I’ve found the best way that works for me and my clients is to know your body, nourish it with healthy nutrient rich foods 80% of the time and then on the odd occasion for whatever reason, you’re able to treat yourself and the best part is NO you don’t need to feel guilty afterwards. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I’m actually so embarrassed by the photo on the left but it’s been a while since I’ve posted a transformation photo of how different life used to be for me mentally and physically and that’s why I am the way I am now.

At the age of 16 was the first time I had touched drugs at a rave, drinking every weekend, not hanging around positive environments, getting into physical fights, didn't really know what I wanted except just living for the weekend, week in and week out. School and education was hardly a priority.. which ultimately led to this. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀In 2012 I had been hit by a glass bottle over the head in a drunken fight at a party which resulted in a depressed skull fracture which I still have and get headaches from to this day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Two friends drove me to the hospital with a bleeding head and seeing friends, family, police and the nurses standing there by the hospital bed, feeling helpless not knowing what was going to happen after that was basically one of the lowest points I’ve ever been in. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀
From then on I got even worse feeling sorry for myself still doing the same things with the same people, I tried going to the gym when I was at school with mates but didn’t take it seriously at all until when I finally got my license and was able to drive, I crashed my friends car drink driving on my 18th birthday when police found us at 3am stuck into a concrete wall.

With only having my license for 2 weeks, I then got suspended from driving for 12 months.. After that was when I knew shit had to change and that’s when I found the gym and took it seriously in 2013.
I got passionate with learning about weight training and loved how it made me feel, I turned it into a career, got into self and personal development, followed role models and people who I wanted to be like and the rest is history.. I now use social media and bodybuilding as a positive tool to help get my message across 6 years later.

Frequency is key to growth and improved performance however there is a thing such as overdoing it as well. Everybody is different in regards to lifestyle and goals and that usually determines how frequent you should be training. Eg. I’m currently training 4-5 times a week for 2-3 hours at a time with bodybuilding prep. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2️⃣ Intensity 🔥
In my opinion this is the most important and usually the hardest one. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Depending on what goal you’re chasing, can you say that you’re improving that 1% each time you train? Our bodies won’t change unless we give them a reason too. in order to grow, lose weight, gain muscle, “tone” up, you need to train accordingly and at a certain intensity in order to see results. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3️⃣ Nutrition 🥪🍱
Are you eating towards your goals? It’s basically as simple as that. If you’re wanting to lose weight you have to be in a caloric deficit you can do this in two ways, reducing calories or increasing the length of your training with the first two variables (which is not ideal) and if you’re wanting to gain weight/build muscle, are you fuelling your body adequately enough in order to be in a surplus and put on weight? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
