When someone talks to me about aesthetic goals I'm rolling my eyes on the inside. I find it dull. I find it boring. I find it superficial. & I find it basic. But, I am wrong.

I believe that aesthetic based training stems from a level of insecurity [wait for it, don't @ me] It's a need to "better" yourself externally. You can't deny that. It's the idea that you're not "enough" just the way you are. That your self worth, self acceptance, self esteem is based on your physical appearance. We can't question these things. You can argue that it's about "confidence!" But understand that confidence is based on your outer appearance & has nothing to do with who you are as a person, what you do, how you treat people & how you will be remembered.

But should we look down on people who choose to train for aesthetics? No. I am wrong to roll my eyes. I find it 'basic' but that 'basic' is someone else's journey. It's someone's coping mechanism. It's someone's attempt to feel better about themselves. It's their choice & their journey. & it's a journey that many of us have gone through.

Before we start judging others for being 'superficial' let's not forget where we started. The mistakes we made. The 1973929 sit-ups we did everyday. The fads we bought into every time we preach #selflove and hashtags lifegains. We've been there. We've done that. & we bought the living la Vida low Carb T-shirt.

If your self-worth doesn't rely on your physical appearance then you are lucky. If you are confident within yourself without needing to change your outer appearance you are literally winning. But it's not fair to tear down or judge others who aren't there yet. Note to self.

Siéntate cómoda, cierra tus ojos y mantente consciente de cada una de tus respiraciones. Trata de calmar tu mente.
Al inhalar por la nariz infla tu abdomen como un globito, expande tu pecho y abre la parte superior de él.
Exhala por la boca lenta y profundamente saca todo el aire pegando tu ombligo a tu espina dorsal.
Repite éste ejercicio por 3 minutos.
Respirar *Te mantiene en la "Zona verde". Zona que le comunica a tu cuerpo que está a salvo para quemar grasa como energía.
Respirar:
*te hace mas consciente a la hora de tomar desiciones ya que te brinda paz
*te devuelve vida
*te oxigena
*te incrementa hormonas de felicidad y armonía.

solo entreno (por ahora) piernas 1 vez por semana, los lunes: glúteos 🍑martes: hago femoral 🏋🏻‍♀️y los jueves cuadriceps🏋🏻‍♀️🙈 ( esta semana hice martes cuadriceps para coincidir con el entrenamiento de piernas de @robertodelamo y entrenar con el ) ahora que no estoy entrenando el tren superior aprovecho y toco los demás días algún ejercicio recordatorio de todos los grupos musculares inferiores pero muy light ( mas que nada por aprovechar el entrenamiento y no ir solo hacer cardio al gym 😂😂😂😂😂 siempre diré, que si entrenáis las piernas como las tenéis que entrenar... 🔥💪🏾no hace falta que la hagas ni 2 ni 3 veces por semana... Counting macros is a tool, & you only know which tool to chose when you know the job. So let’s consider a few different ‘jobs’: .
👉🏼 Getting shredded: If your goal is to get very ripped you will need to count macros. By ripped I mean men chasing a muscular physique below 10% bodyfat, or women looking to go below 17%. Achieving this type of leanness requires a level of patience & consistency in your food intake that is easiest to achieve by tracking macros. This is self evident in the reality that the virtually the whole spectrum of physique athletes track their macros. .
👉🏼 Getting lean: If your goal is to get lean then I’d suggest periodic macro counting.  In terms of lean I mean men in the 10-14% body fat range & women at 17-21% bodyfat. The reason I’d suggest trying part time tracking is that you can learn a huge amount about food & your body from periodic tracking, without letting it impact too much on your social life. .
Periodic tracking would also apply to athletes during different phases of their training. For example I would recommend dialling things in with their diet leading up to & even through the competitive season season each year, to help them peak for performance both with their training and their body-composition. .
👉🏼 Getting healthy: If your goal is to just get healthy and sustain this, then I’d consider tracking for a little while to learn about food & macronutrients. For getting healthy I’m talking about getting to around 12-17% bodyfat for men & 21-26% for women. For this goal you’ll want to choose the lowest stress and most sustainable approach possible. Tracking for a little bit at first & tracking the occasional weeks when you want to dial things back in, will help you learn how to make better food choices, without too much stress. .
Tracking macros is a powerful tool. Not only does it allow you to control your caloric deficit to ensure fat loss, but it handles you macros in a way that can promote better partitioning of nutrients, superior muscle maintenance, better athletic performance & hormonal health.

Don’t get it twisted, cardio is by no means BAD or USELESS as it does have other health benefits and can be an additional tool to aid in fat loss but it is by no means a necessity to do so.

Some are performance athletes, training to perform better in their athletic endeavours.

Some are purely into aesthetics, trying to fill out a large shirt to pick up chicks or trying to build a booty because, well, big booties are "in" right now.
Some are trying to feel better, because their current lifestyle leaves them feeling tired/immobile/weak/sick.
Some are trying to live longer, because they know resistance training increases bone density, blood flow, heart health, and pretty much every other marker of a healthy human.
And some are there just...because. Because lifting is the cool thing to do right now. "Do you even lift, bro?" Do you know what the coolest part about fitness is?
The fact that we can have such a wide range of goals that still fall under the umbrella that is "fitness." An Olympic swimmer, a beginner badminton player, a provincial champion physique athlete, and a yoga newbie all walk into a bar. What do they have in common?
They're all making an effort to better themselves, day in and day out.
They all strive for progression in they're respective interests.
They all deserve exactly the same amount of credit as the next for striving to be "better" tomorrow than they are today.
You know that guy who always skips leg day, and his arms resemble that of a full grown silverback gorilla? Did you ever think...he doesn't give one F about having big legs?
You know that girl who has a layer of fat over her muscles, but continuously lifts insane amounts of weight? Did you ever think, she doesn't give one F about aesthetics?
Unfortunately for you, it's not your decision, duty, or right to decide if someone else's fitness goals are "wrong." How can people honestly have the audacity to imply that their goals are superior to anybody else's?
The neat thing about having your own body is, you can do whatever you damn well want with it, and nobody can stop you.

Usually perform my incline flyes with DBs but earlier this evening I opted for cables tonight and I can safely say my melons were squeezed 🍉⚡️🍉⚡️ the cables maintain tension on your pecs throughout the entire range of motion (mirroring your body's strength curve), where DBs usually fall down in this respect when they're directly above your head. Relleno:
1 taza de quinoa cocida

Aderezo:

Ajo en polvo
Sal y pimienta al gusto

1) Cocinar por 10 minutos la quinoa en 2 tazas de agua. Colar y dejar enfriar.
2) Con ayuda de un cuchillo cortar la parte superior de los tomates y luego con una cucharilla retirar la pulpa para que queden ahuecados.
3) En un recipiente mezclar la quinoa ya fría con el pepino, aguacate, pimentón y añadir el aderezo elaborado con yogur. Mezclar bien y rellenar los tomates.

I see most guys necking their whey protein shake literally seconds after their last set, like it's a race to get it in before they "lose all their gains" and muscle starts eating away at itself.

This so called 'anabolic window' where you must consume protein immediately after the workout is massively over exaggerated. The window is far longer than you have been made to believe. Getting a dose of protein within a few hours is certainly reccomended if your goal is building muscle and it is not doing any harm by having a shake soon after. Just do not feel its vital to get that shake in within 16 seconds of your last rep.

Don't be drinking your whey protein shake during the workout like I have seen so many do! You want the blood in the target muscles not having to deal with digestion while you are training.

Supplements are not the answer to changing your physique. Consistency, correct programming and the correct nutritional requirements for your goals will be 99% of the results! Unfortunately the supplement industry is a fast growing financial goldmine and people want shortcuts.

Whey protein is a cheap, very convenient and an effective protein source that I would highly recommend but it is certainly not essential and does not need to be consumed immediately after your session. Get a dose of 25-30g of any protein source to spike protein synthesis within a couple of hours is great and whey protein is a great option due to its superior amino acid profile.

Lo más importante en el entrenamiento de fuerza es y será siempre poder controlar tu propio peso antes de incrementar la carga. De nada sirve la fuerza máxima de un solo músculo si el resto del cuerpo no lo puede soportar.
Te invito a que intentes realizar este ejercicio al nivel que domines y poco a poco lo vayas progresando.
Solo recuerda:
➡️Mantener la alineación del cuerpo
➡️Las manos al ancho de los hombros va a hacer más enfasis en el tríceps braquial
➡️Las manos separadas va a hacer más énfasis en el pectoral mayor
➡️Si no puedes en esa posición, apoya las rodillas pero manteniendo siempre la alineación
➡️Si todavía no puedes, realizalo colocando las manos en un plano inclinado

A maioria das pessoas não entende que para ter um bom abdômen, você precisa perder gordura do abdômen, e você faz isso queimando mais calorias do que você consome ao longo do dia.
- Coma os alimentos certos
Isso é importante para ter um bom abdômen. Mas, ingerir certa quantidade de calorias significa que elas precisam ser calorias saudaveis! Se você ingerir 1800 calorias de besteira, as chances são de que você não vai ver aquele abdômen. Se foque em frutas, vegetais, grãos integrais, carnes magras (frango, peixe) e fique longes de alimentos doces, processados, pães brancos e alimentos com muita gordura.
- É preciso comer uma proporção adequada de gordura/carboidrato/proteína.
Há outra parte na equação de como conseguir o abdômen que você quer e isso é quanto de cada categoria você deve consumir. Se 95% da sua dieta vêm de carboidratos, que te dão energia, a energia que não é usada será transformada em gordura. O Guia de Nutrição quebra cada categoria, e elas mudam todo mês pelos 3 meses. No primeiro mês, a proporção de gordura/carboidratos/proteína é de 20/30/50 (porcentagem de calorias). No segundo mês 20/40/40 e no terceiro mês 20/50/30.
-Faça os exercícios abdominais certos
Se você quer saber como ter um abdômen definido, você precisa se certificar de que está fazendo os exercícios abdominais certos. Fazer 30 sit-ups achando o bastante não vai funcionar. Você precisa de uma rotina abdominal. E a recomendação adequada é a de uma rotina vigorosa de 15 minutos que você aprenderá a amar e odiar ao mesmo tempo. As a natural female you have to be cautious of the training programs that you adopt because not all of them allow for adequate recovery in between sessions. I'm noticing an increasing amount of programs promoting 3 high volume leg/glute workouts per week claiming to be the ticket to superior growth and though that is not necessarily wrong it does not necessarily apply to you, my reader. Increasing your training volume on a particular body part is one way to promote hypertrophy but not if it pushes you into the territory of over-training. As a natural female, you have to come to terms with the fact that your rate of recovery in between workouts is not going to be that of the #bodybuilding pros who are taking supplementation that increases their recovery time. What works for them may not necessarily work for you and this is not because you are not working hard enough but probably because you are working *too* hard. Your muscles grow at rest and if your training program does not allow for adequate rest in between workouts then you are likely to be limiting your growth potential. -

As a natural female, if you want to train your lower body three times a week I would recommend limiting yourself to 3-4 sets of 2-3 movements per session. My personal preference is 1-2 moderate-high volume sessions per week with at least 2 days in between lower body workouts.

Hace 4 años atrás me llegan a preguntar si quería perder masa muscular de la zona superior de mi cuerpo y hubiera dicho un NO rotundo! Estaba encantada con mi físico y más con lo que me había costado alcanzarlo! Pero con el paso de los años no se si es la edad o simplemente es que me canso de todo muy rápido 😂😂😂😂 pero ya no me gustaba verme tan musculosa ( en los brazos ) tuve que regalar muchas chaquetas buenas porque ya no me servían ninguna, jolin !!! Ahora que lo pienso me “arrepiento” jijiji... 😢👚 aunque por otra parte me alegro de haberlo hecho, porque eran personas que lo necesitaban.
Al grano, hoy por hoy los que lleváis años siguiendo mis pasos, mi objetivo ahora mismo es todo lo contrario, es perder masa muscular de la zona superior y ganar masa muscular en la zona inferior, tengo la gran ventaja de tener una genética bestial para desarrollar masa muscular, pero también tiene su parte negativa y es que me cuesta perderla, llevo años intentando perder masa muscular en los brazos, pero baja a cuenta gotas 💧

⭕️ Los tres ejercicios implican de manera directa la extremidad inferior, el core y la extremidad superior.
⭕️Se observo que el erector espinal tenía una mayor contribución en el swing que en el snatch.
⭕️En el caso del oblicuo externo contralateral fue mayor en el snatch y en el clean que en el swing.
⭕️El vasto lateral es clave para controlar la rodilla durante los ejercicios. ↑Act. En el swing en comparación con el clean.

A pesar de que, como todos estudios, tiene sus limitaciones y podemos interpretar otras cosas distintas a los resultados, podemos decir que el trabajo con pesas rusas es una variante más a tener en cuenta.

Honestly, I really did expect strength to come out on top. However, given the trends that come and go in the world of health and fitness, I can see how “mobility” would have more support right now, as mobility specialists are popping up more often (in case you think I’m a hater, I am one of those certified mobility specialists, for the record lol, so no hate to anyone - there are lots of great guys and gals out there that you could benefit from). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Anyway, in my opinion, based on my understanding of what contributes to health and longevity, STRENGTH TRAINING is going to be a [far] superior option.

Well, let’s tease out what we can in an Instagram post:

Firstly, is strength training not just mobility training with load? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you perform a dumbbell overhead press, for example, you are taking your shoulder into most of the flexion/abduction that it will have available. You are training through that range, but also preserving that range. If you perform a squat, you are using all of the hip flexion range that you have available. If you perform a seated leg curl, you are training your hamstrings in their lengthened range, again, training and preserving that range.

Let’s not just take my opinion though. Obviously, for me to justify strength training as a means of maintaining or INCREASING joint range of motion, we would need something to support that.

Well, luckily, Morton et al. (2011) investigated this in their paper titled: “Resistance Training Vs Static Stretching: Effects On Flexibility And Strength”. While this is just one study that needs replication, the results showed no significant differences between resistance training and static stretching for improving flexibility. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Saraiva et al. (2014) also found that “the resistance training program increased flexibility levels in all of the joints assessed, independently of the exercise order in both training groups” in Elite Judo Athletes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀

❓ Have you ever been so immersed in an activity that nothing else seems to matter?
🌊 Flow state refers to just that: being so involved in activity that you temporarily forget about anything else. Time seems to slow down and fly by all at once, the ego/self disappears, and you are using your skills at the top of your abilities. Everything seems to feel right and it’s like you are tapping into a new level of focus, creativity, and consciousness.
↪️ Flow is a peak state of consciousness where we feel and perform our best. It is available to everyone, and most people can recall instances of this happening to them...in sports, activities, games, music, presentations etc.
☑️ TRANSIENT HYPOFRONTALITY is a phenomenon that flow researchers point to as one of the mechanisms behind flow state.
↪️ This means that parts of the brain literally deactivate and shut down/become quieter during flow. The key areas that shut down happen to be in the prefrontal cortex (where thinking happens)
↪️ This includes areas involved in producing sense of self and self awareness (superior frontal gurus) and self monitoring/impulse control.
🌊 Flow state is all about being in the zone, being relaxed, and not overthinking...just reacting naturally. We now know what is going on in this state through brain imaging and neuroscience.
