Charlee and Ryenn have formed a team called “Sisterly Love”. Back in the fall, they started riding at the Shea Riding Center. The Shea Center serves people who can benefit from therapeutic riding and activities around the horse. They offer a number of programs that include physical, occupational, and speech therapies and therapeutic riding. We have been fortunate enough to be able to not only use their services, but make leaps and bounds in our child’s growth and development. The cool thing about Shea is everyone in need can have the opportunity to ride. This week “Team Sisterly Love” will be raising money for the campaign “Drive to Ride”. Please help Ryenn and Charlee raise money so others may receive this wonderful gift they have received. ALL proceeds will go directly to client financial aid and horse care. To donate and see Ryenn and Charlee’s story go to this website: https://online.sheacenter.org/dtr18-sisterlylove You can also find the link in my bio.

I woke up this morning and immediately thought of this image I took in Boston in 2011 for The New York Times. Boston high school senior, Nathaly Lopera kisses her boyfriend Josè Lopez before heading off to night classes at The Boston Higher Education Resource Center to help her get into college. Since second grade, she has taken advantage of a voluntary integration program here, leaving her home in one of the city’s poorer sections before 6:30 a.m. and riding a bus over an hour to Newton, a well-to-do suburb with top-quality schools. Some nights, she has so many activities that she does not get home until 10 p.m.; often she’s up past midnight studying. #nytimes #nytassignment #boston #love #valentinesday #america

I can’t express the significance of the change to my entire life thanks to you, your incredible mom (and soon to be one more!) From the first moment I held you to my chest at NYU medical center, to the days when your little Batman-caped booties fit perfectly, to throwing you unreasonably high in the air next to the Washington Monument just to see you smile as I caught you ...the day you walked for the first time in our living room on 42nd street, the train rides to DC, riding your balance bike and swimming at our apartment in Sherman Oaks...your delight for being around your grandparents or cousins.. You’re now a big kid, asking to watch videos about gravity, and following it up by asking me why the chicken crossed the road. “One more story” is all I want to do, too, buddy (but we NEED REST). You’re part of my favorite thing in life. #Family Thanks to the beautiful woman behind you (and friends like your dessert loving buddy, @jesseleemusic), I have a very happy life and I hope you’ve felt that love and know that you will ALWAYS be this kid with Jenni’s chocolate ice cream in your face to us. I love you. We love you. Happy 5th Birthday, Boo!

Me and Jacob are great, I've gotten to see him alot these couple of weeks. But yesterday stood out to me the most. He came to my school to help and donate blood, he then took me home and later that night my mom picked me up. So he came to the blood drive looking like a dork trying to find the back door to the event center. He made faces while we were being questioned in the booth before donating, he laughed at the corny puns I said while we were sitting on the bed. He smiled when we were riding to his house and my voice was quieter because I was really tired from just giving blood. We laughed as we hugged and kissed, and as it got quieter he looked into my eyes and I could tell he really loved me. He said it alot, but then he stopped and said "No I'm not going to say I love you, I'm going to say I need you. You make me happy and you are my boost in the middle of the day, my reason I am able to be positive in bad situations. I need you Hannah." I lost it, I hugged him and began crying... no one's ever Needed me before. Like yeah they would miss me if I wasn't around but no One has ever needed Hannah Zapata. I'm needed now... someone needs me in thier life. I think I cried for 20 minutes and wouldn't talk I just hugged him. He was concerned at first but then realized and then pointed out some things he loves about me. The way my chin quivers if I'm embarrassed and trying not to smile, or how I have 2 small smile dimples, or the sound of my voice when I'm super happy. GOSH I freaking love him. I need him in my life, ok I can't gush anymore so Have a good day I suppose ❤❤❤

One of my favourite flowers is - Tulips
They are so beautiful.

Originally from Persia and Turkey, tulips were brought to Europe in the 16th century, where they got their common name from the Turkish word for gauze (with which turbans were wrapped) - reflecting the turban-like appearance of a tulip in full bloom.
By the 17th century, the popularity of tulips, particularly in the Netherlands, became so great that the price of a single bulb soared to new heights, causing markets to crash and putting into motion "tulip mania." Although different tulip colors carry distinct meanings - yellow tulips symbolizing cheerful thoughts, white conveying forgiveness and purple representing royalty - a Turkish legend may be responsible for the red tulip's symbolism. The story goes that a prince named Farhad was love struck by a maiden named Shirin. When Farhad learned that Shirin had been killed, he was so overcome with grief that he killed himself - riding his horse over the edge of a cliff. It's said that a scarlet tulip sprang up from each droplet of his blood, giving the red tulip the meaning "perfect love." The 11th wedding anniversary flower, it's said that the tulip's velvety black center represents a lover's heart, darkened by the heat of passion. With the power to rival roses in their red variety and the sweet charm to express simple joy when yellow, it's no wonder that in addition to all its other symbolism, in the language of flowers, a tulip bouquet represents elegance and grace.

When your looking for some beautiful flowers, take a look at the Tulip.

Wishing you a magical day.💕

My love for @paleovalley is never ending! I first discover their grass-fed beef sticks last year around this time & became a huge fan! Then they came out with their pastured turkey sticks this year & I was ecstatic! They have 2 flavors in the turkey, original & cranberry orange, I love them both! They have so much flavor & aren’t full of all the other crap you tend to see added to other meat snacks, like citric acid & GMO’s #sponsored
.
They’re perfect on their own for summer snacking on the go, but if you have some extra time, make these cute Paleo Mini Corn Dog Muffins. Corn dogs are something I miss durning the summer, especially at the fair. Sooo I’m bringing these along to satisfy my inner child while riding on the ferris wheel! Want 30% off paleovalley goodies? Sure you do 😉 just Click the link in my bio or head to https://paleovalley.com & enter code paparazzi at checkout, I got you boo!
.
Paleo Mini Corn Dog Muffins
3 Paleovalley turkey sticks
4 eggs beaten
3 tbs coconut flour
2 tbs almond flour
1/4 cup coconut oil melted (could use ghee instead)
1 tbs honey
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
pepper to taste
.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Cut the Paleovalley turkey sticks into 6 equal pieces & set aside.
Use a mini muffin pan & grease or fill with cupcake liners.
Mix all dry ingredients in a medium size bowl & set aside.
Mix all wet ingredients in a small bowl then add the wet ingredients to the dry Ingredients & mix well.
Fill muffin cups/liners 3/4 of the way full with mixture & push a sliced turkey stick down in the center of each.
Bake for 12-15 mins or until browned on top. Dunk them in some ketchup or mustard and enjoy! Makes 18 mini corndogs muffins.

I spent the weekend hugging + kissing this👆🏻guy extra hard! On Friday night, I received a call that instantly brought me to my knees. My husband had been hit by a car while riding his bike home from work. He was rushed to the Trauma Center at UCLA hospital. I immediately prayed like I’ve never prayed before...
With my toddler in tow, we rushed to meet him at the hospital. Come to find out the car that hit him was going 40 MPH and was totaled as a result of the collision.
By the grace of God 🙏🏻✨and a really amazing bike helmet, my hubby came away from this accident with lots of bruises and some really bad cuts everywhere but no critical injuries. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the firefighters, EMT, doctors, and nurses who so quickly came to his side. 💗

It was an emotional weekend caring for him and reflecting on this scary situation. The truth is, life is so very precious and can change in an instant. Whatever you hope to accomplish, do it. Whatever you hope to say to someone, say it with love. And say it today. Whenever you are with your loved ones, be 100 % present + smother them with kisses, and be thankful for every moment you’re together.
I love you to the moon and back, babe! I’m so very thankful you’re a real life superhero 💪🏻 Man of Steal! Thank the Lord for keeping you safe💕 #forevergrateful #lovehimsomuch #liveineverymoment #presentoverperfect

Similar to many misconceptions about #russia (bears walk on the streets 🐻😂, ALL Russian people are alcoholics and love vodka🥃), there are SO many misconceptions about Dallas-Fort-Worth, Texas (which I had myself before moving here). The biggest one is that it's full of cowboys riding horses 🐎 and cattle 🐄drives through the center of the city. And that is all #dfw is about. The truth is you will NOT see this at all, unless you go to very rural areas. The truth is it is actually the forth largest metropolitan in the United States!
- It is a home for 22 Fortune 500 companies. And more and more companies are moving their headquarters to DFW. Economy is just as diverse as New York! It's got banking, commerce, telecommunications, technology, oil and gas, healthcare, medical research. You name it. It is one of the strongest employment market! - Following a strong economy and employment, over 200 people are moving to the DFW every single day. Californias and New Yorkers are the biggest drivers of this migration! - What about the real estate?... It's booming! And it is a perfect time to buy a property here, whether it's for primary living or #investment purposes, before the prices skyrocket. So for those who wants to buy a property they better hurry up! And yes, the real estate here is not only about single family houses 🏡 DFW has got beautiful high-rises 🏙 with fabulous #views and awesome amenities, that are just keep being added by builders 🏗 (as you see on the picture). The city keeps growing up to the sky. - What about entertainment ? There is just so much to do in Dallas (unlike the misconception). It's got great restaurants, music, museums, lakes, parks, you name it. Plenty of choices for those who likes to explore new things!
And this is what real Dallas about. Not the cowboys and cattle 😜Hope I did a good job in dispelling your misconceptions 😁

She's not the easiest most times; she can be a little stubborn and heavy handed, but she rides like a dream when I take care of her, making sure everything is functioning right, doing little check ups here and there... Funny how that works right? Literally my ride or die- she's the only transportation I have, and although the lack of total independence from having a car looms over, I still don't regret it. Riding a bike makes you appreciate the smallest details of nature; sometimes taking life at a slower, simpler pace can re-center your mind in a world in rhythm with rush.
I'm proud to be a part of a community that cherishes this eco-friendly way of transportation. Though not as quick as a car, you'll get to where you need to be, just with appreciation, powered by love, two legs, and determination.

Pokhara wasn’t at all what I expected... it was a very beautiful city, but all of Nepal was beautiful. There was a lake to look out on and one of the world’s tallest mountains, but on the contrary, I found myself in the middle of a tourist center with scores of hotels, strange bars and spending all my time riding around looking for a place to sleep, torn between all of the choice.
#
When I finally settled on a hotel to stay in, the haggling process began. The manager took me up to his best room and looked at me and said, “this room is very expensive. 40 dollars. And it has hot water.” I said “okay” without thinking twice. I thought, holy shit, this would cost me $150 in the states, or more, if the internet had worked 😅
#
I decided to leave my “expensive” hotel room and venture around Pokhara. I was lonely. I was hoping to meet some people that night like I had in Kathmandu. Lovely people. I often feel like our impressions of cities are built solely on the experiences we have in them. Some cities are great and I think poorly of them and some cities are shit and I love going there. A place is made up of it’s people... I had a great dinner, and enjoyed every minute of the sunset and rise, but I left Pokhara early to return to a place that had spoken directly to my heart, Bandipur.
#
If you watched the video, I was underneath those power lines when they started sparking. Caught off guard, I ran into the street along with a few others as car horns honked at us, pumping their breaks. The entire side of the street lost power until the next morning. At least it wasn’t my side of the street.

It was so wonderful for us to have a special day just the two of us. We went to the farm to check out my mom’s new fish tank and practice riding his motor bike, and then we capped off the afternoon with a sweet treat at our fave bakery @sweetheatheranne. Preparing for this journey requires countless hours of training and dedication. I’ve committed my time to make sure that I’m ready, but I still need to raise a minimum of $3,000 to ride. Once a year we gather as a full Tribe for a weekend of learning and laughter we call the Great Get Together. I am on my way there now, for our 2018 gathering.
But it was during our GGT 2016 that a certain couple turned every head.

Weezie and Bramble.
Weezie, formally named Louise Ford, was fearless. Absolutely fearless.

She came to us as a serial entrepreneur, author, bon vivant and sportswoman with a deep love of horses and dogs.
Bramble, her omnipresent canine companion, regularly joined us for dinner as he has never been anything less than beautifully behaved.
Weezie quickly became an integral part of our community and one of the Ambassadors who saw the potential of our fundraising program right away. Her Get Together Give Togethers were (more often than not) set up to benefit her favorite animal welfare charities.
In late January, Weezie suffered a horrific horse riding accident and spent several weeks in the hospital.
Her bed there was turned into a command center of sorts as she devoted much of her time to keeping in touch with her vast network of friends around the world, including dozens of IH Ambassadors, and plotting her return to GTGTs. She may have been broken to bits but her spirit never wavered.
Weezie seemed to be on the mend, and though she was heartbroken to be told by doctors that she couldn’t join us for our Slice of England trip, she caused a delighted stir when she was well enough to dial into our weekly leader calls.
Then the unthinkable happened for someone who seemed to have nine lives. Weezie slipped suddenly away in early May, much to the shock of us all.
Among those left behind are a son, a Bramble and a community of entrepreneurs who are newly inspired by the woman who brought her dog to a ballroom and showed us all how to live an extraordinary life.
At the suggestion of @nannerih we’ve created an award in her honor. The Louise Ford Grace & Grit Award will be presented this weekend. Weezie, seen here in the middle of an ambassador cluster, will forever be in our hearts.

My name is Megan. I'm born & raised in San Francisco. I'm Filipina-Latina with big hazel eyes and very tanned bronze skin. I have a petite, busty body with a slim waist and a little plump butt. My hair is currently blond(ish). It's very thick & runs down my back. My occupation is modelling which I enjoy very much. I also like to work with animals. I took a couple of vet. tech. classes and I'd like to continue with them when I get out. I love to go horseback riding on the beach. I'm a very outgoing, outdoorsy kinda woman, enjoying swimming, running and going to the batting cages, maybe even a baseball game. I also love to travel, to sing and to write songs. I love fast cars. I'm looking for someone who is single or in a relationship where it’s not an issue to have me as a friend (with benefits?). I’m very bisexual. I’d like to meet someone who is honest, caring and has his/her head on straight: a person who will write me and make me feel like I’m not doing this time alone. I like men who are older (and sometimes men who are too young). Men must have big hands and know how to use them, must be gainfully employed and have goals in life. I like tallness, too; slim or fat, I really don’t mind. As for women, I’m not all that picky since I just adore women. I love big boobs, though, and sexy hair. I love people with great minds and big hearts.
I’m currently single, so let’s start writing and see where this goes. Please write back with a pic and tell me something about you, with a phone number if you’d like to get a call.

I meant to get through a couple of Hollywood horsies for this series today, but work was stupid and got in my way. So tonight we’ll go with back to back posts and add “Buck” to this discussion. Before that, a funny & cute little story. I used to be a Fire Inspector, which meant going around town making sure businesses were following fire codes for the safety of their patrons, and one of our target hazards were bars. We have a small college in town, and bars can pose some interesting safety risks when they fill up with young students enjoying their first years away from home, so it’s important to keep them as safe as possible. Anyways, I go into one of the dirtiest dive bars I’ve ever been in, but it’s only 2:00 pm and the place is empty. All except for this one couple, probably in their late seventies, sitting next to each other in a corner booth, watching Bonanza reruns and drinking PBR, while halfway focused on a Keno game. Work hard all your life, raise your kids, what else is there to do on a rainy Tuesday afternoon besides hang out in a dive bar and watch Bonanza. Ha! Anyways, on to the story of Buck. Lorne Greene got to pick out his own horse to ride as the patriarch of the Cartwright family, and out of a corral holding 29 ponies he picked this buckskin beauty. It’s thought that Greene wasn’t necessarily a real fan of riding horses, but he fell in love with Buck from day one, and wanted him to see a good retirement life after Bonanza came to an end. So Green bought the horse in 1972, then immediately donated him to the Fran Joswick Therapeutic Riding Center in San Juan Capistrano, California. For the rest of Buck’s days he would take disabled or injured children and adults on rides, giving them a chance for a bit of emotional therapy as they recovered or lived with brain injuries or other mental health concerns. Buck outlived many of his old Hollywood horse acting pals, passing away in 1992 and the age of 45.

I had some extra time and I decided to drive around the neighborhood as there are lots of cool old houses around there. I randomly turned down a street and ended up here. This was the place where I rode my first horse- I hadn’t been here since I was a little girl. It’s exactly the same - the little run-down house, the corral, the bridge. Just crazy. 🐎
I’d ridden ponies since I could walk, but my grandpa decided it was time to move on and up. From that day forward, we went riding every week, through Griffith Park, and in Agoura, and all over the hills and oaks and streams of Valencia before the housing developments erased their beauty. We explored everywhere.
🐎
The horse took off with me that day. I can still hear my grandpa yelling “pull him up!!!” I didn’t fall - but I did learn about the humbling and breathtaking power of these gorgeous animals and it sealed a lifelong love. 🐎
Both my grandpa and my stepfather stood in for a dad who was pretty much lost to me. But it was Harry who recognized that I wanted mountains and galloping and amazing adventures, and was the man who taught me so many of the things I cherish the most. 🐎
I miss you today. Xo your little buckaroo.

I love the physical freedom and the mental freedom; flying requires a focus that forces everything else to leave my mind. I like that the feeling of keeping the helicopter in equilibrium is similar to the way we, as riders, keep our center of gravity in balance with the movement of the horse, also, I like that both horses and helicopters generally require you to keep both hands and feet on the “controls.” #pilot #femalepilot #helicopter #helicopterpilot #aviation #sky #equestrian #horsegirl #lightspeedosh

Okay FUNDRAISER RE-CAP💰🏆🌠 - so as you all know, we did it. WE DID IT. I supervised the transfer of funds to @gateway_area_community_center last week and am kind-of recovered from 4000+ miles of riding 🏍💨 took a moment, and I want to congratulate ALL OF YOU for getting the job done. ❤️
The goal was to do a super focused fundraiser for a traceable cause that benefitted youth in my hometown of #clintoniowa . That was achieved. The center and the youth were so grateful. So to my fans, friends, family and loved ones, I say thank you. Be proud. Amidst all the madness in the world we got organized and we did a dang good thing. ❤️
Special shoutout to @publicuslv in #LasVegas which I stopped at on the ride! Some old friends there made a very generous donation in the final hours that brought us over the finish line. I love them and hope we can work together on a good cause again soon. 😍 Special thanks to @clintonharleydavidson for organizing a dope escort into the center at the end of the ride and general brotherhood. Thanks to all the riders! Thank you to the @clintonherald for the coverage and promotion. Thanks @hdworldokc for saving my ass on the road. Thanks to @glendaleharley for the prep to the beast! And again. To all of YOU. ❤️❤️❤️
Oh also the talent show was NUTS!!!! So much talent and potential. Congrats to all the winners and judges. Let’s do this again soon y’all.

It seems like the other day when tears were streaming and I was waving endlessly to my parents driving away. Now, I’m crying again, but for happier reasons😅. I always knew time here would go fast, but it flew. I love Ohio University. This home away from home gave me adventures I never thought I'd have like horseback riding with the Ohio Fellows, traveling to Cambodia with the Global Leadership Center, or organizing a retreat for Student Alumni Board. OHIO gave me friendships I never thought I would have. As a journalism major, I tried just about everything because of my curiosity, creativity, and my love for simply trying it all. OHIO challenged me intellectually, I gained more confidence, and I transformed into a leader. May 5 I’ll graduate from journalism, attain a Spanish minor, and hold a GLC Certificate. Share the love I have for OHIO today!

I have been riding the tides of intensity, fullness, & shifts for the past few weeks.
mental thought loops churning & ‘doing’ actions.
feeling not fully like myself - the space between where my present consciousness was and where I knew my truth rooted in love existed
not that things have been bad by any means- this sacred life experience has not been altered- I’ve still had radical moments of joy and ‘functioned’ in the world just fine-my point of perspective was just not as grounded. ⠀⠀⠀⠀
but I am so grateful for this.
any time roots feel as through they are being pulled up, we are being given divine contrast and fuel to elevate our Being.
this contrast has delivered the divine reminders that:
I do not fear my own errors

I fully allow the chaos of rediscovery
I am the whole, both the dark and the light
I honor my heart, and of course it is big enough to hold all of my nature within its graceful light

I witness my darkness with compassion and I become able to dance with all of my being, light and dark, in graceful acknowledgment of my divine wholeness
This gentle reminder to accept has brought me radical peace.
If you have been feeling similar at all, I hope these too serve you and return you to your center of pure, whole, love.

affirmations from a card pulled from the Rumi Oracle Deck: ‘The Lion and the Deer’ 🙏🏼

It looks like you got to a little bit of a deep distance .That is always preferable than arriving long and weak .Riding up to a little bit of a snug distance only sharpens a good jumping pony (?) like yours by encouraging him to get his front legs up and out of the way fast . Your pony doesn't use his neck much in the air ,but that doesn't bother me at all . You have a bit of hunch in your back ,This is usually a result of riding to the jump with to deep and driving seat .( this may also explain the deep distance ) Avoid "pushing" on the approach to jumps. It;s smoother ,easier and you'll produce more clear rounds by setting a pace ,and then do your best to find the distances out of that given pace . Also try to arrive at the base with your weight supported by your heels and avoid riding behind the motion .Whether you approach in a full seat or a half seat ,you'll be more effective "with the motion " with a flat ( not rounded ,or arched back ) . You will also loose that ducking look with your head when you don't leave the ground from the back seat of the saddle . I can't see your leg because of the standard and flag ,but if I had to guess,I'd say you may want to ride a hole longer . A short stirrup cramps your position and can contribute to riding behind the horse's center .This can lead to a sore back . The horse's back is strongest where the shoulders ,back and withers converge .That's where you want to spend your time !!! I hope this resonates for you .Lastly I love some of the obstacles I see in the background . There is nothing more empowering than jumping something nice and solid or over a ditch or up and down a bank .I wish we had more jumping derbies here in California's show jumping scene . Have a great Summer !!!” Guest Judged by Kevin McGinn

But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

I’ve been thinking about the arc of perfection over the course of a lifetime. Getting good at anything in life takes practice and the necessity of repeatedly embracing failure before mastery. Learning to indoor surf as a first timer was a great visual of the failure to mastery process. The one hour session was 30+ minutes of face planting, 10 minutes of knee drops, 15 minutes of wobbly riding, and 5 minutes of proficiency, which for me, was mastery. I was grateful for an experienced guide, my son, @christianshawn696 who coached me on where to place my feet, where to center my weight, where to fix my gaze, and above all, praised and encouraged my effort. Whatever the hardship or seemingly impossible endeavor, keep failing until perfection comes. #neverquit

but here, they are 100% taken care of, no chains, no riding, no tools to punish them. there is a great volunteer program as well that visitors and locals can participate in. we need more sanctuaries like these to help protect animals from the cruelties of humankind.
an amazing educating experience.

I went up to Grand Targhee in the Teton mountains with Teton Addaptive, National Ability Center, and all of my wheelie friends and did some downhill mountain biking. Got me some road rash to prove it. Just like I was riding my bike.
What I learned is.. We’ve got to have patience not just in ourself but others to. Always stay humble!! Sometimes we think we’re better than we really are.
Trying something new or something we haven’t done in a while can be challenging and frustrating at times to get back to the level we really are. What it’s really taught me is when that happens. Is to just stop. Take a look around and admire the beauty of it all. The world is a beautiful place. How lucky are we to have such small challenges when what we’re really having is the time of life?? It’s a gift just to be alive.
Then I went paragliding last night and as I was looking down on life and had a moment of gratitude that almost gave me goosebumps. It’s so calm and peaceful up there. I couldn’t think of a better way to end the weekend doing what I love with people that truly matter.
I feel like I have a deeper respect for birds and can connect with them on a deeper level. My eyes are always up in the sky and the freedom that brings. Life is limitless!! Thank you @projectairtime I feel like luckiest guy in the world! #TeamSuperfly
Time matters. People matter. And moments are what life is made of! #maximumgraditude
