This is my precious cat MinnieThis cat is so so special to me! I got her 12 years ago when I was living in Mexico. She was such a huge therapy to me! She was my best friend and at times my only friend. When I felt truly alone, she was always with me and she always kept me company and loved me through ... This is my precious cat Minnie🐱💘This cat is so so special to me! I got her 12 years ago when I was living in Mexico. She was such a huge therapy to me! She was my best friend and at times my only friend. When I felt truly alone, she was always with me and she always kept me company and loved me through it all. When I made the tough decision to move back home to Canada and end my life in Mexico, I brought her back to Saskatoon with me. She was with me through the hardest choice and most difficult move! Sadly, I developed terrible allergies to her. I struggled through the allergies for about a year and then when Orlando and I moved in together 7 years ago I had to find her a new home because he was extremely allergic as well. My mom thankfully took her for me and she has loved with my mom ever since💕Funny fact about my kitty is that she doesn’t understand English, only Spanish😆 So when she moved in with my mom, I taught my mom the things she needs to communicate with her. For example if she jumps up on a counter she won’t understand you if you say “Minnie get down!”, you have to say “Minnie, bájate!”. Also, if she won’t come inside we call out the door “Minniiieee, tienes hambre...?!”, which means “Are you hungry?” and then she appears out of nowhere and comes in...but then you have to feed her😆. It’s so cute listening to my mom speak Spanish to her, she’s actually pretty good! A few other fun facts about her:.
🐱she doesn’t have her front claws so she’s too scared to jump on things that are too high for her.
🐱she loves Spanish music and will actually come and lay on my moms iPad when she turns it on and will get up and leave if an English song comes on..
🐱She is the most communicative cat I’ve ever met and she aggressively goes to different places and has different meows to signal you to do what she wants. For example, she will go to the switch for my moms gas fire place and has a special meow she uses for telling her to turn it on😂.

My mom moved in with us for 2 weeks and so Minnie was at my place for a while. Sadly, I was unbelievably allergic and I got a rash on my face and lips from her😰It was well worth it for the few kitty cuddles I got❤️

It’s impossible to say that one club is better than the others because when we build each one, we put so much care and attention into detail ... Good morning everyone! Orlando and I get asked a lot which of our 3 Anytime Fitness clubs is our favourite! Honestly, we love them all for different reasons!! It’s impossible to say that one club is better than the others because when we build each one, we put so much care and attention into detail trying to make it the best it could possible be. We are fully selected our favourite equipment for each location making sure there was a variety for everyone. Over time, I can say though that each club has developed its own ‘feel’ and depending on what I’m working out, I’ll choose the club based on how I’m feeling or what kind of a workout I’m getting. For example, in this photo, I’m at the Rosewood location because I love training gluts there! I love doing my walking lunges on the purple turf and we ordered a special hip thrust platform that makes hip thrusts so much more comfortable! 💜Are you a member of Anytime? Working for that degree just to say one has a degree, or working for money just to show that one has money. Set goals everyday that challenge YOU to be a better person, that challenge YOU to work hard. Along with hard work towards any goal will come a sense of pride, self satisfaction and PURPOSE. Too often the ‘purpose’ behind people’s efforts is driven by what others think of them. This is not the path to happiness. Ask yourself today why you do what you do everyday. What are the reasons behind your daily hustle? In today’s world where everything is so fast, our days are so busy and where there are so many pressures to have certain things or live a certain way, don’t forget that your life is for YOU to live. Days, weeks and years will pass in the blink of an eye and we will all have the opportunity to look back on our lives and assess our ‘climb’. Was our climb worth the view? What will it mean to ‘get to the top’? Did your journey help you see the world through different eyes or was it about how the world would perceive you? Anyone else really MF tired after 2 nights in a row of thunderstorms!?🏻‍♀️😴 Where we used to live 3 weeks ago (a concrete loft downtown) you could never hear the rain so we would sleep through thunderstorms and hear about how wild it was in the morning. Last 2 nights in our townhouse I’ve been ... Anyone else really MF tired after 2 nights in a row of thunderstorms!?🙋🏻‍♀️😪😴 Where we used to live 3 weeks ago (a concrete loft downtown) you could never hear the rain so we would sleep through thunderstorms and hear about how wild it was in the morning. Last 2 nights in our townhouse I’ve been up and scared shitless because of how loud the storm is, it literally sounds like a tornado is ripping through the neighbourhood. Which, by the way, is exactly what I’ve been scared of and I googled ‘Saskatoon weather’ every 5 minutes from 2:30am-3:30am just to see if there were tornado warnings lol. I’m such a baby. Who else is scared of thunderstorms ⛈?!

This is absolutely NOT the case. Read on to hear more about my experience...👉🏼As a young impressionable person at 18 years old, I definitely felt that because I was bullied and mistreated that this meant that all Mexican people were like this. It’s hard not to not think this way when everyone you’ve come in contact with treats you this way...classmates, the family you live with, your boyfriend, the exchange program staff. I completely lost myself in Mexico. I lost touch with my family, I lost touch with my friends, I lost my self esteem and essentially myself. The outgoing, athletic, fun-loving person I was completely shut down and I felt like I had no identity. Being stripped of everything that makes you who you are including your language is a scary place to be. This is how I lived for a long time. Out of desperation for acceptance and safety I latched on to the only relationship that came ‘easiest’ which was with the guy I was dating (which was NOT a healthy relationship). Dangerously and unknowingly I built my identity around this relationship continuing to live in Mexico. This relationship isolated me further from having friends or family. The relationship had sucked the life out of me. I had learned how to love Mexico, the food, the culture with this person. I felt trapped. If I leave this relationship, I had no friends or support system in Mexico to cope with the break up. I would have to go home where I still had my family...and even they didn’t know me anymore. If I left, I would lose the ‘identity’ I had finally built over the last 5 years in Mexico. There finally came a day where I hit rock bottom and I left this relationship even though i knew that the price I had to pay was to lose myself as well...GUYS! This is intense! For those of you who want a hockey bum and can’t play hockey and can’t skate, I present to you the Strider at Anytime Fitness Stonebridge😁💁🏻‍♀️ This fun piece of cardio can adjust to lengthen or shorten your stride depending on your height (shorter people have a short stride so it adjust so your not doing the splits lol) and can also adjust the degree of lateral movement so you can target every area of your gluts. I like to slowly adjusts the stride degree so during cardio I target all angles. It is true, skating is one of the best activities/movements to develop great gluts and there are a variety of activities/exercises that facilitate/mimic this movement. Most cardio (elliptical, walking, running, stairs) is forward/backward motion. Skating is a lateral motion. It had been so long! We had some interesting conversation yesterday about our experiences in different cultures. I felt inspired after my conversation with my friend to share a bit about what’s made me the person I am today. Many of you may not know this, but I was an exchange student in Mexico when I was 18 years old. I was placed in a gr. 12 public high school in a small town outside of Mexico City. The very day my plane landed, I was going to have the hardest 6 years of my life to date. The moment I landed was culture shock. I did not fit in. My clothes weren’t acceptable but had no money to change that, the food made me extremely sick and people would get very angry with me if I turned down food, I had absolutely zero language to communicate, my host family took money from me, the kids at school stole money from me and to make it worse, I wasn’t allowed to communicate with my family. I learned so quickly that my role as a female in this country was very very different than what I had just been taught for 18 years in Canada. Women are whistled at, stared at, followed and cat called while walking down the street by men and even police officers. This kind of behaviour every single day starts to make you feel like you are an object and you start to feel less about yourself. My family thought I was pretty and therefore I must be promiscuous so they would lock me in my room at night and let me out in the morning to shower and go to school because ‘I couldn’t be trusted’. By the way, the men shower first, women second, and me last so I always showered in freezing cold water. This is all just tip of the iceberg. You would think that after a year like that, that I would want to come home. But no. I learned how to speak Spanish so fluently and had started dying my hair dark so people thought I was Mexican. I tried to fit in. I fell in love with Mexican culture and Mexican history. I learned to love the food (it is NOT the Mexican food you think you all know😉). I learned to dance. THIS! Was absolutely me as a young woman from high school and into my 20’s. I will always remember my first day of high school and walking into the gigantic building and my first feeling was ‘I wonder if anyone will like me?’. All through school I was always my own person, doing my own thing. But that feeling of wondering if people would like me followed me from classroom to classroom, to the hockey dressing room, to summer camp etc. This carried on into my 20’s walking into a room full of people and wondering if people would like me. When I read this quote online it absolutely made me reflect. I had this realization that I haven’t felt like that for years! I tried to sit and think when the turning point happened💭🤔. I remember my 10 year high school reunion was announced and it would be downtown Saskatoon at a restaurant in a rented room. I remember Orlando told me he would be working at the firehall. I remember my first thought. ‘*shrug* Whatever, I guess I’m going by myself.’ It didn’t even cross my mind ‘Who will go with me?’ or ‘Maybe I shouldn’t go.’ Side note, I didn’t keep in touch with not one person from high school so it was going to be a total surprise who would be there. So I went and walked into the room alone and the table already there turned to see who came in. The thought of this when I was younger would have made me so nervous. But this time, I remember thinking ‘I wonder who will be there? I wonder if I’ll like the people they’ve become?’ I didn’t once worry about whether anyone would like me. So what changed? It was in my early 20’s that I started to take care of myself. Working out, being active, eating well, learning to be comfortable with alone time and enjoying being with myself. Basically a lot of self care. As a result of taking care of myself I learned to respect and appreciate myself to the point where my mind set changed towards myself and towards other people. I can’t wait to get to know all of you seeing you around the clubs! Why do I love Anytime so much?? Because each club is a community built around friends and family...and friends become family! Everyone is welcome! Anytime Fitness is about inclusion not exclusion. Too many people workout somewhere where they feel like an outsider or like they don’t fit in. “I’m not young enough so I can’t workout there.” “I’m not a body builder so I feel like I don’t fit in.” “I’m too overweight to workout at this gym.” Unfortunately these are real feelings people have😨. What I love about Anytime is that everyone is welcome and FEELS welcome here! Whether you are overweight and have felt too shy to workout anywhere or you are an avid weight lifter and you feel like gyms want to get rid of you, you are welcome here. Come as you are with whatever goals you have and you will be received by staff and members alike as a part of our community💜 Everyone’s fitness goals are different and we don’t discriminate. Good morning!! Yes, I know it’s late for a good morning but orlando and I have been working so hard that today I couldn’t get myself out of bed until 10! My morning routine regardless of what time I wake up still has to happen. Every morning I get out of bed, make a coffee and sit in my sweats on the ... Good morning!! Yes, I know it’s late for a good morning but orlando and I have been working so hard that today I couldn’t get myself out of bed until 10!😱 My morning routine regardless of what time I wake up still has to happen. Every morning I get out of bed, make a coffee and sit in my sweats on the couch for about an hour in peace and quiet. I usually play on IG, watching videos or exploring posts. Then once I’m half through my coffee, my mind wanders into my day and I start to think about my checklist. I started this morning routine because I hated mornings and waking up was so hard for me. I used to think that the answer was to sleep as long as possible hitting snooze 3-4 times and then flying out of the house to work with zero time to eat breakfast or have coffee. I thought that because I was so tired in the morning, it made more sense to just sleep longer. So about 2 years ago I started setting my alarm half hour earlier to have tome to have coffee. Amazingly this felt so good that I wanted even more time to myself so now I set my alarm about 1hr-1.5hrs earlier so I have lots of time to hangout before I have to get ready. I swear this morning routine makes my day amazing! Having time to myself to wake up and not to have to rush out the door to work sets the pace for the day and also puts my mind in a relaxed place to tackle work and projects. So back to right now lol. My morning coffee usually starts way earlier but like I said, even if I sleep in, i need this routine to start my day! So I’m just currently finishing my coffee and it’s 11:30am and I am now awake and ready to get started😄. ☀️💕What does your morning routine consist of? Do you jump up out of bed like I used to? The daily checklist that @orlando_hamm and I follow is ever growing and expanding, new ideas come and old ones go, new spreadsheets and reports to keep track of etc. People often ask how we came up with our checklist or our daily work system and the answer is very simple. That checklist I just shared with you is always the blueprint. No matter where you work or what you do for a living, this checklist applies to you. Think about how to make people happy and then take the steps to do it. Being a trainer is one of the most rewarding and fun careers out there however🏼 if you are a trainer then ... ⭐️How is working as a coach and trainer at Anytime Fitness different?⭐️ Since I’ve been on the hunt to add 2 new full time trainers/coaches to our team, I’ve been asked this question a lot. Being a trainer is one of the most rewarding and fun careers out there however☝🏼 if you are a trainer then you know how stressful and time consuming it really is. People become trainers for a few main reasons: 🍎Passion for fitness 🍎Love for people 🍎 A desire to help others reach their goals. What typically happens when a person decides to become a trainer is they get hired on somewhere where the clubs goals don’t align with the trainers’ passions. The clubs goals ➡️ sell training and lots of it! Trainers goals ➡️ help people and love their career while their at it. What ends up happening is the trainer is put under so much stress and pressure by management to sell sell sell that the constant pressure to find more clients and be financially under pressure at all times gets to them and their passion dies. All of a sudden training isn’t so much fun anymore. What they thought was going to be a fun and rewarding career turned into being over worked. Walking the gym floor like a car sales lot trying to find clients so they can make ends meet at home, spending countless unpaid hours before and after their shift and on weekend building programs and feeling like they have to compete with their coworkers for clients. 💜At Anytime Fitness, being a trainer and coach is different which is why we call them Member Experience Coaches🙂 The difference? Our focus is building our clientele through focusing on relationships, not sales. Our current coaches have full client books that were built by community activities and friendship. Our MECs DO NOT work on programs at home, in fact, we have unique programming tools to help our coaches do more of what they love and less of what they don’t! Our coaches aren’t commission based which means they don’t pressure sell! This not only gives them peace of mind financially but it also makes our members feel good at our clubs knowing that no one will approach them EVER to sell them something! ⬇️More in the comments⬇️

Guys, when we signed up to be business owners, one thing we had no idea about was how much work it was actually going to be! No, we don’t get to choose our own schedule or go to work whenever we want. We work around the clock. We don’t sleep in. We work on weekends. But I can tell you that I have never had so much purpose, drive and motivation like I’ve had over the last 6 years! I get to wake up everyday with knowing that everything I do or choose to work on will impact my members and the quality of their experience, my staff and their work environment and Orlando and I. Before the gyms, I remember searching for meaning and depth in my life. The gyms have absolutely given me a positive focus and drive to my days. Would I do it all over again if I knew how much work it would be?? ABSOLUTELY. In a heart beat. ❓Do you own your own business? I’ve even made a list so I could redesign my IG bio and then the problem becomes what do I put on the first line?? That first line is almost like the end all be all descriptor and anyone who doesn’t know me should read that and know who I am by that one line. So I haven’t changed my bio in years because I’m not satisfied with any line. I have been filling out doctors forms with ‘self employed’ because it’s the easiest way to avoid me being stumped on what I do lol. It seems that lately everywhere I turn I run into something that demands me to define myself & it’s made me extremely thoughtful. So what DO I do for a living you ask?? I’m an entrepreneur, multiple Anytime Fitness club owner, club manager, personal training manager, personal trainer, coach, mentor, health & wellness influencer. Within each of these categories, I perform so sooo many different jobs & wear different hats on a day to day AND hour by hour basis. One minute I’m personal training someone & the next minute I’m interviewing staff. The next minute I’m formulating a plan for our growing businesses & the next minute I’m planning my next video or post for social media to inspire people. I’ve tried to choose just one thing to be to simplify my life & I end up realizing that that’s not possible. I’ve also tried to make elaborate checklists that include everything I want to do on a daily basis and end up falling short or overwhelming myself or feeling spread thin. What I’ve realized over the last 5 years is that my being has become so layered and so complex. When I was a trainer, it was easy to say ‘I am a trainer’. When we opened our first club it was easy to say ‘I am a gym owner’. When I was competing and modelling it was easy to say ‘I am a bikini competitor & fitness model’. I’ve grown so much through my 20’s that now in my 30’s, I cannot find a simple definition for ‘Sarah Maduck’. So for now, I remain undefined❤️🧡💛💚💙

I get so exhausted in the summer because I will wake up at the first crack of sunshine in the morning and then stay up until it disappears. I don’t want to miss a minute of sunshine!😎☀️ My mood and the way I feel is absolutely affected by the sun. Winter is hard for me because I tend to feel exactly what the winter weather is giving me. Tired, gloomy, lazy. In the summer I feel extremely bright, happy, energized and motivated. I have found that the key to having these summer feelings last into winter is to get into an amazing routine that I carry through the fall and into the winter and before I know it, it’s spring and I’ve been able to stretch my happy feelings through the gloomy winter months. Here’s some of the things I include in my summer routine that I try and carry through the winter: ☀️morning coffee and cardio (cardio in the morning gives me the endorphins I crave first thing in my day and helps me feel happy all day) ☀️pre-packing all my good and using really bright colores veggies (getting in a habit of eating colourful food not only gives me the different nutrients I need, but it keeps my food exciting and reminds me of summer once the winter strikes)☀️I get in a habit of doing my hair and makeup (if you’ve been following for a while, you’ve heard me talk about the importance for me to get ready. I feel more energized when I know I’ve taken the time to look nice🙂In the winter, it’s easy to start neglecting yourself and pulling the sweats and ponytail look....which is fine...except for when it turns into everyday...and everyday starts to include snacks and Netflix. Then I have a problem. Lol) ✅These 3 things are my staple to feeling healthy and happy through the winter. Let’s face it, if we live in Canada, we need to learn how to live well through the winter or half our life we will fall victim to it and suffer. Healthy habits should start NOW to prepare you for later!

I should have been squeezing his torso with my knees. But somehow the way he was holding me and the fact that I had slippery leggings on made ... I should have been squeezing his torso with my knees. But somehow the way he was holding me and the fact that I had slippery leggings on made it hard to hold on so I chose to lock my ankles around him for the sake of the picture instead. Having my knees open like that as I went down put a lot of stress on my inner thigh (sartorius). I’m the last frame you can see I started to slip from OJ’s grip as I’m pretty close to the floor and instead of letting him put me down on the floor, I decided to sit up from this position and in the moment I caused the tear in my muscle. Super dumb...but at least we have some cute pictures😛🤷🏻‍♀️ It’s been almost a month and my leg has been doing much better this week. I was able to go for a slow rollerblade and of course, sticking to my physio so that this injury doesn’t become a long term problem. ❓Have you ever hurt yourself doing something stupid?? This muscle is actually extremely difficult to injure and in order ... Starting my day with my physio. What did I injure you wonder? I have a minor tear in a muscle that makes up what you would consider your ‘inner thigh’ (sartorius for those of you who want to look it up or are familiar with anatomy. This muscle is actually extremely difficult to injure and in order to do so you pretty much have to be doing something stupid....which is exactly what I was doing lol. When people hear ‘tear’ they think completely torn right in half. There’s varied degrees of a tear and mine is a grade 1 meaning thankfully the muscle is still in tact and didn’t let go from its origin or insertion point or tear completely in half. A grade 1 year means tearing of muscle fibres happened but the majority of the muscle is still in tact. Having said that though I cannot even begin to tell you how much pain i was in for almost 3 full weeks!! Constant throbbing, muscle cramping and stiffness. If you’ve seen me around the gym you probably have seen my constantly limping around. For the first 2.5-3 weeks it was impossible to go up and down stairs (I have stairs to my parking lot and stairs to my bed lol) as bearing weight in it would result in severe pain and cramping. I would wake up in the morning unable to straighten my leg. Demonstrating exercises has been absolutely impossible so my co-workers have had to help me at work. In the last few days I’ve tried out a slow rollerblade which was tough because I can’t take s full stride because my leg is so tight and still throbs. So little baby strides is where it’s at and it looks like I’m a little kid learning to skate. The minute you open the door to an Anytime Fitness club ANYWHERE around the world, you will walk into a sheltered, brightly lit lobby. Sheltered from what? The people working out! For some people, walking in through massive sliding doors of a big box gym and being immediately in plain sight of everyone working out is intimidating. A lot of people look at the adversities they face, hardships, struggles and stresses as negative ... When I think of the person I am today and how I’ve become who I am, I realize that a lot of my most positive characteristics were actually shaped during the hardest most challenging moments of my life. A lot of people look at the adversities they face, hardships, struggles and stresses as negative or ‘why me’. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve definitely felt this way too in my darkest moments. However, looking back, I realize that the most self-development I’ve ever done happened at a time where change was forced on me as my only option for survival. This realization has helped me face struggles with a new view point. Now I look at the cards that are dealt to me and ask myself ‘Ok, what do I need to change?’. Now my stresses or problems motivate me and I see an opportunity for growth and change. I know that if I work hard and fight hard to overcome what I’m going through, I’ll become a better version of myself for it. Emotional struggles can lead to a new and more positive outlook on life that can attract better opportunities. Financial struggles can help us grow work ethic and creativity that can bring about more success in our future. Relationship stress can cause us to learn more about the other person therefore helping us build a stronger foundation for a deeper relationship. With each new club, we’ve put careful thought into the selection of the equipment so that our members could have a unique workout experience at each club. We’ve even been able to pick a few novelty pieces that we had our eye on. I was most excited about the Watson Gym Hip Thrust Bench and the Hoist Glute Master! If you do hip thrusts then you will LOVE this piece of equipment! No more dragging a bench across the room, having it slide out from underneath you or struggling to get under the weight! Also, the adjustable foot piece helps to target different areas of the glutes & hams as well as prevents your feet from slipping with its specially designed non-slip surface! With the shape and stability of the bench and foot piece, I can comfortably lift more weight without struggling or slipping! As for the Hoist Glute Master, I absolutely love the angle of the kick-back! It targets the hamstrings, ham/glute tie-in and all 3 major glute muscles in one smooth motion. As you push, the support system moves with you to help you stay under the foot piece which helps keep the glutes and hams as the primary focus. This is something I love because stationary glute kick-back machines always seem to have either too much engagement from the quads or not enough range of motion for a complete squeeze in the glutes. I’ve spoken with clients and friends and heard people either complain about jobs, relationships etc and then say that they can’t give up because they’ve spent so much time trying to make it work. The feeling of emotional attachment to something we’ve worked hard for is understandable. However your time, resources, emotions and life are valuable too. Know when to stop. Know your worth and know when your energy is better spent in other areas of your life. Know that moving on doesn’t mean giving up. It means you’re valuing yourself and other areas of your life enough to know when too much is just too much. This message can be applied to sooo many different circumstances! I hope that if you’ve been over investing yourself in any way, shape or form that this message can be a source of reflection as well as encouragement to be strong and confident in making some potential changes for yourself! ⭐️Tag someone who could use this message!⭐️

No, it’s not about looking a certain way before we wear the clothes we like (although I do know that some people’s goals ... Summer☀️The most anticipated time of year!! The lake, beaches, BBQs and summer clothes to beat the heat. The time of year when unfortunately, many of us use clothing to hide. No, it’s not about looking a certain way before we wear the clothes we like (although I do know that some people’s goals may including shedding a few extra lbs from winter). This post isn’t about saying you should wear a thong to the beach ( I like avoiding tan lines in countries where it is most likely I won’t run into my dad😛). This post is about self esteem and self confidence and what I want to share comes from my own experience with my own body and my own mind and I hope it helps you reflect on your own mind/body relationship. There was a time when I was so hard on myself and I wouldn’t want to be in a bikini unless I had gotten rid of every ounce of fat on my body. My butt, my thighs, my tummy. I’d put a bathing suit on and look in the mirror and wonder if people would notice my ‘roll’ when I sat down or my butt giggle when I walked. It didn’t matter if others thought I looked great, I wouldn’t believe it and I would wonder what others would think of me. Fitness for me has been a process of bridging together mind and body. Having my expectation of my body be that it’s healthy and fit and that in my mind I love and accept myself no matter where my body happens to be. Something to know about this picture is that there was a time that this body wasn’t good enough and I always wanted to lose ‘10 more lbs’. My point is that no matter who we are, what we look like, what we weigh etc, EVERYONE has to build a healthy relationship with their body. A relationship that has NOTHING to do with what others think of you. Yes, summer is always a great tool and motivator for our physical goals. But let summer motivate you to want to be better for yourself. We all live in a body, and we all have the ability to be hard on ourselves. This summer, let the purpose of ‘getting into shape’ be about you and how you feel in your own skin. Let it be about setting realistic goals that are focused on YOU, your mental and physical health and not on others. ➡️For help getting started DM me💕

“What exercises do you do to build your butt?” “How long until I’ll have the butt I want?” Super common questions I get that I wasn’t always sure how to answer. Was it a certain exercise that changed my glutes?🧐 How long did it take until I noticed change...?🧐 K so I’ve figured out the answers to ... “What exercises do you do to build your butt?” “How long until I’ll have the butt I want?” Super common questions I get that I wasn’t always sure how to answer. Was it a certain exercise that changed my glutes?🧐 How long did it take until I noticed change...?🧐 K so I’ve figured out the answers to these questions. First of all, there was no specific exercise that I used to develop my glutes. I’ve done many different workout routines over the years that had everything from squats, lunges and hips thrusts in it. Probably the same exercises you’re doing. This is what changed for me: ➡️Injuring my hip (torn cartilage😭) made me have to start at the ground up learning how to engage my glutes and disengage or minimize engagement from the wrong muscles trying to help. When I look back, before my injury, I would simply just ‘do’ the exercises. Ya they were hard and I would be tired after my workout. But surprisingly when I had to learn a strong mind-muscle connection with my glutes and the surrounding affected muscles, I was able to use the RIGHT muscles during my exercises. I saw more change from using lighter weight but more focused engagement.☝🏼Advice: think about what your doing. Literally put your mind in your muscle and pay attention to your body as you workout. Don’t just ‘get it done’.➡️FACT: I’ve worked out for years but I saw zero change until the very day I changed how I ate. It wasn’t about eating perfect every single day. What it was for me was prioritizing getting in enough protein. I used to never eat protein. When I lived on my own in my early 20’s I would go to the gym and then have a salad or bowl of cereal or some pasta after the gym. I am not kidding you when I say that my body already looked so different after the first month of me prioritizing protein. People think that ‘building’ actually happens in the gym. The truth is, you don’t build in the gym. You breakdown in the gym and ONLY if you eat the foods your body needs to repair will you actually build.☝🏼Advice: Eating doesn’t have to be perfect but definitely try and prioritize getting in enough protein. This is the key to seeing your body change after its workouts. ➡️DM me for training help!
