Growing up as a kid, basketball was all I played...and I play it all day in the driveway, at school, frds driveway, community center...I would just ball. That's how I met some of my best frds, we would watch the games tgt and then shoot hoops in between quarters and halftime...lower the rim and do dunk contest...get so close to the TV just to see what kicks the stars are rocking on court...that's the time when MJ made his famous “I'm Back” statement...and all those yrs I only rock jays...first pair was a 3 cement...then it was the X, THEN it was the Concords...that shit was so shiny even my teachers had to stop me to check them out...I would ball the shit outta them until they have holes in the bottom...and then buy SLAM from grocery stores...that shit was pretty new then...MJ came back, dominated the league...then came Kobe...with all the hype you can imagine, even back in them days...so much confident, cocky look on his face, brought fucking Brandy to the prom...winning the dunk contest...but not getting many playing times...but still watch all the games I could...and when MJ finally retires...Kobe just fitted beautifully in replacing MJ as the face of the NBA...didn't buy his shoes yet tho, was still rocking jays for a long time until Kobe's 4 I started wearing Kobe's with the low top design...and ever since, Kobe's has become my favorite balling shoes, even more so then Air Jordans...man...there's endless memories of MJ and Kobe I can go on and on with it cuz it's been part of my life since 1995 ... FUCKING SAD...Rest easy Kobe and Gianna, and to all the other that was involved in this tragic accident...Prayers for Venessa and their children and to the families that are torn by this accident.
this really hurts 💔
