A little known fact about me: I speak so little that sometimes I have convinced myself that I have said things to my husband that I never actually said, I only thought them. Does this happen to any of you?
You know that feeling you get when you see something so beautiful, that it almost feels like you are remembering a part of yourself? I think this is what artists do, except that this beautiful thing comes from the minds eye before it becomes tangible. Pretty much all artists I know of have no idea where their ideas and creations come from…are we remembering something? Or are we tapping into some unknown source? How is it that ancient cultures from all over the world generally have the same or very similar creation myths and stories? Just some things I think about, happy Sunday!

I really wanted this new line, Hexenwerk - to be something for everyone. I myself am quite fascinated with ancient Egypt. It never ceases to amaze me the skills ancient cultures from all over the world had, especially when it comes to crafting jewelry!

We can find descriptions of the witches work in the Disquisitionum magicarum libri sex from the year 1599 written by Martin Anton Delrio, where he tells that the witches use wooden sticks or brooms after they have applied their witchy salves, with their goat or other animal companions.

In Folklore, the "Hexenkreis" was a clear sign that a witch, a Hagazussa, was there in order to practice rituals, call upon spirits and was also often seen as a type of portal into the otherworlds. This folklore surely goes back to the early middle ages of Europe, when Christianity has declared many former Pagan traditions as evil and damaging. The role of mushrooms, however, has always been important in traditional shamanic cultures around the world.

The origins of European Paganism stem from an ancient time of nomadic cultures that lived during the Paleolithic and during the last ice Age. One of the first trees that grew after the last Glacial period, is the Birch tree. It's not surprising that the Birch is thus heavily associated with spiritual powers. .
.
In Siberia, there's many Birch forests and thus, in many cultures, the Birch is associated with the world tree or the tree of the shaman. It is thus not very surprising, that one of the most famous mushrooms, the Fly Agaric, grew around the tree and played an essential role in Folklore, Myth and shamanic practice. Mushrooms in general have been associated with the Underworld, the world of Ancestors and Spirits. .
.
The Birch is a witches tree in Folklore. And indeed, the pagan shattered pieces can be found everywhere. In my home-state of Bavaria, the rural population surely has heard of Berchta, Frau Percht and her Wild Hunt. Her name "the shining/the bright" likely goes back to the Proto-Indo-European word bherəg̑, which means "to shine" and means the Birch tree. Mushrooms are said to be of her realm, and that's partly why many mushrooms in Germany and Europe overall still have names like "Hexenpilz", "Hexenkreis" for fairy-rings, and many others. .
.
The use and understanding of mushrooms goes way beyond just ingesting them. The pagan worldview is cyclic, and nature is a cycle. Mushrooms are a big part of this as many recycle dead organic matter and give nutrients back to the soil: They are recyclers. Whether pre-christian cultures understood this or not, the Underworld in the pagan myths, is a place of transformation, old becomes new. A witch, or Hagazissa, is a woman with pagan knowledge in a non-pagan society. Shunned and feared for her old knowledge of tales and lore, of herbalism and everything that lies in the wilderness, the realm of spirits. .
.
That's where the image of the hedge-witch stems from: Her abilities to use and channel nature's forces. Just like the old woman of Berchta. Whenever you see a fairy-ring in the forest, she was there, practicing rituals with her goat companions, talking to the spirits.

European pagan beliefs and Myths often go hand in hand with a culture's heritage, way of life and ecology. It's thus very important to also look at the cultural anthropology and pre-history of Europe and Eurasia. If we look at the Grímnismál poem in Old Norse found in the Poetic Edda, which in turn was preserved in the Icelandic Konungsbók, we learn about Valhalla having a roof or top that is shining very golden, bright.
.
.
If we look at Norse Mythology as a whole, we can come to the conclusion, that many aspects of it are much older than the Viking Age or the cultures of North Germanic tribes. Motifs like Yggdrasil, the world-tree, the worlds that can be traveled via Yggdrasil, and even the Raven as a guide for Odin, are much older and can be found in similar ways across Eurasia in cultures we'd describe as "shamanic" or practicing "shamanism" today. .
.
Starting with the Upper Paleolithic Ahrensburg culture, many mesolithic hunter-gatherer cultures followed. Farming and Agriculture took much longer to get into Scandinavia, at around 4000 BC via the Funnelbeaker. During the 5th millennium BC, the Ertebølle hunter-gatherers survived mainly off of sea-foods. This was a very successful and advanced culture during the Neolithic living on the coastline. .
.
Men were buried with flint stones and women with jewelry, necklaces. Archaeologists discovered a house which they think was used for ritual and burial ceremonies. The house had a light wooden frame covered with animal fur that were covered in red ochre. .
.
The house itself might have looked like it had "golden roofs" and if there were burial or ritual ceremonies in that house, it appears that there's striking similarities between this Neolithic "tent-like" construction made out of light wood and fur painted in ochre - and what Mythology tells us Valhalla looked like. The origins of it all are still shrouded in mystery.

Inspired by early medieval scripts, the 9-herbs-charm from the 10th Century in Old English, and the Merseburg incantations in Old High German from the 10th Century. Thus, we named it High German HEXENWERK. The word HEXE is related to Old High German Hagazissa, the wise women who can jump over the fence, into the wilderness and otherworlds, and Proto-Germanic *hagatusjǭ; a sorcerer or witch. Thus, HEXENWERK is the practice and act of ritual of the Hagazissa, it's her work, it's witchcraft. It's Hexenwerk.

The Cave was found near the town of Montignac in 1940. France and Spain are very rich in pre-historic sites, because this is where these winter-loving "outdoorsmen" went to seek refuge during the last Ice Age.
.
.
ᛒ The Cave holds one of the must stunning cave paintings and rock Art. The Cave paintings show many Ice Age animals, symbols and signs that quite possibly could depict hunter-scenes, hunting-rituals and the symbolic world of these people. One such Ice Age animal is the mighty Aurochs. The Aurochs is also known as Urus and is a now extinct wild cattle.
.
.
ᚢ Etymologically, the name stems from Latin Urus and Proto-Germanic *ūraz. Some reconstructions would translate the term as "restlessness", something chaotic, wild, hence the proposed Rune meaning of Uruz. The Proto-Italic ouzō means "inflame", "burn" and might explain its association of Uruz the fire & ice concept of Norse Myths.
Italic scripts like the Lepontic & Etruscan scripts influenced the Runic Futhark to a great extent - The first Germanic culture Jastorf from 500 BC was influenced by the Celtic Hallstatt culture in the Alps. The Rune of Uruz is believed to be the reversed antlers of this Ice Age roamer.
.
.
ᛇ Animals were very important to these cultures and it is believed that totemism - the spiritual and shamanic worship of animals - is one of the earliest spiritual, pagan practices in Paleolithic Europe. In the Neolithic Settlement of Çatalhöyük in southern Anatolia, one of the biggest for its time around 7 000 BC, the antlers of cattle were kept on the walls of the Stone Age farmers homes.
.
.
ᛞ What we call Paganism today, was a sub-arctic spirituality deeply tied to nature and their way of life. Another important animal is the Bear. The word "Arctic", Greek "Arktos", PIE *rkÞo-s actually means Bear. The Bear Cult is attested in Finnic and Paleo-Siberian cultures as well as some Indigenous American cultures and stems from Paleolithic Hunter-Gatherers according to Italian Professor and linguist Mario Alinei. Book reference: Mario Alinei, "Evidence for Totemism in European Dialects”.

The truth is simple 🙂
.
.
.
ᛗ I’m not going to say it wasn’t hard, that was many years worth of hard work, but in the end, it was the engagement that matters. What good is an account with 30k if less than 1000 people were seeing my posts? Even to this day, a lot of my most engaged followers did not even see my multiple posts about the transition, and they were upset with IG because they were not shown my content.
.
.
.
ᛇ So what purpose does this new account hold? Simple. It’s fresh and new, not many followers and holds so much more potential because it doesn’t have inactive followers. If you missed all my previous posts about why this matters so much, please feel free to check that out.
.
.
.
ᚾ This new account is still going to face the same algorithm issues with IG only showing 10% of my followers the content I share, but because this account is so small, it will be much easier to manage. The funny thing is, I had this goal for 2018 to reach 100,000 followers, now I don’t even care! It’s not the numbers that matter, it’s the hearts and souls you touch - quality over quantity. And with that said, I am blessed to have you here ❤

Many fairy-tales aren't just tales, and it was for a long time believed that they aren't older than maybe 400-500 years. Until a recent study did a comparative analysis of Indo-European Folktales and found out that many tales indeed reach back as far as 5,000 years. Around 5,500 to 6,000 years ago, the first farmers went into western Europe via the Balkans with the arrival of the "Linear Pottery culture". ᛉ What the study concluded is that many fairy tales have been passed down from generation to generation over a long period of time. It is likely that hunter-gatherers during the Ice Age already had Mythology, if we look further East into Siberia and also North America, we can see that a linguistic and possibly mythological Continuity existed. This is not so easy for many Indo-European cultures, mainly due to the societal changes, if the "Indo-European Invasion" Theory is correct.
ᛉ The nomadic Ice-Age people without a doubt, already had a strong sense of symbolism. And Germanic-Norse Mythology do have motifs that can be traced back to that time. Pre-christian Europe is very much about the lifestyle and environmental influences that shaped the spiritual beliefs. Mythological motifs, such as the world pillar or later the world tree, Yggdrasil for example, can be found in many traditional Eurasian cultures with a shamanistic worldview and practice.
ᛉ The world-pillar or world tree is such a famous symbol that "... represents an adaptation to the Arctic and typifies a culture of mesolithic-paleolithic origins, it seems probable that the world pillar and associated mythical-ritual complex may be traced back to this time" ("Shamanism and Northern Ecology" by Juha Pentikäinen page 48). ᛉ The roots of Paganism in Europe are so ancient that even Germanic and Celtic cultures are very young, when compared to these origins. Many Myths are about the unity with nature in animistic cultures. Linguist Michael Witzel proposed the idea of a Proto-Mythology with similar symbols during the Stone Age that spread due to nomadic lifestyle.

As wonderful and convenient as these things are (and lifesaving in some circumstances), the world has changed because of them and I fear where we are going. Our own children will never know what it’s like without these devices and it affects them on such a serious, psychological level and we have no idea the long term effects this will have on them. We live in a time where “content is king”, and the best content ranks in the algorithm of the interwebs, always being force-fed what a robot thinks we want to see, read, listen to…
We rely so heavily on devices to handle such mundane tasks, and while technology used to fascinate me (before this digital age), the only future I can see is going to be a combination of Idiocracy and Wall-E. We either use our skills now, or lose them forever, never having taught basic human survival to our children. This scares the living hell out of me. Lately I have been going through this thing I have called “content-overload”, maybe there is an actual psychological term for this, or not. This has been happening to me every month now for awhile, this digital age forces me into retreat, the thought of going online makes me want to crawl into a hole and never come out. The last 2 weeks I’ve seen my phones battery life at 80-90% at the end of the day. And you know that? It feels great. How do you feel about where we are now and where we are going to be?

To piggyback off yesterdays post about my secondary account, @thewickedgriffin2 - I think for now I will try to at least post different captions. It is far too much work to post different pictures. If you followed my other account, I really hope I don't annoy you! I am most definitely not asking people on this account to follow that one. But with that said if that account meets or exceeds this accounts engagement, I will most likely make that account the main one and slowly phase this one out. I don't know how this is all going to work out as this really is just a test. I am sorry if this is asking too much, but if you do follow the second account, please engage with that one as I am going to be watching that account like a hawk and will be looking into follower stats monthly and blocking/unblocking accounts that are not engaging. Blocking/unblocking is a way to force unfollow and if you read yesterdays post you know the effect inactivity has on engagement and an accounts followers then not seeing content when they do actually engage. Yes! If an accounts followers do not engage enough, even if YOU do engage, you may never see it if too few of that accounts followers engage (what I explained in the tiered groups yesterday). I have been researching this for months and I have come to the conclusion that starting over is all I can do.

Some of you may have noticed that I have created a secondary account @thewickedgriffin2 and probably wondering why. Lately my reach on IG has been getting worse and worse. It's pretty sad and to be quite honest, embarrassing having an account with 33k followers. IG lately on average only shows about 4k to 7k followers my posts. The way the algorithm works is identical to FB. They will show a post to 10% of an accounts followers. If enough of that 10% engages, then it will be released to more people and so on. But if that original 10% does not engage enough, the post will never move on to the next tier. And then the next time an account posts, the post will be shown to even less people. It literally is a domino effect. If you are actually seeing this post, you are engaging with my account enough. Another thing to take note - IG includes inactive accounts in that initial 10% and so on. What does this mean? Of course inactive accounts will not engage, they won't see it because they don't even use their accounts. A few months ago I deleted (blocked and unblocked) over 3,000 inactive accounts. I did this all one by one and it took weeks. Another thing to note is when someone follows you but never, not even once, engages with your content, this is detrimental to that account and it's followers. By not engaging with the accounts you follow, you are actually providing a disservice to that account. I am not on here to complain, I just want to create awareness to the situation because this applies to everyone and not enough people understand what is really going on. The reason for my secondary account is to literally start over fresh and hopefully all my followers who don't see my content here might have the chance to see it again with the new account. If accounts are not engaging with my posts, I will force unfollow them. And there are no hard feelings at all! But in order for my account to be healthy, it must be done. I really am so done with the age of algorithms. I am sick of AI force feeding us what it thinks we want on all platforms. You followed someone, right? That should be enough of a reason to see someones content. If you have any questions feel free to ask! 🦊

I just wanted to take some time to explain some things to my newer followers who may be new to my work. Every item you see here is always available for sale on my website and Etsy shop. Each item is individually handmade one at a time, in other words - once you place an order your item is made just for you. Many of my items can be personalized with your choice of Runes or other symbols that I have available. Sometimes I do make one of a kind, higher end items and those are released in small mini collections. The Wicked Griffin is a combination of myself as the jewelry designer and maker, as well as my Bavarian native husband, Kevin. Together we bring you not only jewelry, but Kevin’s vast knowledge of European Paganism which he frequently shares on social media. We have full articles available on the official website as well and will continue to add more as time permits ❤️

After all, it was the Romans attempt to distinct them from each other as shown in their workings called Interpretatio Romana. Early Germanic cultures started with the Jastorf culture and the Celtic with the Hallstatt & La-Tene cultures: Both do come from Indo-European culture, however. There are multiple hypothesis on what exactly happened inbetween the late Neolithic and early Bronze Age Period: Some state that the western neolithic farming cultures were overrun by nomadic tribes, others believe it had more to do with the higher demographics of the pastoralists compared to the neolithic farming cultures. In Mythology, we can learn about Vanir & Aesir, with a heavy emphasis on Ziu (Proto-Germanic Tiwaz, the Proto-Indo-European *deywos, daylight) as Sky-God and the later (and much younger) Wotan (later norse Odin) (*Zeus, Jupiter). What is interesting is that the Vanir and the Aesir are often in conflict with each other. One is more focused on nature, fertility and the animistic side of nature. The other is heavily focused on a Sky-deity and dominant features. The belief of the Aesir might correlate with the appearance of the first Proto-Germanic culture of Jastorf, inbetween 500 and 600 BC. Wotan as the Chief of the Gods, who is a much younger God compared to Tiwaz, might give us some more insight into what happened in Europe during that time: The Vanir and Aesir are in conflict. They are hardly ever in harmony. Does Germanic Mythology tell us about what happened during the early Bronze Age in Europe? Does it tell us how Old Europe (Funnelbeaker & others) was replaced culturally by the conquest of Indo-European Pastoralists?

With the fall line, we'll explore old scripts for you students of traditional witchcraft. Thus, I want to look up some old sources like "Deutsche Mythologie" from Jacob Grimm, Hildegard von Bingen's "Physica" from the 12th Century, Paracelsus' and works from Johann Weyer & old German herbal books. .

Today I want to focus on the Old English 9 Herb charm. It was written in the 10th Century as part of the Lacnunga script. The 9 herbs offer significant insight into pre-christian Germanic beliefs and Woden himself is mentioned in the spells. It's important to understand that even though Christianity was well established during the middle Ages, pre-christian knowledge lived on in folklore. In the 9 herb Charm, Woden is mentioned here:
.
.
.
"A snake came crawling, it bit a man./Then Woden took nine glory-twigs/Smote the serpent that it flew into nine parts./ There apple brought this pass against poison,/That she nevermore would enter her house."
.
.
.
The first herb in 9 Herb Charm is Artemisia Vulgaris. Remember, Mugwort, what you revealed, what you established at the mighty proclamation 'Una' you are called, oldest of herbs. The herb belongs to the Frauenkräuter in German lore and is related to fertility and women. Women were the keeper of culture, knowledge and often the ones with medicinal knowledge. Roman Historian Tacitus reports about Germanic soldiers:
.
.
.
"They go to mothers and women when they are wounded, for they are not afraid of it, and bring food and comfort them into the midst of the fighting". Vulgaris might have been used as early as 17,000 years ago, this however, is not yet clear. Vulgaris is one of the most ancient ritual plants in Eurasia, it was believed that Vulgaris will aid pregnant women in giving birth. On a side note, Vulgaris in combination with Vervain is used in many midsummer flower wreaths in Germany. The Germanic tribes left no written text for us to verify how it was used. In the UK, mugwort plays a role in midsummer fires with 9 sacred woods. Vulgaris is known throughout Eurasia and the Americas as a healing tea, spice or incense, where it was deemed as sacred, protective. What role does mugwort play in your regional lore?

The stinging-nettle used to be called Donnerpflanze in German, as a reference to "thunder" and God Donar. When touching the plant, the power of Donar and his hammer was bestowed upon you. The herb was used in brewing beer. Pilsen, the city in the Czech Republic, from where Pilsner originates. Hyoscyamus niger, called Bilsenkraut, is a intoxicating herb used in the brewing of beers until the 17th Century.According to German Anthropologist Dr. Christian Raetsch, the German/Bavarian Purity law has to do with this. It was an attempt to get rid of the pagan devilsh herbs that Germanic speaking people have used in their brews to alter their minds. With deep etymological roots to Proto-Germanic "Bil", "to have visions and/or magical powers", Bilsenkraut was planted in gardens also in Pilsen to brew it. The Birch tree, the first type of tree after the Ice Age, and in Russia, the infamous Amanita Muscaria/Fly Agaric often grows around the white barked tree. In some parts of Siberia among indigenous tribes, the birch is the sacred world tree. In western Europe, Birch/Birke/Berchta/Berkano/Brehtaz all go back to the Proto-IE word "Berehg", "to shine", the shining-white tree. Its bark and leafs have been used in teas. It's the tree of Freya. The Chaga fungus is also known among the Saami in northern Scandinavia. The Elderberry, Holunder, was so sacred until the 17th Century that you were not allowed to cut it down. And in many rural parts, the Elderberry was planted right next to the pile of manure on a homestead. Holunder is related to Frau Holle, the bavarian Berchta, the Goddess of the Underworld. She absorbs all that is dead, ill, sick through the tree deep down into her realm. Diseases and sicknesses were often believed to be worms that are eating on your soul and body, the so called Krankheitswurm. The Merseburg Charms from northern Germany are the only written magic spells that give us an insight into the Germanic pagan beliefs and the 9 herb charms are testament to the sacredness of herbs used in folklore and witchcraft. Have you seen the flower wreaths during midsummer in Sweden? Every herb has a mythological background, connected to fertility & rebirth.

The Underworld is the meeting-point of the Hagazussa (Hedge-woman), who can "jump over the fence and roam the wilderness". This is a reference to the wild, untamed capabilities of the human mind; to communicate with nature and channel its forces. Among indigenous traditional cultures this is done via someone who knows, who heals; what we'd call a shaman today. Someone, who was initiated, born into such culture and taught by a traditional elder. We've had this type of Spirituality as well in Europe. In western Europe, this is more distorted since the Roman Empire. If we study Finno-Ugric cultures, we'll find a culture that honors trees, does offerings in sacred groves (Mari Pagans), or communicates with the Underworld via drumming, joik-singing done by a Noaidi Elder from the Saami. In Folklore and Fairy-tales, we'll find the image of a young girl and an old woman/witch; Hansel & Gretel, Frau Holle, Little-Red-Riding Hood. What if the young girl and the old woman in many tales are one and the same deity? Holle/Berchta is two-faced, a shapeshifter, she's one who knows, resides in the Underworld, she's a young girl and an old woman. In the Bavarian Perchtenlauf-tradition with pagan origins, Berchta is either "Schiach" (ugly) or "schoen" (the bright). In many old German books, she has two faces, often young, the other old. These wise people were people who knew about sacred plants and herbs. This goes far back in time - studies have shown, that even Neanderthals knew about certain plants and herbs, in burials, for example. Plants didn't heal because of its chemical compounds; it is the living being residing inside the plant, that heals. This is especially clear in Hinduism, which has ancient pagan roots. The Puja ritual often refers to sacred trees and plants and the ancient four Vedas are ancient written texts in Sanskrit that mention such plants and spirits. In western Europe, we have the Old English 9 Herbs Charm from the 10th Century & the Merseburg Charms. The Merseburg Charm from the 10th Century is very important. The medieval magic spells offer insight into pre-christian herbalism & witchcraft. Many of the plants are still used in traditions & customs.

"When tracing the history of European cultures and language back, there is a number of questions that arise. We can trace and identify many Myths & Gods via comparative linguistics in Indo-European languages, like Thor - as an example. Thor is also called Perun in Slavic Myths, Taranis in Celtic Myths, the same deity, but different names and terms, but still roughly the same myths. Thor goes back to the Proto-Indo-European God Perkunos. And here's the deal: it is widely assumed and believed that the European continent experienced a "clear cut" inbetween the cultures of the Neolithic & Chalcolithic, when it was invaded by Indo-European conquerors. This happened especially during the Bronze Age. During the Iron Age, we see how Germanic languages diversify, with different dialects, and so on. But did these Proto-IE people conquer all of Europe, and were all the Myths before that period replaced? During the Pre-Pottery Neolithic in the Near East, the earliest farmers used "Neolithic Spirit Masks". These masks are assumed to have been used during Ancestor worship and Shamanic-like rituals, mostly revolving around Death and the Spirits of the Dead. Some of these masks found in Israel are around 9 000 years old. It is believed that the masks personify the Dead and their spirits and the masks themselves were used during said rituals. Pieces of such a mask were also found in Southern Germany, and it might give us more of an insight into the pagan Spirituality of the earliest farming cultures that settled there; especially the Linear Pottery culture that settled along the Danube. The Danube is an interesting place in Germany - our Dialects alone, or my native Dialect which is Swabian/Bavarian - about "40% inherently intelligible of Standard German" according to linguistics. There's vocabulary that only exists in the Upper German dialects. But why, where does it come from? Some believe, that words from the Hallstatt sneaked into our dialects, others believe it might be Pre-IE origins from these early farmers along the Danube. Did some Myths, beliefs & pagan Spirituality survive and lived on in IE-cultures, or; was there never actually a "real cut", a discontinuity?

You know one of the hardest things for me to do is coming up with what to say? Unlike my husband, Kevin - I’m the quiet one and generally only speak when I have something major to say. I’m not gifted with words by any means, though I wish I was. I’m not poetic, but I am in my best element when left to create with my hands. I find there are two types of artists. Those who express words and concepts through art, and those who express art through words and music. I married my opposite in that aspect. It sure makes things easier! I hope you have a great weekend 😌

"The Sun has been worshipped and viewed as divine, sacred and powerful. It's the giver of life. Now that we are heading toward Midsummer, "Sonnenwende" in German, plenty of traditions will be held in the Alps of Bavaria and Austria. …
From the mountains of Tyrol, Austria, to southern Bavaria, all over the place. In some areas, the mountains will be covered with little fires in honor of this beautiful time of the year. Sonnwendfeuer are they called, or Johannisfeuer, the celebration of Midsummer. It's also the time of celebration, of having drinks with family, and of love. …
As Julius Caesar said in his Gallic wars: The Germanic people worshipped the Sky, Moon and the Sun. This Sky God is no one else but Tiwaz, or norse Tyr. The much older and more popular deity of PIE origin called deywós, later replaced by Woden or Odin in the Norse languages. In the pagan worldview, this is traditionally a time of marriage between the Sun and the Earth, between humans and nature. The time of celebrating life & love. …
And apropos, even the Roman Historian Tacitus said some very nice words about the Germanic's love life, see here in Chapter 18: "Their marriage code, however, is strict, and indeed no part of their manners is more praiseworthy. Almost alone among barbarians they are content with one wife, except a very few among them, and these not from sensuality, but because their noble birth procures for them many offers of alliance." What a nice Guy! Glad midsommar to you and yours.

I really love how the antler pendant turned out! This customer requested a Vinca symbol instead of a Rune and it worked perfectly. Also shown here are the Krampus earrings 🖤 Even though the latest collect, URKRAFT, launched only a couple months ago, I am already coming up with new designs for a fall line! The theme is going to be the underworld as well as some other items I’ve just been itching to bring to life. I’m aiming for a September launch, so I really hope nothing prevents that from happening! But expect to see some darker designs 🖤 If you have any specific requests now would be the time to let me know in the comments. .

…..
In the deep spruce forest
I can still feel them,
The legends, which are millennia old.
They still live here
In trees and game,
In creek and stone
From the cold ice
Deep forests have risen
As the sun goes, so do we
With the eternal dance of the earth. - Kevin
….. Julius Caesar in Book VI of his Gallic Wars: “The Germans differ much from these usages, for they have neither Druids to preside over sacred offices, nor do they pay great regard to sacrifices. They rank in the number of the gods those alone whom they behold, and by whose instrumentality they are obviously benefited, namely, the sun, fire, and the moon; they have not heard of the other deities even by report”
