How are you spending your days during this unique time in our lives? What do you do to keep entertained...Reading? Picking up a new skill or hobby? Planning ahead? I can honestly say, that I expected to be much more bored than I am. In fact, I feel a sense of relaxation & peace. It feels like the entire world has slowed down. Maybe it’s the lack of pressure & commitment that surrounds my everyday life, or perhaps it’s knowing that we are all in this together that keeps me sane. I tend to get stir crazy if I don’t spend time outdoors. But that is not the case as of right now. I am taking this day by day while retaining a sense of positivity. Anyhow, I have been keeping myself productive with organizing & cleaning my apartment. I have been trying new recipes, and new at-home workouts. And, let me just add...I am not hating this new style of workout. It is nice to switch up the normal routine. Sorry for the rambling .... this caption is considered pretty “deep” for me lol. Anyhow, have a good day everyone. Stay safe & remain positive ☀️🙏🏻

Outfit: @bombshellsportswear 💙 DON’T MAKE EXCUSES, MAKE SOLUTIONS! Almost all of us are in the same boat & we can’t workout as we normally do. So we gotta get creative! For example, my cardio sessions lately have been my apartment staircase. For the past week, I’ve been putting in 40mins at these stairs. I’ve done stair runs, skips & even throw in some sets of weighted kickbacks (as shown here). Luckily for me, everyone seems to use the elevator instead of the stairs. I have not seen anyone on this staircase yet 😆 What are some unique ways that you’ve been working out from home? Let me know in the comment section below 👇🏼 #bombshellsportswear . . Side Note* because I know someone will comment about it, NO ONE uses these stairs. YES I washed my hands after (& showered). For example, taking the elevator rather than the stairs, driving a mile to the convenience store rather than walking, desert after dinner, and your midday pick-me-up latte loaded with sugar & cream. PAY ATTENTION to these small habits. Ask yourself what can you do to improve? With that being said, don’t forget to take your vitamins, kids. Staying LEAN during QUARANTINE 💪🏼 idk about you guys, but for me, the most difficult part about being in closed in my apartment is “boredom eating” 🤭 All this food in my kitchen, and less things to do can be a recipe for cravings 🍰 Before you give into the empty calories...take a moment to ask yourself, “Am I really hungry? Or am I just bored?”. If it’s not time to eat yet, you can keep your tastebuds entertained by chewing piece of sugar free gum instead. Additionally, make sure you’re properly hydrated to eliminate that need for additional and unnecessary treats. MODIFY YOUR WORKOUT to a HOME/OUTDOOR WORKOUT 💪🏼 Most of us are stuck inside, bored....& loosing our gains! 😜IF YOU CAN (& only if it’s possible/safe) Take your workout outside! But if you can’t, the house works too, it’s just not as fun 🙃 I will be completely honest, I have never been a fan of home workouts, but hey... we gotta make it work during these tough times. Always remember, some workout is better than no workout at all! With that being said, I’ve compiled a list of modifications that you can use to help you get in a decent workout during this unique situation: . . 🏠 Change weight to a “body weight” exercise. In this case, go for more reps! . . 🏠 Resistance bands are everything right now. Order some online if you don’t have any! Additionally, you can invest in a stability ball, ankle weights and light dumbbells too if your budget allows. . . . . 🏠Don’t have weights? Can’t access any? Try heavy items found around the house such as gallon water bottles. . . 🏠 Try using a platform or an incline to target a different area of the muscle. Such as a low chair, ottoman or even your couch. . . 🏠 modifying feet or hand placement for a new challenge. . . 🏠Add plyos into your routine to intensify the workout - or- you can add movement to the exercise. For example: air squat VS. jumping squat. . . 🏠 try unilateral movement such as single arm/single leg. Single leg/arm movements tend to be more difficult and less weight is needed. Outfit: @bombshellsportswear . CABLE GLUTE KICKBACKS ⚡️ I’m sure we’ve all performed these before. But here’s a small tip to make these even more effective 👉🏼 instead of bending your knee at the end/bottom of the exercise, try keeping the leg straight & concentrate the movement to the top of the glute. This shortens rest at the end of the exercise, thus making it more difficult to perform. By adjusting the movement to more of a “pulse” rather than a full range of motion, it will create more time under tension. Coach Adam taught me this tip! How do you get motivated in the morning when you're not a morning person? For me, personally, I have so much energy and motivation when I wake up. But... I understand for most ppl that the day started is a bit more challenging 🤓 Below, I wrote a list of the top tips for my non-early bird friends on how to get that jumpstart in the morning for a productive day! . - Try to go to sleep and wake up at the same time every day if possible . - Shoot for 7-8 hours . - Stop drinking caffeine after 4pm . -Try taking Melatonin on a consist any basis at the same times each night . - Write your itinerary/schedule a couple hours before bed for the following day and week, so you wake up with a vision of how the day is going to flow . - When you wake up, try not to hit snooze more than once... force yourself to sit up or stand up out of bed immediately. It may be a good idea to place your phone or alarm clock on the far end of your bed room. This will force you to get up and turn it off . - Keep fat burners next to your bed so when you wake up, you can take one immediately for energy! I use @hitechpharma Lipodrene Elite . - Have your outfits set out the night before. . - When you wake up, do your makeup and hair with care and detail so you feel fresh and confident when you walk out of the door! .
