I’ve found it, the perfect song. All Saints were ahead of their time.
Also I’m not playing a piano, the music is coming straight out of my lady land, that’s why it’s not in shot.
If you are living with yourself right now, why not use it as a chance to upskill? Can you half an apple with your bare hands like our Paul here? Something more useful than my philosophy degree in these current times perhaps.
@livingwithyourself all available to stream WORLDWIDE on @netflix “Aisling are you once again using this situation to plug your work?” “Dave, as I’ve said before... yes. “
If you do manage to half an apple with your hands please tag me & @livingwithyourself in the video. Please do it with clothes on. 👍🏻
Here I am pretending to be chatting on the phone when actually… I am on hold. We are all on hold for a bit now & this post is an excuse to talk about a few people who it’d be great to help out if you can who are going to be hit the most - not by the virus necessarily, but by the impact of the world stopping a bit.
It must sound like I am explaining how to suck eggs - a phrase I ironically understand even though I sort of also don’t.
People who have a low cash flow, the elderly, 0 hour contract workers delivering food or driving cars who have to interact with loads of people to pay bills. (Remember to tip drivers for things like Deliveroo…etc who are already underpaid)
People currently forced to live in overcrowded refugee camps. It gives a lot of perspective about anyone who judges people who flee the threat of actual war given how panicky a disease is making everyone globally. Follow/ if you can donate to @helprefugees.
Do drop a few texts to anyone who lives alone, something like this can be panic inducing & very lonely.
Not everyone can afford to stockpile & food banks are down at least 25% of their normal donations.
There is a basket at the end of the tills in most supermarkets & those donations are low now due to the mass buying. If you’re popping to the shops PLEASE make some donations.
@trusselltrust (Trusselltrust.org) are a UK wide support network for food banks. They provide food & support to people in poverty. On their website you can find a local food bank in your area or make a money donation.
In the UK, more than 14 million people live in poverty & unfortunately the items that food banks give out are the items that everyone is currently stockpiling e.g. pasta, toilet roll and soups. Sanitary stuff! Always throw some of those in, people will still be getting their period. The @thehygienebank have lots of drop off points in @bootsuk around the UK.
Feel free to tag anyone else you think from your area. Take it easy, make clever decisions & if you can afford to, donate to those who can’t afford to be sick or not work. Most people are really lovely & this shows we have more in common than we don’t. x
Well tonight seems like a GREAT TIME to watch a comedy about being on your own. So if you’re trapped indoors or lonely, feel free to join me and my two sexy friends @indypindy9 & @sharonhorgan in #ThisWayUp - all on All4, iTunes & @hulu in America. “Aisling, are you using this time as an opportunity to plug your show?”
“It would appear Dave, I am, yes.” 👩🏻🌾
If you’re excited about St.Patrick’s Day, why not get excited about #endometriosisawareness month? I’ll tell you why, because endometriosis is FUCKING AWFUL for the women who get it like my pal comedian, actress & author @eleanorthom .I’m so proud of her for writing this brilliant book which looks at it with HUMOUR, love & advice & interviews with loads of fellow sufferers & another hilarious pal who is a comedian & author @lenadunham 😍 I don’t have it thankfully but I still read the book with interest for advice on coping with any pain especially physical & long term & just vagina stuff! Eleanor is just bloody funny too. Please buy it. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 #aislingsbookclub
