#ad Milk and Bread…. no there’s no snowstorm coming, I’m just a hot mess mom trying to get my life in order before I pickup kids from school. #ad With Sheetz it’s a one stop shop. Milk (check) Hamburger Buns for dinner (check) gas (check) and a late lunch to eat in carpool line (check). Now I’m ready to tackle the rest of my day! #ShareMySheetz #SheetzRun #SheetzRunAndDone #SheetzFreak #Sheetz #momlife #momhacks #baseballmom #momtaxi #carpoolmom
One thing I am struggling with right now is knowing the right thing to do sometimes. I like rules. Ask anyone in my real life, I am a big rule follower. I find myself now not sure sometimes of the right from wrong. Is it ok to drive to a park to walk? Should we hang out with some friends on the deck? Should we be buying non essential things online (making more work for suppliers and drivers?) I am all in on #flattenthecurve and fully believe that it will make a difference if we ALL take action. But what if I’m doing it wrong? At the end of the day we have to do the best we can to help, and continue to learn and navigate as the days go on. What are some restrictions you have decided on for your family if any? My kiddos are pretty much in our house or outside... same for me with some time at work when needed and grocery runs at non peak hours. We decided no restaurants, movies, play places, malls..... I’m hoping by doing everything we can, even a small difference can be made.
I know for a lot of people it’s been a very long day, heck a long week. I am sharing the things in my life right now, as I have done for years with you all. Hoping that seeing lives of other real people helps. I am not an expert, I never want to drive fear. For me, right now, something that continues to help is routines. Our daily routines may change drastically over the next few weeks, but creating some sort of normal or new normal is important. So tonight like every other I clean up my kitchen. Hang in there everyone and look for the moments that bring you hope. For me it was the sense of community at the grocery store. Everyday find one thing that brings you hope. Thank y’all so much for the feedback about try ons in stores.... I got so many awesome comments and thoughts. The biggest takeaway was *shockingly* ... (read: not at all) people want real ness. They love seeing the try ons but want to know the reality of what people actually walk away with or skip. 👏🏻 I 👏🏻 HEAR 👏🏻 YOU on that! So it’s something I am going to include anytime I do an in store try on. It’s also why I share my outfits lately stories too, so you can see the pieces I wear over and over again! Real people wear the clothes they get and don’t just return them 😝. PS this weeks outfits are 👆🏻👆🏻 in stories!. #outfitslately #whatsamwore #size12 #momstyle
The little things matter a lot to @giantfood #ad I spent my morning wandering the aisles and taking in all the excitement of the Giant opening at seven corners this morning. Of course the offerings are incredible, the store is gorgeous... but more than all that there is definitely a sense of community in this new store. From community outreach displayed during the ribbon cutting to the dedicated employees... more next week on the blog, but check out my stories 👆🏻👆🏻👆🏻 to get a sneak peek at all this store has inside! #giant #grocerystore #giantfoods #NOVA #dc
