This week one of our menu items is Lambs Sheppard’s pie. Traditional Shepherds Pie is a mix of lamb or beef, potatoes, carrots and peas. Those ingredients are mixed around and meant to be enjoyed all together.😋

With our Sheppard’s Pie, our culinary team decided that the presentation wasn’t up to standard having the pie pre mixed. So they decided to keep the components of the pie separate.👩🏽‍🍳

This meal can be enjoyed either way: mixed or not but we highly recommend you mix it and try it as true traditional Sheppard’s Pie!🥧

Water is the most important thing we can give ourselves. It makes up 85% of our brain, 80% of our blood and 70% of our muscles. Water is so crucial that even a 2% drop in our intake can result is mid day brain fog, headaches and trouble focusing. Without your brain functioning properly, a lot of other physical functions basically go to 💩.

So why does a 2% change really make a difference? Well now with that 2% or greater drop everything in our body gets less oxygen. This leads to less fat mobilization, more storage of toxins, less muscle growth and can leave our immune system vulnerable and ready to be hijacked.

Many like to do cardio post workout as it is convenient. This is understandable and necessary at times when you’re in a pinch on time. But actually doing cardio post workout can have some hinderance on your muscle gains.

The best time to do cardio is upon waking. This will give you natural energy in the morning, increase endorphins and allow you to wake up naturally.

Try to keep your cardio and weight sessions separate if possible and if that is not a possibility post workout is your next best bet.

I find myself in this position way too often. (No not the posed meditation shot pictured here.) Although I do love posing for photos for a quick serotonin and dopamine boost; and meditate at very least 20 mins a day because mental health is just as important as my physical being. More on that at a later time.......

Here in the gym. No energy. No motivation. So what do I do? Put on my @oddsoxofficial Ultimate Warrior socks and double scoop of @1stphorm BCAA’s and just do it! 45 mins later I walk outta the gym knowing I killed it and I’m better than I was yesterday.
