Saying bless you feels like a really stupid example because its so meaningless but its totally valid... its valid because if you stop saying “bless you” people will attack you... Im saying this from personal experience... .

Here’s this thing that everyone does without logic or questioning... without even knowing why they say it... but if they stop saying it, they will be attacked... that is pure insanity... .

Even the people who are attacking them have no idea why they are so offended when someone does not say “bless you” after a sneeze...all they know is you’re “supposed to” say it, so if you dont, its somehow rude 🤷🏼‍♂️

This is two meaningless words... literally have no reason behind them... yet EVERYONE says some version of “bless you” when people sneeze...even when I explain this concept to people and they realize how senseless it is, they still struggle to stop saying, it the next time someone sneezes

Now my point is, if we cant even choose to stop saying two meaningless words without people pressuring us, attacking us, and having an emotional response to us not saying these two words... how will we ever break the norm and create a unique amazing life?

If we, as individuals cannot feel confident and independent enough to break this minor/ ridiculous social norm, then how will we ever break all the other major social norms? The answer is we WONT...if we are too insecure to stop mindless/ no meaning “bless you’s” then we will definitely struggle to be unique in other ways

And yes, also for strength and size gains... as a natural bodybuilder we must manipulate all those things in cycles to maximize our progress both on a bulk and on a cut... the two cycle are dependent on each other for maximal progress

When in a cut/fat loss cycle your metabolism slows, hormone production decreases, your brain gets foggy, injuries accumulate, and your mind gets tired... this is because your body is “technically” starving and malnourished and to combat that, it prioritizes the important things inside your system.. our bodies do this to keep us alive......If you stay in a cut too long you’ll notice your fat loss progress slows way down and this is why, its trying to keep you alive
.
.
So to get your system back to normal you fire it up with a bulk cycle... eat a lot, train a lot, and your body balances out over time... stay in a bulk too long and the same thing happens, your muscle gain slows for the same reasons, your body seeks stability... so it’ll get use to whatever you throw at it for long periods of time... .
.
So this is why we cycle, right when the body gets use to our bulk and /or cut cycle, we switch the program... this maximizes our program
.
.
Our bodies are very systematic... but we can use that to our advantage as long as we understand how to manipulate it
.
.
So to all the chronic bulkers out there, you’re at some point just wasting your time... its time to cut... 🔪🔪🔪

I see so many people prioritize just one thing in life while they ignore the rest... even successful people, whom I look up to, and have built massive wealth and freedom... they still seem to lack that wisdom and mental development... its so strange to me

You’ll hear me discuss the “bros” in the gym all the time... and really, thats their problem... they seek only external growth to cover up their their lack of internal growth... they might be buff and huge (steroids) but inside, they are still insecure, ignorant, and basic

So while today is day one of the cut/fat loss season, dont forget to also focus on your mental health, financial growth and personal growth... we do want to get shredded, but we also want to have balance... these things can be multitasked... .

Now this statement might sound kind of harsh and judgmental and you’d be right...but here’s the #truth ; people get WAY too obsessed with being humble when they have nothing to be humble about... in fact, they end up being so focused on “staying humble” or “dont be cocky” or “dont forget where you came from” that they talk themselves out of even achieving anything great... they dont allow themselves to become overconfident and hyper focused on their goals because they might “become a bad person”

Now don’t get me wrong, I agree that once you achieve greatness and become massively successful you should still remain a good person, don’t forget the people that have been there for you, and help others as much as you can... but focusing on all that comes AFTER you achieve, not before... because “staying humble” keeps average people average
.

The actual definition of humble is;
1)Having a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance
2)Of low social, administrative, or political rank
3)Lower in dignity or importance
.

Now does that sound like something we should preaching for people to feel about themselves?? In a society that already struggles with their confidence, mental image, and life problems... people searching for a better life are told to devalue themselves by “stay humble” and they eat that shit up unknowingly... this is max level social programming and its creating more unsuccessful, unfulfilled, and unhappy people... its literally a way to keep people down without knowing they are being kept down

Our society has linked health and body image when in reality they are separated things... do they have relations to each other? Yes, but just because you are skinny does not mean you are healthy... put it this way;

•A fat person can be healthier than a skinny person if they consume more fruits and vegetables and drink more water than the skinny person

What your body appears to be on the outside is not necessarily what it is on the inside... now im not advocating to become over weight or underweight, because having a healthy body image is just as important for your mental health as it is for your physical health, because the two go hand and hand
.

But what I do want people to be more aware of is this, what your exterior body looks like should be second priority to your internal health... the scientific community is pretty much in consensus at this point that true “health” is far more impacted by:
•Fruits and Vegetable intake
•Water intake
•Sleep •Stress Management .
.
Then by what your exterior body looks like... so if you struggle with living a healthy lifestyle, changing/improving the above bullet points will be far more valuable than getting stronger in the gym or slaving on the treadmill everyday...
.
.
Master these bullet points and the energy and mental focus gained from these practices can then be utilized in more physical activities like the gym...because against popular belief; you can be as skinny or as buff as you want and still be severely unhealthy...
.
.
Its time we think of our bodies as the complex, systematic, linked, organisms they are... not any one thing will solve the entire problem of “health”

The victory is my delt veins... ever since I started in bodybuilding I would be jealous of people with great delt veins... I remember thinking “I dont have good genetics for delt veins” etc... but it was all bullshit...dont get me wrong, my delt veins aren’t massive or anything but I use to have nothing there.....they were so thin and small you couldnt even see them and now they are there... they’re growing... .

My point here is everyone faces struggle... some people are not “lucky” and have it easier... EVERYONE struggles in life... and every single success story has a back story that you probably just don’t know about

Struggle is what unites us... struggle is not unique, or special, its consistent...the thing that makes us special is how we react to that struggle... what we do with it.

I love my struggle, I embrace it... because without the poverty, family problems, drug addiction exposure, loss, and all the other things I experienced in my childhood and early adult life, I wouldnt be who I am today... I wouldn’t be this strong

Think of it this way, if you were a caveman and decided you were too depressed to go out and hunt what would happen? Would the world cater to your emotions and bring you some food to eat while you have a bad day? No,Youd die and you be dead.... so in times of survival these issues don’t exist or can be ignored because of necessity... so guess what that means? As a human we have TOTAL CONTROL over our emotions and whether or not we want to dwell on them

In our modern comfortable world we have no real struggle... we have food, clean water, shelter, and safety... and everything else we “feel” is bullshit that comes from these comforts

Next time you think your “emotional problems” are so important or out of your control, just think this, if you had to survive right now; hunt, fight, scavange, and struggle.... would your “problems” still be an issue? And the answer is almost always NO

•”You get tax breaks” Yes but if you are making the right moves in life /your finances the amount of tax breaks you’ll receive will be so small or unneeded, that it wont make a difference.. and funny how they never think about inheriting the debt of their spouse.. 🤔

I see so many people get “into” fitness ... they go hard, hella hard, insanely hard... where its their life... their “passion”... then guess what happens? They get burnt out... and they fall off
.

We have to know ourselves... know what we can SUSTAIN over our lifetime... because you cannot get healthy in a few months... health takes continual effort... so find a program that you can sustain LONGTERM... then once that program gets easy, add a little more, incrementally over a period of years
.
.
That is how you become successful at anything longterm... I cannot tell you how many people I have seen over the years suddenly adopt fitness as their “passion” in life... suddenly prepping for a show, food prepping weekly, steroid cycling, gym 7 days per week, fasted cardio every morning, etc etc etc... and after their show or after a few months, they’re never in the gym and they fall off hard... months later they return... fatter, lazier, and more inconsistent then ever... don’t be that guy or gal...be smarter ... more self aware

One of the biggest tools we have is self awareness... analyze ourselves... develop a fitness program for US based on our personality traits and lifestyle... then execute for years, slowly adjusting when needed... .

We can break that cycle by realizing the truth... truth is, it’s not too hard and it is possible... getting really lean is possible for EVERY human being... it just takes building the discipline and commitment...

Nothing you can get in life will make you mentally healthy... only YOU can do that... spending time on our mental health, thinking about our feelings, analyzing our emotions, problem solving our thoughts, and consciously changing our outlooks is the ONLY way to improve our lives and receive fulfillment...

Got off work and I forced myself to go to the #gym It was #legday so I put on my brand new short shorts, I hit my inhaler and I suffered through the 105 degree heat and bad air quality and I went to the gym.

Once in there, I struggled to find a zone and right as I started to feel better I saw this HUGE steroidy guy woddle over to the leg press, glance at my short shorts, and start laughing to himself... this destroyed my workout and to be honest, kind of wrecked me for the rest of the day... THIS is another example of the negative impact #steroids users have on non steroid users

This guys has terrible work ethic, bad form, no intensity, and no courtesy... hes the guy who stacks fifteen 45lbs plates on the leg press, does three sets in 30 minutes, then walks away and leaves the plates on the leg press for someone else to put away(he did that on this day) and for the rest of us mere mortals, we struggle, we fight through our bad day and our health problems, we still GO to the gym and try to progress... and THIS GUY mocks us ... because he thinks hes amazing and we are laughable
.

This is the impact it has when you do steroids and work 1/4 as hard as the rest of us, but look way better... it makes non steroid people feel like we are wasting our f*cking time... and it makes your ego go out of control
.

Now mind you, I was in a moment of weakness that day... sick, tired, hot, and emotional...and even with this douchebag, I still did my bare minimum workout... but I was honestly feeling bad about myself the rest of the day... but will that have lasting impact on me? F*ck No. I acknowledge all the factors related to me feeling those feelings... get me on any other day and that steroid guy would have zero impact on me...

So when you have bad days, just know that they are bad days.. let yourself feel the emotions and go through the process... and know that tomorrow is a #newday

I’d be one of those “tough guys” in the gym who only feels good in the gym, but feel like a loser in the rest of their lives... I dont want to be that guy

Typically if someone is shredded and huge but does most of the things on the above list, odds are pretty good they’re juicing.

•Cardio, this is a biggy if they’re lean as hell but their cardio “routine” is grandma walking the stair master it wouldn’t be possible for them to be lean

•They don’t have knowledge on diet: if all they say is “Eat a lot” they on STEROIDS... because to look amazing it takes an amazing amount of knowledge on your diet..and this goes well beyond macros, they’d have to know about micros, antioxidants, metabolic pathways, etc... you know, real science...👨🏼‍🔬

•They’re Insta Bio says “Natural Bodybuilder” like who you tryna convince brah?

•They don’t promote a true healthy lifestyle (they smoke, drink, party, etc) because typically if you do one unhealthy/toxic thing to yourself, you do them all

•They censor their comments on social media and block anyone who says the “S” word... because if they werent using, why would they care? 🤷🏼‍♂️

So thats my list. if someone you’re wondering about fits MOST of this criteria there’s a pretty good chance they are on ROIDS and a FAKE...that’s my opinion based on my experiences

Truth is, I do very few isolating movement for my triceps... and when I do, its rarely heavy weight... usually my rep range is between 8 and 15... .
.
Triceps is a secondary muscle group, which means, they get worked out when you do chest exercises... this means you don’t have to do tons of tricep work to progress your triceps because they’re getting worked every time you bench, do push ups, etc... so when I do isolate them, its for one or two exercises at the end of a chest day and much lower weight amount... kind of like a burn out set...triceps is like most things in the #gym , LESS IS MORE... quality is ALWAYS more important than quantity

Let me give you guys some Joediesel background info outside of fitness.. I come from a poor family, I did not come from wealth... I was the first person in my family to ever receive a Bachlor's degree from a state university, paid for by working a full time 40 hour a week job...I have a great career established where I worked my way from the bottom of the office to the top.... Im 34 and I just purchased my third house (by myself) that I bought from working sometimes 70+ hours a week...Im two years from having my first house paid in full and four years from having my second house paid in full....I am unmarried and I have no children (just some poodles lol)... ...........

How did I do this? I created my situation... I visualized it... once I got into fitness the structure it brought into my life only further strengthened my life and the progress of my goals... .....................::.:.

They all take protein right?

So shouldn’t they be looking like Arnold Schwarzenegger by now? 🤔

The truth is, there is no “key” exercise for each muscle group... there is no “special” exercise combination you need to grow massive pecs, or biceps, or legs, etc

The #truth is, you would get much better results if you just master the details of each movement. Spend less energy on looking for the “best” bicep workout and more energy on;.............
•Slow controlled reps
•No body swinging
•No ego lifting
•Lower weight
•Muscle contraction
•Mind muscle connection .
.
These things would get you waaay better results, because if you lift really heavy or do a specific exercise combo or program but you do them all wrong, sloppy, and cheat on each rep then the exercises wont grow your #muscles efficiently

Lower the weight, control the movement, don’t swing your body, lift with intensity until you cant take another rep of pain... THAT is what will maximize your muscle growth... well that and your diet... but thats a whole other caption topic

If we can put our ego and our pride aside it will enable us to lift with proper mindset and control... which will grow our #physiques dont let our emotions control us... .

When Im in the gym Im in there for ME... my only concern is maximizing my progress and getting my therapuetic release... its not a socializing experience, its not just something to do, its not how I meet girls... Its a time for me to accomplish a GOAL... and to do that I focus on strategy and technique
