My favorite thing about springtime in Portland are the flowers, I've never seen so many flowers blooming at once in my life. I grew up in the tropics, where its always green and we always have flowers scattered around. So the concept of seasons was foreign to me, especially the magic of spring.
Watching everything come back to life after months of cold, dull grayness is absolutely otherworldly to me and I love it 🌸
The trees pictured are Magnolias ✨

More from my day at Bagby hot springs yesterday 💗
These tubs are hand made and were constructed in the 70's, there are currently about 6 of them in an outdoor bathhouse which are fed by 130°F volcanic mineral water.
Oregon has many hidden treasures, and this one is definitely one of my favorites.

Dreaming of Puerto Rico.
These were taken in Old San Juan, the actual oldest European colony in North America and oldest city in the US (1521). It pre-dates both St. Augustine FL (1565) and Jamestown (1585) but San Juan is always left out of our American history books for some reason.
Settled by the Spanish, many of the houses, cathedrals and forts date back to the 1600's and the 2nd oldest cathedral in the western hemisphere is located here.
If you seek a piece of Europe away from Europe and some of the richest history in all the US, then this is the place to go.
