him to stay in Iraq. Ammo Baba’s era is regarded as the golden ages of Iraqi football.

I heard their voices faintly behind me on the train, explaining to him he had to get off because he didn't have a ticket. With polite urgency he asked if he could stay on, he didn't have money and just wanted to get out of the flash flood downpour and back to Dallas. I turned around. Our gazes met. He was young. Sadness filled his eyes. My heart instantly heavy for him. I listened to the police for a minute more, explaining how he had to get off at the next stop. I had an extra commuter ticket, why not? I asked if I activated it on my app if he could remain on until his destination. They said yes. We met eyes again and he smiled with relief and a timid thank you escaped his mouth. Shortly after he came to sit on the bench ahead of me. We talked. He was a sweet soul. I asked questions. He gave answers that broke my heart. He was 18. My brothers age. The streets are his home, between Fort Worth and Dallas. Aged out of the foster care system. He hoped to make it back to California one day where he was born. Maybe find his family. My gut churning . He had an electric smile. We laughed. Talked out the Cowboys. He's a fan now since he's been in Dallas. I asked if he ever played football. He said he didn't. He moved homes too much to play. His eyes showed disappointment as he looked at me and said "I bet I would have been good. I'm really fast ma'am." Holding back back tears I saw him as a small boy, just wanting to play. I could feel that spirit in him. The little boy whose childhood was stolen. What I would give to have given him a home. To show him he is worthy of love and belonging. All I could give him were the few dollars I had before I walked off the train to my babies at work. It killed me inside. I cry for him as I write this. Not for any praise, but to ask. What are we doing friends? There are far too many T's in this world. We are so caught up in the cultural trap we miss them. I was bummed I forgot my headphones on the train so I could listen to a book or watch videos. But if I'd had them I would've checked out and missed T. Don't miss a chance to love on T...

I didn't intend on coming home with 20 chocolate bars when I went to the grocery, but I wanted to support him. He looked about the age my son would be, and he came up to me with his head down as I made my way into the store, asking if I'd like to buy a candy bar.

"What are you selling it for?" I asked him, and he told me he was trying to raise money for his football equipment. I told him that on my way back out I'd buy some from him.

20 minutes later, he was there, waiting for me. I asked him questions about himself, about football, and then told him I'd like $20 worth of chocolate from him, and then the same amount from his friend. His eyes shot up at me, with this new, overwhelming look of excitement that was so profound, I thought he was going to cry.

After I chose my candy, I looked at him and asked, "can I share a tip with you? I'm buying all this chocolate, and I don't even like chocolate all that much. I don't care about buying the candy bars. What I do care about is you, and you earning enough money to be able to play football. So, the next time somebody walks up here don't sell them the candy, ask them if they'd like to help you earn money to play football this season, and then tell them they can do that by purchasing your candy."

"Yes ma'am!" What happened next blew my mind. The quiet, uncomfortable kid who was walking up to strangers with his head down, went up to the very next person with his head high, eye contact made, and literally exclaimed, "Sir, would you like to help me raise money to play on my football team?" IT WAS LIKE A NEW PERSON WAS SELLING THOSE CANDY BARS. He became proud of himself and his offering.

Sisters, it's Monday. Here's what we do to kick off our week: 1- We don't focus on the candy bars, we focus on our WHY, on our bigger picture so we can have the confidence and stamina to keep dreaming and pursuing. 2- We look for the people who others pass by, we cheerlead them on and help them shine too.

I believe that those two things will impact your week on a level that will blow your mind. Who's ready to write a different narrative? Who's ready to show up with excitement and enthusiasm? What's your bigger picture?LETS GO!

What honestly inspired me to play Football is my friend @davidtomb asked me one time, and we we’re having an ongoing conversation about the benefits and some cons. And I told him I’ll try it, and he gave me props. So the first picture you see is me putting on my very first Football Helmet, and the story carried on and then when I got on the Football Roster, I got on my knees, rose my arms in the sky, and said, “THANK YOU GOD FOR NEVER GIVING UP ON ME!!!” And the 3rd picture, us big boys got the Lineman Challenge Champions Plaque for hard work as big men! The 4th picture was when I proudly claimed my 70 Jersey for my 70 year old Grandmother who passed away from Brain Cancer and who inspired me to be a BASHING ATHLETE! The 5th picture represents me posing as a real athlete during our Champions Week practices, and I was proud for literally running and pushing my ass to get through HELL WEEK TO BECOME FIT FOR AN ATHLETE! The 6th picture represents posing with my brothers that I’ve been with since the beginning! The 7th picture is me on the very first time I’ve played actual Varsity Football while the crowd watched me grind, but it doesn’t matter that I played JV right? The 8th Picture represents all of the boys receiving the PIAA District 4 Championship Plaque and Medal that we won going against the Selinsgrove Seals.(Everybody cheered my name when it was announced for getting my medal😂) The 9th Picture is all of the boys getting ready to run in and play in states going against the Pottsgrove Falcons during the PIAA 4A States Game First Round, which was an unforgettable moment and unfortunate loss 14-10. And last but not least, the 10th picture represents the guy, the legend, the friend, and the coach who trained me to become who I am> and forget who I was in the past.
I also played Football because granted I have Autism, I wanted to show all of my fans and everyone else that you CAN PLAY ANY SPORT WITH ANY DISABILITY! If you’re in a Wheelchair, Crutches, you have Autism like me, ADHD, Asperger Syndrome, or any physical or mental disability in anyway, don’t just watch your favourite sport, PLAY IT!!! 🏈🏈🏈

This man, raised me by himself since I was a little girl, he took care of me when I got heart broken, he would brush my hair and teach me out to play football. He would teach me that as a little girl I could become anything I wanted. He would put me to bed and put me to sleep when I was worried. He would work all day but never miss a diner, never miss a chance to help me with my studies, never miss a teacher-parents meeting. This man gave up on his private life to be able to give mine all the support and love I would need. He would tell me every day how strong, beautiful and intelligent he thinks I was, am. He has teaches me to believe in myself, to fight for what I want, and respect others. He also teaches me how to love, and how important it is to say I love you to your dear ones. He helped me grow. He became a father, a mum, a confident and my strongest support. He spend hours going shopping with me, as he was the only one I could do this with, he let me be what I wanted and always tried to open my mind with books, travels, experiences. There is honestly not a thing I don’t own to this man, if I ever did something good, it’s because of him. I am so grateful to have been raised by such a man, strong, intelligent, open minded and soft. I am so grateful I could have such an example to look up at. I am blessed I can have such a natural trust and love for man. Everyone has their hero’s, mine is him. A real life hero, so humble on top of it. To all the dads and dads to come, you do matter too ! You can change your little girl/boy life!! Happy father day to all of you, and has he told me so, never forget to say I love you.

The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been and the memories we've made along the way. Since the age of 4, football has played a major role in experiencing all those things to their fullest. It's taken me places I would have otherwise never been, introduced me to friends that will outlast this lifetime, and given memories that will surely never be forgotten. To my family, my friends, my teammates, my coaches, fans and everyone who has both supported and sacrificed along the way, words won't do justice the gratitude I have for your part in this journey. From pee wee until now, you've been the foundation of any success I've been able to attain. Since a young age, I knew (and told anyone who would listen) that I WOULD play professional football. It wouldn't come without hard work and sacrificing more than I could have known, but this game has blessed me beyond what I could have ever imagined. With that being said, Im both excited and saddened to announce my retirement. I've personally sacrificed a lot physically, emotionally, relationally and put life on hold, so to speak, to pursue this dream I've been living for so long. But all good things must eventually come to an end, and for me, that time is now. In the same light that God knew my desire to play football, He's also known my desire to be done by the time I turned 30. Which shows me his sense of humor because after searching for months, I received a job offer for the exact position I've been praying for ON MY 30th birthday! So along with my retirement, I'd also like to announce the beginning of a new journey. I've accepted a medical sales position with Stryker Spine here in Jacksonville. Thank you to everyone who's prayed, networked on my behalf, and helped me figure out the next chapter of my life. If you are reading this, you're a part of it and I'm so blessed to have you in my life. I appreciate you more than you know!
With love and gratitude,

I know I haven't posted in a while, I've been a bit busy. Anyway. Today's topic is feminism and gender equality!

I believe in gender equality, but not in feminism. I am not a femi-nazi (feminist nickname via Rush Limbaugh). Women have the babies and take care of the children, which often means that you don't work or you barely work. My dad works the weekdays and my mom works on weekends; I think that that's a good situation for the kids. And women are typically more fragile then men. And honestly, I don't think that girls could have the same opportunities as men because of there natural personality and gender. Especially gender.
In my opinion, gender equality doesn't mean that everything men get women get. Women have different bodies and shoe sizes (generally bigger for men, lol) then men. I believe gender equality means that we can do the same things, but to a certain extent. Why don't women play football? Oh yeah, because women are generally more fragile and careful then men. Same for wrestling.
Earlier I mentioned that gender was important. And it is! You can't just choose to be mixed gender, the opposite gender, or no gender at all! Take Bruce Jenner (I still call him a man because he is naturally one, no matter what surgeries he gets) for one. He's a transgender who I think only wants notice. And if he claims that he's a strong believer of God, then why is he transgender? He should except how God put him down on this Earth and be fine. So what I'm saying is that there's no reason to be changing genders.

So that was a long thing about feminism, gender equality, and transgender... k bye!!!

Maybe you are new here and I wanted to introduce myself but mainly so I could prompt you to introduce yourselves!
1. I’m Jennie Allen and the great love of my life is Jesus Christ and His Word- studying it, knowing Him and giving all of that away.
2. The next love of my life is this man, Zac Allen, we have been through a lot of hard marriage to get to the awesome marriage we have today. He is the greatest cheerleader I have and pushes me to live bigger dreams for God than I would ever do on my own.
3. We have 2 girls who are becoming my best friends. I’m learning more from them these days than they are learning from me.
4. We have 2 boys who both adore football and you should know it’s kind of our thing... we live in Texas and we do A LOT of football. My youngest was adopted from Rwanda and Africa is another thing we adore.
4. I have given my life to discipling women through the local church. I build Biblestudies, write books, and teach a lot- all with that clear calling and goal. I believe in women. Giving them God and seeing them unleashed is my big dream in life and I get to do it everyday.
5. IF:Gathering has been a big part of that for the last 6 years. It is a gathering of women from around the world and these women and thousands of others run beside me building this dream. It’s quite a sisterhood, if you are looking for one.
6. And if you haven’t noticed we just moved to Dallas after 12 years in our beloved Austin and our oldest son shocked us all by choosing to play football around the corner at @smudallas!
And my one disclaimer to everything I just named... these are my greatest joys but also if I’m being real some of the hardest parts of life are also in these things. So I’m just saying the tidy little summary here is complicated too... we struggle but we also laugh a lot and I hope you feel loved here in this space.
Your turn! Little tribe, tell us about you!!

Praying for my friend who is one of the family attorney’s for Jordan Edwards whose killer is on trial for the second day of deliberations. I’m not sure what there is to further deliberate as it’s very clear an innocent child was killed here. Praying for Jordan’s family and that they receive justice today.

• "That's who this case is about. That kid right there," said Snipes as he pointed to the photo. "It's not a fairy tale. He really was that great. He really did have a 3.5 GPA, he really did want to go to Alabama to play football for them, he really did work out every day, he really did have a million friends, he really did have a nickname 'Smiley.' He was the real deal."

On April 29, 2017 Oliver and a second officer, Tyler Gross, were breaking up a large teenage house party when they heard shots outside. Prosecutors said those shots came from another group who pulled into a nearby nursing home parking lot and left.

When the officers, investigated the shots fired, they confronted a vehicle leaving the house party. The vehicle was not involved in the original shooting and the teens inside were unarmed. Body camera footage showed Officer Gross tried to stop the vehicle before Oliver fired into it, killing Edwards.

Oliver's defense said he used deadly force because he believed the driver was trying to run over another officer at the scene. During the trial Officer Gross, testified he did not believe his life was in danger.

The top team in Belgium. I really couldn’t believe it. I kept asking him, “Is it real? Are you sure?”

.
Before I signed the contract, I had a revelation. I had just been a regular guy. A postman, a factory worker, a player in the third division. I still was. But now I had this chance that one in a million people get. I thought back to my mother — it was because of her that all this had happened. Now I could give something back to her, and all I had to do was play football."

As a teenager, Thomas Meunier was close to quitting football and had been working in factories, and as a postman. However, his mother convinced him to keep playing. Since then he played for Club Brugge before signing for Paris St-Germain where he now plays alongside Neymar.

Well I woke up to the rose bowl being replayed on SEC network. You really can’t get enough of that game. The FG block. Then the wild dawg for the win. Unreal. To say I’m ready for football would be a gross understatement. I’ve been a dawg all my life. My grandfather was the son of Hungarian immigrants living in Detroit in the early 1940’s. He was recruited to play football for UGA. Moving to Athens and playing for Coach Wally Butts was one of his proudest accomplishments. When he passed in 1992 we were able spread his ashes on the field in Sanford Stadium. Right on the 50 yard line. We grew up going to the games. Grew up on all the Munson calls. Grew up in that time period where the stadium on Saturday was filled with smoke and bourbon and walk-man earphones all throughout the crowd as folks watched it live on radio. We grew up on Grizzard. Those were sure some good days. Hell I even went to my frosh high school homecoming with a walk-man hidden in my pants so I could clandestinely listen to UGA-Clemson in 1991. We danced the roger rabbit in the cafeteria at Stone Mountain high as Eric Zeier and Co blasted the vaunted Tigers 27-12. I recently found that homecoming pic. I laughed as I turned the picture over and noticed my 14 year old hand had written my name, my date’s name, and the Georgia Clemson date and score. I’m ready to tee it up between the hedges. I’m ready for the boys of fall. I’m ready for glory glory, baba o’reilly, and in the air tonight. I’m ready for the arches. The bell. The varsity. Run Lindsay. Appleby to Washington. I’m ready for “My God a freshman.” I’m ready for Saturday. #godawgs #souega #athensga #uga

Via thegrio.com: Nikki Yovino may have plead guilty to making false rape claims against two football players at a Connecticut college – but that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s remorseful.

The former Sacred Heart University student claimed she was raped by two men during a party in 2016, but then later admitted to making up the allegations because she wanted a potential love interest to feel sympathy for her. She shocked witnesses when she rolled her eyes in court as one of her victims spoke about how her false allegations ruined his life.
Thursday, Yovino was sentenced to a year in jail in Bridgeport Superior Court after pleading guilty in June to misdemeanor charges of falsely reporting an incident and interfering with police.

The two students she accused had remained anonymous up until Thursday. One of the men, Malik St. Hilaire, stepped forward to read a victim impact statement to the courtroom. In his statement St. Hilaire explained how Yovino’s false claims got him expelled from school. “I went from being a college student to sitting at home being expelled with no way to clear my name,” St. Hilaire said. “I just hope she knows what she has done to me, my life will never be the same. I did nothing wrong, but everything has been altered because of this.” But rather than be contrite, Law & Crime reports that Yovino smirked and repeatedly rolled her eyes as the young man addressed the room.
Someone standing close to Yovino during the hearing claims they also heard her groaning in annoyance as St. Hilaire spoke and she showed “no remorse”. Her attorney has since denied these accounts saying that it had been a “difficult day for Nikki and her family.” Frank Riccio III, the attorney representing both football players, read a statement from the second man, who has chosen not to be publicly identified. The man said he lost his football scholarship because of Yovino’s allegations and now suffers from depression and anxiety. “She accused me of what I believe to be a horrendous, horrific crime out of her own selfish concerns,” the unidentified student’s statement read, according to The Hour. “I lost my scholarship, my dream of continuing to play football and.."

After a pumped up ride all the way to magnetic hill and back, the craze of long smooth roads with no traffic, we took a little detour to see where does the gravel covered road towards the end of our journey lead us to... what we encounter was no surprise , pure bliss in every curve all the way to this little gonpa. There was this young monk, who was learning under his way to know his inner self better.. from outside he was just like any other 18year old kid. Who also used to perform prayers at the Gonpa! Had a Facebook account, liked to play football(or soccer). But the similarities go only as far as that. Unlike most of us who would believe his position, as a sort of line which is almost impossible without the comfort of all the things we take for granted everyday of our life.
He just saw ours as a way of exploring life to know it’s meaning or perhaps running away from that.. The vibrant spectrum of people and happiness you get in this valley is in not just the places but the people too.. just like the people who put mischief and fun and a learning curve in your life.. know yourself from your past.. and build a better self for tomorrow.

The brothers absolutely love football, just like their dad, Duncan.
When Sam was five, his dad went to play football one evening as he did every week. Duncan, who was only 39, collapsed whilst playing and was rushed to hospital. Soon after, doctors discovered an undiagnosed critical heart condition. Sam’s mum, Beth, was told that Duncan wouldn’t survive the night. “At the hospital, I remember walking into the room and just seeing a mass of people because so many people had been trying to help him. I remember thinking, how do you tell a three and five year old that their daddy has died? I sat through the night just thinking about what am I going to tell them?”. After Duncan’s death, Beth and the boys tried to cope for a long time but Sam struggled to come to terms with the loss of his father. Two years ago, Beth found Shakespeare Hospice, a project funded by your donations, that has supported Sam with his grief since.

Today marks the 30th anniversary of MJ wearing one of my favorite shoes the Air Jordan 3 in the 1988 All-Star Slam Dunk competition. I remembered having Tinker Hatfield come speak at this weekly meeting or huddle I started called “I Want That Job” while I was at Nike. This allowed employees who worked in-store to hear about some of the other jobs that the company offered.
Most of the people in-store who I spoke with regularly wanted to be an EKIN (Nike spelled backwards) I would always laugh like it’s more jobs out there than just that! So I created an avenue to open up their minds, eyes & ears for more. So each Friday, I would have various people from functions of the business (designing, marketing, product, IT, social media) on campus come in and have them tell their story and explain their career path.

I was lucky enough to have a friend who introduced me to Tinker and his administrative assistant. We went back and forth for months over email & phone calls to lock down a date for him to come in and speak. He asked me what should I talk about? Luckily, that year was the year of the AJ3 rerelease 2011 the first Jordan shoe Tinker designed.

So I said talk about the 3’s also anything you're currently working on that you can share and any cool stories from the past. We started talking some more and he went into a story about a time when things were a little shaky between MJ and the brand after the AJ2. (I won’t go too deep into that story, sounds better from his mouth.) He also shared how he was scratching his head trying to get the right design for MJ to play in. He felt it was a little pressure since two of his former colleagues that MJ and his father regularly spoke with and dealt with ended up leaving the brand to a competitor brand. One of those many designs he came up that didn’t make the final cut with was the AJ3 with a Swoosh on it.

He pulled out his Ipad shared and showed everyone the Jordan 28’s at the time he was working on them with Josh Heard and sketches he’d been working on. One design, in particular, he was designing was Phil Knights private airplane using inspiration from UO Ducks Wings football jerseys on the wings of the plane for Phil.

RIP Pop Pop. ❤️ On Sunday, as I was about to depart on my flight to New York I received a call from my mother. The plane was on the runway and the flight attendant urged me not to answer. I put my phone down but my gut didn't feel right. I don't know what it was, but I answered. It was Pop Pop.
There were two things during that call that I'll never forget. First, was that he said he loved me. Second, was that when I told him I was moving to New York, he lit up and asked, "what will you be selling?" Fighting back tears I said, "my company." That he knew me and loved me well enough to know, even in that state of mind, that if I was moving to New York, it was to sell something, anything, a dream, an idea, a new chapter. He knew. That's something I will always cherish and never forget.
We could have talked for an eternity, and from the sound of it, he wanted to, but my plane was lifting off. I said my final goodbye. In that moment, I thought about the painful, yet beautiful irony that as he passed on from one plane to the next, so did I. After wiping tears from my eyes, I looked back and witnessed the most beautiful sunset I had ever seen in my life. It was almost as if the sky was waving back at me. It was Pop Pop saying his final goodbye.

During my junior year of high school, Pop Pop decided to move to Florida, but would ultimately delay his plans so he could see me play my final year of football. He never missed a single game.
Until today, I had never seen this photo but it's a wonderful reminder of the love and sacrifice he made. One I hope I can make for my grandkids some day. I love you Pop Pop, and I will now dedicate my time in New York to you. I hope I make you proud. Love you, forever and always. "H-Man"

It’s not every day you get to meet an NFL Hall of Famer. Randy White was a defensive tackle in the prime of Dallas Cowboys football. He played from 1975 to 1988. He was on 2 Super Bowl teams and he was such a savage that he was the Co-MVP of Super Bowl XXII. I failed to tell him that I was a die hard Terry Bradshaw and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I loved watching Randy play even though he did a lot of damage to the Steelers. He is such a nice guy. He spends his time fishing now. We are talking football and being beat up. So me and @thedunns222 hooked him up some Kratom. #cowboys #dallas #dallascowboys #halloffame #nfl #randywhite #aleafoffaith #kratom #CBD #kratom #urbanice

You truly have an angel on the way... King Rick Gallie was called by the most high, he fought only the way he knew! Hard and to the very end, not showing a single sign of burdens to the world. He changed the way we play football, being the first to spread the Wing-T offense around America through Louisiana from Delaware and the originator of the “Wildcat” package that you see today with an athletic QB and many have expanded upon... A true creator, master of his craft, disciplinarian, tough loving King. He changed St. James football forever! He leaves behind a Queen, family, friends, players/coaches, communities... He will be missed, but the affect he had on us all will live FOREVER!! Love you, REST...

So my little boy (whose not little anymore ) celebrated his 9th birthday today. As you notice , I am not in the picture anymore. He didn’t really want me in that picture , he planned his birthday and chose who to invite , what, where and so on.
This year , all what he wanted is to be independent, go out alone, play football, go bike with his friends , he no longer wanted his mama around .
It’s a difficult adjustment for me, my little boy is growing up and doesn’t want to need me anymore.
Little does he know that I will always be there and that he will always be my little boy.
Maybe I won’t be in the picture anymore , but I will definitely be there! #birthday #mom #kids #dubai #mydubai #preteens #boys #momlife #myboy

There are a hundred reasons why I fell in love with hot yoga, but one of them is because of the lessons you learn about how to be the best version of yourself. During class tonight, the amazing @alexstarxmaccom told us a touching story she saw on tv about a young man, 16 yo, whose childhood dream was to play football, but he was born with a broken back and was paralyzed as a result. Instead of letting his physical disability prevent him from achieving his dreams, the young man focused on what he *could* do rather than what he couldn’t do. Being paralyzed doesn’t prevent you from holding the ball for the kicker, so that’s what the young man set out to do. He now plays that position on the football team and has played in over 20 games. No one pays any attention anymore to the fact that he’s in a wheelchair. This story sat with me all night as a reminder of how much we limit ourselves bc of preconceived notions of what we think we have to be, do, have, look like, etc before we’ll go after the things we really want in life. Myself included! I came home, started doing a little toning workout, and I decided to challenge myself. I love core workouts bc I need them so much. My previous elbow plank record was 2 mins, and I had only done so a couple of times before, and I hadn’t even attempted to do so in over a year. Tonight, I got to 2 mins, sweat started dripping from my forehead and arms, body shaking. I just kept thinking about overcoming limitations over and over again the entire time. I held it for 2 mins, 32 secs! I rested for a minute and wanted to see how much longer I could go, so I did it again for 1 min 20 secs. But this story isn’t about physical strength. Physically, I’m jet lagged, a bit stressed at work, sore from yesterday, sleep deprived, and super bloated—I look like I’m having triplets. But the mind is so much stronger than we give it credit for. And as the kick-ass and hugely inspiring barre instructor @lexy_bow17 always says, *you* are so much stronger than you think you are. 💪🏼🧘🏻‍♀️💫 #truth #namaste #yogaeverydamnday #yogainspiration #yogafit #yogalife #strongereveryday #motivationmonday #plankchallenge #planksinhawaiiarethebest #fabfourfitspo
