You Can’t Stop Sport. Because You Can’t Stop Us. #YouCantStopUS @nike ———————————————————
Believing that we can make an impact beyond throwing and hitting a ball because I believe in giving back to my sport and it’s future. I want the next generation of young women and athletes to grow up to be boldly confident in who they are and what they can accomplish! Sports create the space, the outlet, the experience, and the relationships to create change! Nothing can stop what we can do together!
Honored x forever kind of thing
Most of us were supposed to make our Olympic debut today. To take the field on the biggest stage, to take that first step into our dream in front of that crowd. Today was supposed to be Game 1 of the Olympics. But it’s not.
I’m kind of sad, somewhat mourning what was supposed to be. But that debut, that stage, that dream, that crowd, and that first game will be worth the wait. The softball community has been patient for 12 years, so we know how to wait. What’s one more year?
A little sad but mostly grateful for the chance and for my team that has really taken everything in stride, getting stronger through it all. ❣️ It doesn’t matter what year it is, it’s an honored x forever kind of thing to be a part of this. 🇺🇸 something great is coming from this, I know it & and I trust it!

The truth is...conviction is everything. I’ve learned just how true this is the last few weeks because for the first time in my life I had to decipher my convictions at their deepest level. And the one thing that continued to set my course is my conviction to be obedient to what God has for me. Whatever that looks like.
Thoughts that really resonated with me and got me through were “When I am weak, you are strong” and “This is not my home.” If I’m honest these phrases weren’t unknown to me mentally but it was the first time that I felt them spiritually.
I found myself in desperate prayer saying “God, I don’t have anything left in the tank, but I know you’re going to carry me. When I am weak, you are strong” it was the first time that I had said that out loud. And in that emptiness I felt peace and confidence. Then while bearing different burdens of other people’s opinions and various stress, I found myself thinking “this isn’t my home” and for the first time that phrase pierced my heart and resonated deep. There is more beyond this life and what I FEEL right now.
Now I don’t mean to over spiritualize the situation, these were real life moments that grounded me when I felt in over my head. As a people pleaser, I had to challenge myself to remember who I will answer to and how I want Him to see me. And when I’m at the end of my life, when I finally get to heaven and I get to be with my creator, I hope to hear “well done, my good and faithful servant.” That doesn’t mean I’m going to always get it right. But that is where my heart lies, that is where my convictions come from—serving God, loving His people, and walking in His purpose for my life. — Convictions are everything, we all have them, and we need to do our best to look closely in order to honor them as best we can. ✨
For the rest of my life, this experience will be marked by the good people in the middle of the hard stuff.
The exhausted late nights consisting of the unique ebb and flow of deep conversations & light laughter. The heavy depth co existing with easy friendship. The honesty. The emotions. The honoring of each other’s differences and space. The truth. It’s tough to understand unless you’re in it. We were in it.
This experience will forever be marked by the strength of community I felt with these women, (and the rest of the women on @thisisussb ) all going through it together. We’re not done, we’re just getting started, but wow—I’m grateful. ✨ Glad we got this photo to remember. #ThisIsUsSoftball
